" newbies coming huh?"

I turn my head to the source of the beaming that angelic voice to find [y/n]

" yeah, they have so much spirits... I hate them so much" I say crossing my arms in annoyance

" well someone has to teach them" [y/n] said crossing her arms observing the new cadets

" you do it" I say annoyed and tired as always

" you're coming with me" [y/n] replied looking at me

" no if you touch me, I can-"

[y/n] grabs my hand without warning and drags me with her but for some reason, my heart was telling me to resist the temptation of pip squeaking the fuck out of her, what are these feelings? why was my heart fluttering at her light touch? 

After minutes we arrive outside and observe the new cadets

" are you going to hit me?" She asked beside me chuckling

I tch and shake my head slowly as in a no

" huh, thought so, so who do you think has the guts" [y/n] observed the cadets fighting horribly

" none of them, their techniques are absurd," I say rolling my eyes, I really hate them...

" well, I use to be like that..." [y/n] trails off remembering her first days

" all but you" I accidentally say, it rolled off my tongue automatically and I cover my mouth

[y/n] turns to me in a surprised look and smiles with a tint of pink on her cheeks

I stare in awe but shake my feelings away, her? what's so special about her for her to make me feel like this

You couldn't believe it! Did Levi say you were skilled?

You mentally slap yourself if it was a dream just in case and couldn't help but blush pink as it climbs to both of your cheeks

" oi, pay attention" Levi smacks your head lightly, snapping you out of your daydream

You shake your thoughts and stand properly and observe the cadets, still thinking about what Levi just said, it was impossible to get that out your mind

" these brats don't know how to fight, cmon let's teach them" Levi grabbed your wrist as you widen your eyes, you were shocked 

What is he doing? You thought

He drags you to the cadets were they fought and announces that you and him will demonstrate how to fight and you couldn't help but gulp in fear, he is humanity's strongest soldier

" Levi you are clearly stronger than me!" You signal to him in your own language

He chuckles and murmurs a

" I know"

You roll your eyes and do a mini stretch before the "demonstration" and made sure to breathe and not hyperventilate

After getting ready,  you get into your fighting stance and starting circling each other, just you and Levi while the cadets observe closely, waiting for the right moment to strike, you hit first

After hitting first, Levi blocked it and knocks you down but you kick his legs making him fall too by accident and he lands straight on you, you two making prolonged eye contact making you have butterflies

You both pant after the straightforward fight and look into his eyes and the nostalgia hits you

"You want to go?" You tease as you circle Levi in a fighting stance, you were obviously young and stupid at the time 

" I can still beat you" Levi said sternly 

You chuckled and threw a hit and missed by chance and nearly fell but Levi came in time as he saw you falling and made you land on him swiftly

You both looked into the eyes of each other in shock while getting your feelings for one another

You sigh and Levi immediately stands up while you sit in shock

" and that is not what you should do" Levi say trying to save himself from embarrassment in front of the so-called "newbies"

You stand up and walk away embarrassed after being excused and run to your office so you couldn't get more embarrassed

" shit that was so embarrassing" you mumble to yourself as you lock the door and fall down on your chair 

Levi happened to be your love ever since that day and all the memories came flooding back to you in that single moment of contract, it was humiliating 

You yell in your pillow to release that frustration with yourself and wonder how you could face him again

Maybe I'll just ignore him you thought quietly to yourself

" I heard what happened between you and the captain, caption ~" Hange smirked at you as you sat next to her, eating your dinner

You cover your face in embarrassment in case someone was watching you

" you know everyone knows right? Might as well confess your undying love for him, you met since you were kids, c'mon let my ship sail!" Hange explained

" thanks for telling me my back story," you said rolling your eyes

" I'm just saying to shoot your shot at shortie, I bet he likes you, the way he stares at you..." Hange chimes as she nudges you slightly

You cover your face, even more, burying them in your arms

" you know what I'm done eating, have fun Hange" you say standing up and making up your mind, leaving to prevent even more teasing

You needed some fresh air and a quiet place to release more stress

After going to your secret spot you sit on the roof and admire the view and another memory came back to your mind

" so this will be our hiding spot from the people?" You ask as you sit on the roof with Levi

Levi nods

" don't tell anyone" Levi said looking at you dead serious

" I won't..." you trail off, trying not to giggle, he was cute in your eyes when he is angry

You suddenly think of something

"Hey! How about a pinky promise!" You raise your pinky like a child

Levi looks at you weirdly, thinking whether he should comply, " ok brat" he responds, giving in 

You made a pinky promise that day and Levi calls you a child while you giggle at that statement, talking to him about your dreams

" Oi what are you doing there ?" You hear behind you

You turn around to see Levi behind you

" oh...hi, sorry for earlier, it was truly by accident" you try to explain to him

You hear him shift to you

" it's not your fault" Levi tells as he sits next to you

" do you remember?" You ask quietly, admiring the view, avoiding his gaze 

"What?" Levi answered softly, admiring your features secretly

" when we made that promise" you giggled slightly at the remark 

" yeah...I do" Levi trails off remembering you and him too

" you think I can be humanity's strongest soldier after you?" You ask after seconds of brief silence

Levi chuckles at your words

" of course..." he replies

" I believe in you" he finished, putting his hand on yours and you both look in each other eyes, the moonlight seeming so much brighter

You turn to the sky and cry as you look deep into the stars that glimmered in the sky, holding a handkerchief tightly

" I just wish you were here to see that " you say looking at the sky sitting all alone...
