Atsushi said, taking the knife that y/n was pointing at her heart. Slowly pushing it away from the girl. "Alright, less pain for me wohouu."

"Laybe we should look for a way to capture the gifted who controls the virus?" The albino haired man suggested.

"We've already tried that, it'll be impossible to uproot all of the enemy's meticulously prepared traps in time."

"Even you ranpo san?"

"I'm saying this because I'd know. That said, this is a flagrant violation of orders... so, decide for yourselves whether youre participating or not." Ranpo sudently said catching the attention of everyone

"Are you telling us to choose between fighting the port mafia and going against the boss's orders... or not?" Kunikida asked while adjusting his glasses.

"That's right, we don't gave time to think about it though. If the port mafia finds out the president is within lucy's impenetrable ability. They'll go after out family members, friends, and loved ones. They'll all be taken hostage. That is if we don't hand over the president."

Everyone, especially tanizaki started to think deeply about ranpo's words.

"I'll do it. At the end of the day we save people by hurting people." Tanizaki said.

"Same here, I have a bit of a bone to pick with mori sensei." Yosano was next to stand up.

"My knowledge of the port mafia can be useful to the detective agency.. " kyoka said next. "Then I should go aswell."

"I don't know whether this is right or wrong. But if everyone's walking into danger I'll go help them!" Kenji said like the angel he is.

"Kunikida, y/n. What about you two?" Ranpo asked seeing as y/n and kunikida were the only one still sitting.

"Sound like fun!!" Y/n said with a bright smile on her face.

"What about you, kunikida. Will you bend the rules and go after the port mafia, then?" Ranpo looked at him expecting an agreement.

"The president ordered us to protect the city's peace and stability. If we break the rule.. more innocent people will die!" He sudently yelled out. "Like that girl.."

"If another death happens infront of me again- I'll never"

"You're the strongest one in the agency, kunikida. That's why the enemy tried breaking you first." Ranpo said opening the door of that truck, light sudently surging out as everyone started getting off.

"Don't forget that." That's all ranpo said before leaving atsushi y/n and kunikida, the man still shaking vigorously.

"Are you scared?"

"H-huh?"

He was surprised upon hearing y/n's question.

"I can relate, I'm scared too. But our feelings seem different from each other. You're scared of losing another life right before your eyes. I'm scared of pushing the knife deeper than I could pull out. But in a way it's the same thing."

"Y/n.." atsushi looked up at her, not yet having made up his mind.

"But in the end, fear is just a feeling. I won't let it get the best of me." She turned her back at the two, catching up with ranpo and the others leaving kunikida behind ss atsushi got off.

Atsushi didn't want to fight the port mafia, ranpo suggested that he goes to katai's house and find if the hacker found out about the masterminds hideout. The man agreed and imediatly went to katai's house.

Right now, everyone at the agency who agreed to fight the port mafia were charging in at their headquarters.

With yosano tanizaki kenji and y/n hiding behind a huge rock kenji has pulled out to protect everyone from the bullets.

"Yosano, do you think it's possible for you re repair my eye right now? Ince im fighting a rather intimidating person I'd rather have all of my vision." Y/n sudently said out of the blue, having to raise her voice because of the strong bullets.

"I mean sure-" she cut herself out seeing that the bullet stopped. And lemon guy aswell as a blond with blue eyes came out.

"AHAHQHQYQ!! I pulled all three nughers to design this baby up! In the end I forgot to wear my underwear!" The lemon guy shouted.

"Was that a necessary detail?" Seth asked from besides him, the lemon guy only nodded at the executive.

"The enemy's retreated, we need to make a run for it." Tanizaki said as the four were still hiding behind that huge rock.

"Wait.. something isn't right."

"Now then, allow me to announce the theme or today's science experiment! Fire works up close!" He sudently started shooting mass among of lemon bombs, the four miraculously got out before they could be blasted thankfully.

"We're retreating."

Ok so now back at the agency, yosano was patching up some of kyoka's injuries and has healed y/n's left eye.

She sudently got a call from Lucy telling he that the president sudently vanished. Not knowing what to do with this sudden information.

"He's trying to protect us..." Everyone sudently looked at y/n who was chuckling on her desk. "Maaaan, life seriously can't get any harder now can it?"

"What do you mean, protect us?"

"I'd bet you my entire savings he's having a duel with mori san. It seems like the only logical way grown-ups think and like to solve problems. That way, the beef is between them. Not the whole agency and the port mafia."

Everyone has to admit that y/n  sometimes albeit acting like a goof can think logically once it's a deep serious situation like this one.

"Mr dazai! No phones allowed! How did you even sneek it in?"

A nurse sudently came shouting angrily at the man for disobeying her orders.

And dazai uh.. did his dazai thing and she ended up allowing him to use his phone.

"What a horrible time for my dear yosano to have healed my eye." Y/n muttered under her breath as she went inside dazai's hospital room once the nurse with hearts as eyes came rushing out of the room.

"Oh its my beloved y/n! Hold on a sec I'm with tanizaki on the phone." Dazai sais paying no mind to anything as he went on with his conversation with tanizaki, y/n sat on a chair besides dazai's bed playing games to pass time as it was currently golden hours.

Sudently, a cat holding out a sardine came through the window. Causing the two'sbeyes to widen.

"Isn't that the cat that'd always hang out in bar lupin? Yknow, the one you'd call 'sensei'."

"I guess it is. The sardine he's holding is very much like the ones president fukuzawa feeds stray kittens..." dazai said the last part to no one in particular, y/n wouldn't understand the lore behind all of this. Blame the author for not giving her 200 iQ.

Dazai seemed to find something in the cat.. an electronic chip within the sardine.

"Anyways, you've got a plan for fyodor?" Y/n turned hernhead around to meet dazai's eyes that were still scanning the chip on y/n's laptop.

"I'll have akutagawa and atsushi team up."

"They'd never agree bro. I mean, akutagawa yes, he's a simp for you. Literally."

"You'll have to persuade atsushi." Dazai said making eye contact with y/n y/n his silly smile.

"Wait im comming with you?"

"You'll keep me company while the two will do the hard job!"

"The fuck- no! ... wait... on a second thought I'm in love with the concept of abusing authority..."

"True! Count me in." Y/n looked at dazai with a smile he wished he'd never see.
