Farlan reasoned with Levi, " no I can't risk it, maybe we can starve a little longer " Levi dismissed

You heard their voices through the door, clenching your hands into hard fists against your chest 

you knew you were capable and you just couldn't bare seeing them suffer any longer, it was time to take matters in your own hands 

You waited till they slept and till it was very early in the morning and snuck outside 

You wore your coat and used your stolen gear to get around the underground 

You sped around and saw a food stall and sighed knowing it wasn't much but at least you wouldn't starve for 5 days 

You went down and walked casually and when the right moment came you stole the bread and the old lady nagged you as you ran away quickly 

you got your gear and hooked to a building 

As you got on it you turned and suddenly saw green capes follow you 

"shit, I didn't see them" you thought as you sped through the building 

You were panicking as you went building to building and they were still on your trail. Right now you were just as skilled as Levi but it turns out it wasn't enough as they somehow caught you off guard and trapped you 

You gasped as someone grabbed your hand making you drop the food that was not rightfully yours 

" finally caught you" someone murmured

You struggled to get out of their grip as many held you down 

You suddenly blanked out and were woken up to the greeting of  a man that had yellow shining hair and blue eyes 

"what do you want?" you yelled 

The man stood up, you tried to escape but realized you were chained to the ground 

"you have amazing abilities, whats your name?" he asked

You looked at him with pure hate 

"why would I waste my breath on you!?!" you asked 

He closed his eyes and stared back into yours 

" I will make you a deal, join us and your friends won't get harmed," He said, catching your attention 

"you don't know where they are" you spat out 

"I do, now its your decision, we only come here once in a year...and it either death for you and your friends" he said looking at you, not breaking eye contact 

You looked at the ground, it was hopeless, you didn't know if he was lying or not but it was better not to take the risk

You looked up and nodded

"fine i will join your stupid scouts if you promise not to kill my friends "

How many years has it been? 2? 3? no it was definitely  4, you were proven to have such amazing abilities but you refused to command a squad, you remained a junior 

not a day passed you remembered the underground...but the sad reality was during your time in the daylight you forgot the vague faces you called friends 

But here you were in the underground again, you yelled at Erwin at his plans, he promised you but due to the lack of survey corps members it was necessary and if you could find your friend and convince them to join the scouts, it would be beneficial 

You were trapped in his schemes 

You went building to building until you saw a familiar figure 

He had raven hair and an undercut, but you couldn't make out who he was as your memories seemed to fade

You took the chance anyway, you called for the man and when he turned back, he saw your green cape and started running away 

you notice this and run after the man, it took countless minutes but you manage to corner him knowing the underground very well and when you were close to him, you tried to grab his wrist but he nearly slices your throat 

You joint back and had no choice but to knock him out, his skills were like yours and you had a sense of Deja vu but since your memory was bad you couldn't remember the signals 

As he was about to slice you, he saw your face and paused and that was your queue to knock him out

After tying him up, there was another bunch that you couldn't figure out, it was only then you realised who the three were 

"Levi? Isabel? Farlan?" you asked realising what you had done 

You were speechless and they noticed you too 

"what are you doing with the scouts [y/n]!?!" Farlan and Isabel both said 

You were shocked even more

"now now, your friend might of just saved your life" Erwin said 

They looked at him in disgust and Levi remained silent

Erwin went on to discuss the deal while you stood there embarrassed and after some time they looked at you and agreed to join the survey corps

After they arrived at the land they were amazed while you stared at the floor, ashamed 

"[y/n], look how beautiful it is!" Isabel said to you 

You were shocked at why she was talking to you, it felt like you betrayed her 

"[y/n], don't give me that sad look, you did it for us..even though those eyebrows broke his promise" Isabel gave her signature smile 

You could only smile back 

"isn't that right Farlan, Levi?" she chimed in the cart 

Farlan nodded, fully agreed with Isabel while waiting for Levi to respond, he only responded with a tch which was actually enough to make you think he forgave you. they all did

It was their first expedition, you were currently telling them to be safe, it was their first and you wanted them to survive

" like Levi said, be careful!" you lectured to the two 

"c'mon like I said to Levi, we got this, we're just as powerful as you!" Isabel and Farlan chimed

You sighed, thinking if you could trust them, after a long pause you nodded, " fine I trust you, please make it back in one piece" you pleaded

they laughed it off before disappearing in the fog and you frown as you lost sight of them

After riding for a long time, you start to panic as you couldn't see the laughing two 

You kept riding until you saw Levi on the ground crying, covered in blood and Erwin approaching him

You rode to them and heard Levi scream 

Your heart dropped as he mentioned Farlan and Isabel dead 

Tears whelm up in your eyes as Levi yelled and tried to kill Erwin with his blades but he and Mike stopped him 

"WHY NOT ME, W-Why Not Me" Levi said crying

You wipe your tears and walk to Levi and without thinking, pushed him into a hug 

Levi paused and dropped his blade, he thought you died but seeing you hug him, made him savour the moment even more as he hugged you back tightly with tears in his eyes 

Erwin nodded to Mike and they left to give you some space as well as giving you time to head back on your horses

"[y/n], promise me something," Levi said in your shoulder 

"anything" you said without hesitation 

"stay with me to the very end...please...i can't lose you" Levi said crying as he tightened his grip on you 

" of course, I promise, I will never leave your side."
