𝗍𝗈𝗈 𝗆𝗎𝖼𝗁.

Levi felt uncomfortable, his collar was almost too suffocating to bare. It had been exactly 2 days since he had been pestered to ask you out. You were a pen pal of Mikasa's, you both were fluent in English and had been exchanging letters for years now .

When you came to visit Mikasa, you met Levi and he was enchanted  by you. Despite the language barrier—Mikasa sensed the chemistry between the both of you and that's what led to him and you now.

You both had planned to go to an aquarium since it was quiet and it wouldn't be as crowded as a zoo.

Levi slightly sprayed some cologne on his neck, making sure not to spray too much as you probably couldn't handle the pungent smell

Levi checked the time on his phone, it was the fifth time he checked it in the last two minutes, he didn't want to miss the time in which you would arrive. All the overthinking made him feel nervous. VERY nervous.

' (will she like this)?'  Levi wondered, he didn't want to be too casual or too formal-

" 何してるの？
𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖽𝗈𝗂𝗇𝗀?

Levi slightly jumped at the sound of Mikasa near the doorframe. Mikasa scrunched her nose at Levi, repeating what she had asked before

" ( I'm getting ready)" Levi retorted back. Mikasa rose a brow and sighed harshly, " ( hurry then, [y/n] is waiting outside)" Mikasa pointed out, going into the bathroom

Levi observed Mikasa who washed her hands in the sink, " ( you look fine, she won't judge)" Mikasa added, having known Levi's worries were centred around his looks

Levi muttered a thanks and made his way to the door with his phone in hand. Levi let a sigh escape his lips when he opened the door to see you waiting for him

" おはよう!
𝗆𝗈𝗋𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀!

You tried greeting Levi in his language. You had been practicing a few short phrases here and there. Levi murmured morning back to you, his lips slowly curving upwards when you turned around

Levi thought quietly to himself . Seeing that Levi wasn't budging, you turn back around, your hands gesturing to leave.  Luckily Levi understood, walking with you to your destination

L A T E R

You looked over Levi's shoulder, staring at the Google translator on his phone. You had been talking about your hobbies and interests. You laughed here and there at his failed attempts to make you laugh

" ここは気に入りましたか ?
𝖽𝗈 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗅𝗂𝗄𝖾 𝗂𝗍 𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾?

Levi showed you the screen which quickly popped up in English. You give a light smile and take his phone and reply with your answer

" ( I do like it here. Although everything is different, with you, it's worth while)" was what you typed back to Levi. Levi stared at the screen for a while, smiling internally to himself

" ....uh animal you like?" Levi looked back at you, wondering if his English sounded fluent to you. You were shocked he asked you in English and to that, you replied with your favourite animal

𝖨 𝗁𝖺𝗏𝖾 𝗇𝗈 𝗂𝖽𝖾𝖺 𝗐𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝗌𝗁𝖾'𝗌 𝗌𝖺𝗒𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗂𝗍 𝗌𝗈𝗎𝗇𝖽𝗌 𝗀𝗈𝗈𝖽.

He was honestly starstruck with you, he didn't want to show it but it was painfully obvious the way his heart pounded out his chest, he was surprised  you didn't hear his heartbeat with the amount of space you shared

" oh we are here!" You realised, recognising the familiar characters that displayed on the train screen. Levi popped an 'ah' before grabbing your bag and walking with you out the train

On this day, it was terribly crowded and as you walked further you kept getting swept away. Levi couldn't get close to you with the amount of people getting in the way. With that, you devised a plan and grabbed Levi's hand to his bewilderment

" sorry" you murmur, 'maybe he felt awkward....' You observed the way he was staring at you. " don't be.." Levi murmured quietly as you guided him out

" あなたの手(て)はとても柔らかい(やわらかい)です。

" ( I want to hold them forever)"

L A T E R

" wow the animals are so cute!" You felt like pressing your face against the glass that held the fishes, you had been walking around the entrance of the aquarium. You adored many sea animals. It reminded you of the time where you told Mikasa about your favourite sea animal in your letters

" it is" Levi replied, hoping that was a appropriate answer. He had been learning a lot of phrases in English ever since he met you months ago [ with the help of Mikasa ]

Levi merely glanced at you, walking to another section of jellyfishes. The whole time your mouth was wide open as you expressed how the colours of each fish were amazing and unique. The room was dimly lighted, the blue rays shined on your skin beautifully

Levi noticed how your eyes sparkled with such joy which was very contagious to his lips

𝖨 𝗅𝗈𝗏𝖾 𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝖾𝗒𝖾𝗌.

Snapping out of his daze, Levi only realised the time, " yeah..are you..hungry?" Levi pointed to his lips in case you didn't understand him. " oh" you understood, immediately nodding with a smile

" mhmm" Levi nodded, walking pass you. You look behind you, was he leading you somewhere? You walked after Levi and after some time you saw him stop at an ice cream store

" flavour?" Levi spoke to you after you caught up with him. You assumed he meant your favourite flavour and you told him with the help of Google translate and some pictures

" どうも
𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗇𝗄 𝗒𝗈𝗎.

You reply to Levi after receiving the ice cream serving. Levi hummed, not knowing how to respond to your politeness.

Licking the ice cream you accidentally left some of the cream on your cheek. Levi saw this, not knowing how to respond, he only responded with actions 

You were flabbergasted when he softly wiped the cold treat off your cheek. His hands were really soft. You softly thought, being lost in his eyes

Levi was attentive to you, as his hand parted. With only a few seconds to register what happened, you bursted out laughing out of embarrassment. Levi stared at your reaction, you were like a virus to him , you were infectious and that made him chuckle too. just a little of course. 

It was silence after that, not in a awkward way but in a way, it was peaceful

Levi couldn't help but glance at you from time to time when you ventured to see more animals. Only one thing replayed in his mind

" あなたに言いたいことがたくさんあるのですが、どうやって伝えればいいのか分かりません。
𝖳𝗁𝖾𝗋𝖾 𝖺𝗋𝖾 𝗌𝗈 𝗆𝖺𝗇𝗒 𝗍𝗁𝗂𝗇𝗀𝗌 𝗂 𝗐𝖺𝗇𝗍 𝗍𝗈 𝗌𝖺𝗒, 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗂 𝖽𝗈𝗇𝗍 𝗄𝗇𝗈𝗐 𝗁𝗈𝗐 𝗍𝗈.

Levi damned himself in the moment, sometimes he wished he had his cousins traits which was being good at speaking English so he could get to know you better and tell you his true feelings

" pretty isn't it?" You poked Levi who seemed lost in his daze. You were pointing at the matching merchandise, which appeared to be bracelets with dead animals on it

Levi secretly thought it was cute although his face showed the opposite of what he was thinking, you always thought the stoic man was mad all the time

" buy?" Levi pointed at the matching sets of keychains. " you don't have to buy them, it might be overpriced" you retort, not knowing if the man could understand you at all

" expensive" you phrase, simplifying the sentence to him. Levi's lips slowly opened. " don't worry" Levi took the bracelets without hesitation . Although it didn't show on his face, he was happy to match with you at any cost

You were a little shocked as you watched him walk into the shop to pay. He was a sweet guy the more you got to know him.

" ( just this?)" the cashier scanned the trinkets before putting them in a small portable plastic bag. " (yes)" Levi murmured

The cashier was an old woman and she glanced over to you waiting for him, " ( is she your girlfriend?)" she had to ask. Levi's face turned bright red upon the mention

" ( I was observing from afar. But by your reaction I'm assuming you are just on a friendly date right? You two are perfect for each other, best you confess all your feelings before something happens )" the old woman advised

" ( wouldn't that be too fast.)" Levi was confused. " ( you only live once)" the old woman chuckled, giving Levi the plastic bag

Levi noted the advice,

" ありがとう ございます
𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗇𝗄 𝗒𝗈𝗎

Levi politely thanked the lady, travelling back to you.
You stood there patiently, Levi loved that about you, how you would always wait for him

" here" Levi passed you the bag. " thank you so much!" Your eyes glittered, taking out the bracelets. You wasted no time, putting it on your wrist

There was a moment of silence where you stared at Levi's wrist. He seemed to have gotten the message after a few seconds and pulled out his hand to you

You shared a bright smile, placing the bracelet lightly on his wrist. Levi stared at your giddy expression, feeling his heart flutter once more.

" キスしたい
𝗂 𝗐𝖺𝗇𝗍 𝗍𝗈 𝗄𝗂𝗌𝗌 𝗒𝗈𝗎.

Levi felt hopelessly devoted to you, although he tried not too, he always came back to you. Levi's hands quivered in your embrace

" look at the time...it's pretty late" you pouted, looking at the time, you stared back to Levi whom had no reaction

" 遅い
𝗂𝗍𝗌 𝗅𝖺𝗍𝖾

You could only phrase, Levi had seemed to get the message and nodded slightly. " ( I want to spend more time with you)" he thought

You looked at Levi's expression, he seemed somewhat unsatisfied with the whole ordeal. You think for a moment, a slight smirk on your lips

You place your lips on Levi's cheek, letting it linger there so you could savour the moment just a little bit more

Levi thought, he was shocked, he felt as if he ascended to heaven for a bit before you quickly parted away. You stared into each others eyes for a moment before you both expressed a light chuckle

Without any more words to exchange, Levi softly grabbed your hand, walking hand in hand back to the train station
