A perfect student, always achieving the high grade in class, a role model and president of the student council, to match with the looks of an angel, he was perfect

"Levi Ackerman, top of the class again, it was a close draw to [y/n], congrats" the teacher announced clapping

You look at the mark and take a deep breath

You stood up and went to the teacher and got your results, shortly after Levi got the test results behind you

You stare at his emotionless face and smile

" congrats Ackerman" you said as you showed your hand

Levi looked at your hand and rolled his eyes and shook it

You smiled, this moment might be the first time he shook your hand

You two were friends, but due to Levi's busy schedule, you rarely saw each other

After the class though, you adventured to Levi's office, like any friend and you so happened to make extra lunch for the day, you wanted to congratulate Levi with lunch as he didn't have time to eat unless told to

You reached the door and lightly knocked

"come in"

was all that rang through the door

You smiled and went in with your signature smile

"good evening Levi" you chimed

Levi pinched the bridge of his nose

"I already have shitty glasses [l/n]" he commented

You pouted at his words

You arrived at his desk and sat in the chair in front of him

"what are you doing here?" Levi asked as he looked at the neat pile of student work in front of him

" well I made extra food this morning and you rarely eat so here" you gave Levi a bento

Levi looked at it and clicked his tongue

"tch...i don't want it" Levi rolled his eyes

You pouted at the comment but you predicted he would say such words

"think of it as a reward" you said as you opened the bento for him

You gave it to him and took out your own and opened it

Levi looked at it, " tch brat don't get your crumbs over my desk"

You nodded and look at Levi who gave in and decided to eat your food which made you smile brightly

You had to admit, you did develop feelings for the man

"does it taste good?" you cooed

Levi looked at you and covered his face

" I take that as a yes" you said after a long pause, deep inside you were screaming in joy

As you were eating with the monotone person you noticed his sleeves

You realised throughout the year he always had a jacket on even on a very hot day

You observed his movements closer

You could of sworn you saw something red illuminated underneath

"hey Levi why do you always wear sleeves? especially when it's hot" you questioned

Levi glanced at you and adjusted his sleeves more

"nothing, I'm always cold" he simply answered

You huffed in response, " yeah right" you mumbled quietly as you continue to eat

"here let me help you, the two smartest people doing paperwork, we will finish in no time!" you flexed

Levi stared at you and slightly nodded as he wiped his mouth although there was no marks on his face

You got his pen and drew on the paper the right details

You were walking back home with your hands in your pockets until you felt something that took shape of a stick

You took it out and realised it was Levi's pen and you knowing the clean freak he was, made a plan to go to his house and drop it off

Levi only told you his address on a rare occasion and you only ever saw him enter his house when hanging out with him rarely but you ever stepped foot in the house so today would be the first

You changed your direction and walked to Levi's house which was not too far

You saw his house in the distance and after reaching the house you rang the doorbell

You heard massive amounts of shuffling and being curious you pressed your ear on the door but stopped after realising you shouldn't be nosy

After some time the door opened and it revealed Levi, only he had a black eye and his face looked red

"What Are You Doing Here!?!?" he practically yelled

You were shocked at the sudden outburst

"u-um the p-pen!" you said as you gave Levi the pen

Levi looked at it and massaged his head and covered his face in the process

You frowned and blocked the door from closing

"Levi..what happened to your face?" you asked, feeling worried

"Nothing...just leave" Levi said, eyes glossing

And with that the door was slam shut

You stood there in shock,

what just happened?

The next day, you couldn't help but think about the incident, it didn't help that Levi wasn't here, you were growing worried sick

After the day was over you made a plan to visit him

You made your way to his house and dropped by a food stall so you had an excuse for your presence

But as you brought your food you noticed a figure with a hood over his head, his voice sounded familiar to add on so you approached the figure

"Levi?" you blurted out

Your theory was correct when a raven-haired boy was in your sight, although the scars from before still appeared

"tch what do you want?" Levi said covering his face at the sight of you

"Levi what happened to your face?" you asked concerned

Levi rolled his eyes and was about to leave but you grabbed his wrist and he hissed in pain

"Levi please what happened," you asked, you wanted to help him, he didn't seem fine at all

Levi looked into your eyes and gave in

"I can't talk now-"

"but we can talk at my house, we have time c'mon" you said as you knew Levi's schedule

Levi looked at you helplessly and agreed

___

As you reached your house, you dragged Levi in and sat him down on the couch

You looked at his arms and grabbed it

"brat what are you-"

You pulled up the sleeves and was horrified by the sight in front of you, lines were scattered over his arms

"w-why?" you croaked, you were on the verge of tears

Levi looked away from you, he was on the verge of tears too

You looked at him as you heard sniffling and without a moment to waste, you pulled him in a tight hug exchanging no words

"your mother? abuses you?" you asked disgusted at such actions

" she has a personality disorder, I don't blame her, so I don't fight back" Levi sighed as he laid in your arms

"why don't you get her some help? i heard there is therapy to help with the disorder" you suggested

"does it sound too cruel? to put your sick mother in therapy" Levi said squeezing you tighter

You sighed as you played with his hair

"trust me Levi, it's not, she needs help and that's not a bad thing" you explained

Levi sat up and looked at you

"can i stay at your place? my uncle is at my house today" Levi explained

You blushed at the thought but nevertheless, agreed

"of course" you replied

Levi hugged you tightly

"thank you...you know [y/n], I always had a funny feeling in my heart when I see you...it's like I like you" Levi confessed

You smiled, " me too" you replied as you kissed his cheek to comfort him

Levi's cheek flushed and he weakly smiled and snuggled in your arms while you did the same

"let's go through this together"
