Sike! It was all an illusion created by tanizaki!

"An ability to produce illusions?" The ginger asked now on his guard seeing as tanizaki was the only one standing.

"Kenji broke down the wall and we got president to evacuate. The president and the agency members already left a long time ago."

"You sacrificed your life to decieve the ambush and give the others time to escape." Akutagawa remarked while frowning with his unexistent eyebrows.

"I haven't given up my life." Tanizaki slowly raised his arms in the air. "I have a message from ranpo san."

Ok so the real plan was for tanizaki to buy time for the ada to evacuate. While ranpo deduced the hideout of the criminal with the cannibalism ability. Either they force him out to cancel it or have dazai touch him. Seeing that dazai isn't quite here, they'll have to force him out to give up his ability.

"This is the place..?"

The place atsushi was talking about was a city completly submerged in trash. How do people live here? They trust the process too much.

Anyways!

"Yeah. This is the hideout of the virus weilding gifted, Pushkin." Kunikida answered, as the people standing infeont of an old house were the dirty blonde the albino haired man and y/n herself.

"He escaped from European gifted prison about two weeks ago. Guided by the rats in the house of dead, he's hiding in his hometown. That's ranpo san's conclusion." Kunikida explained, quickly showing the two a photo before he took out his gun.

"We don't have time. If we can't stop the cannibalism, they're going to kill tanizaki, who stayed behind to persuade the port mafia."

Atsushi nodded and so did y/n, sighing while taking out her handy weapon that was with her from day one.

"Lets go!"

The three of them started running down what seems like dark stairs. Kunikida reminding them that failure wasn't an option before they went in.

With kunikida kicking out a door letting the three of them pass they were met with a 1m² room which seemed like a kitchen. A pan that still had fresh hot food was on the ground meaning that there was someone here right this second.

"Oh fuck, he must've seen us."

"Who?"

"A rat."

"Kunikida y/n, over there." Atsushi pointed toward a trap that led underground. I mean- more underground than they already were.

With kunikida jumping, and atsushi using the ladder like a normal human. Y/n tried to jump just like kunikida, but instead of looking cool like him she ended up falling on her ass.

"Hey its him!"

Atsushi activated his ability wanting to catch up with the run away criminal.

"Wait don't go!" Y/n tried to stop him but it was too late. He got a bullet straight at his face but he's alright trust. He caught the bullet with his mouth like the furry he is.

Anyways, bunch of kids were infront of the three holding out guns.

Well- I did said once that killing kids counts as pedophilia... but this is an exception!

Atsushi was too stunned to move, he got dragged by kunikida avoiding the shooting these kids were doing.

"Dann I bet those kids are American." Y/n muttered under her breath.

"Are those kids holding machine guns..? If we attack back.."

"I'll go in." Y/n stood up from her place.

"Wait no, you'll kill them!"

"So are we supposed tk just sit here and let literal kids kill us!?"

A faint moment of silence passed, not really since the shooting was pretty powerful.

"Doppo poet. Tear gas bomb." Kunikida activated his ability out of the sudent. Causing y/n to look at him.

He sent the bomb towards them, the kids got afraid thinking it was a real bb but it was just a gas one. If you breath it you'll likely sleep.

"Hold your breaths." Kunikida warned before the three started running passing by the kids.

"A-ATSUSHI!" y/n just couldn't help but scream as she saw how one kid took out their gun and was firing at atsushi. Fortunately, or rather unfortunately. Kunikida shot their arm. Not deadly, just painful.

With his hands still shaking, kunikida couldn't help but listen in shock at the kids screams. Both him and atsushi actully.

"Snap out of it!" Y/n yelled while coughing slightly the gas already doing its job to perfection. That seemed to get them out of their daze as they started running away again.

"Kunikida san, what about the child's injury!?" Atsushi said, as they were now out of the gas's aoe.

"They'll be fine, a bullet on the shoulder won't do much to them." Y/n answered instead of kunikida who's the one that question was meant for.

Anyways, new obstacle. A bombing kid. Asahiri loves those.

"Kunikida... there's something wrong with this place."

"No shit."

The three- well.. atsushi and kunikida were just staring in shock at the kid who had a bomb oh her neck. She could be no older than 9 or 10.

"No don't!" Seeing as the girl was about to pull the trigger of these bombs around her neck kunikida yelled out

"I'm helping my brother."

"... atsushi, go after him from another route. Leave this to us." Kunikida calmly said as he took a step back from the kid.

"Don't fail to catch him, go!"

Atsushi nodded as he went from where he got on the opposite directing leaving y/n, kunikida, and the child.

"Her eyes are empty. Maybe it's a good thing that she'll die."

"Y/n..."

"Sorry."

Kunikida slowly started walking towards the kid, kneeling down to her height.

"Listen carefully, your brother won't die. I won't let him be killed, I promise." He spoke with such a gentle voice, y/n never heard him speak with that tone with anyone on the agency. Mostly because he was 99% of the time yelling.

"Don't worry, there's nothing to be afraid of. Oh i know, I'm good at magic tricks." Kunikida said with a slight smile on his face, wanting to show the girl a display of his ability.

"Magic tricks?" Y/n asked slowly walking up to kunikida seeing as he was bringing out his note book.

"In order to protect your brother. This man is dangerous. Kill him. As soon as he reveals his notebook."

The girl's eyes seemed to widen.

"My brother. I'm going to save my brother." She pulled the trigger.

"NO STOP!" kunikida reached out of the girl, but he was  held back by y/n.

"ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE!? STOP YOUR NONE SENSE KUNIKIDA!" Y/n grabbed onto the taller man's waist with all she could in order to prevent him from reaching out to the girl who was about to go Boum Boum.

"LET GO Y/N!"

"NO YOU GET A FUCKING GRIP!"

"NO!" The girl went boom. Asagiri's favorite hobby. Damn can't he like fishing or something idk? Old people things???

The explosion blocked out the way out for y/n and kunikida. The girl probably dead.

Let's not forget the impact, it caused both of them to fly away because of the explosion.

Kunikida stood up, looking at the debris in disbelief While shaking.

"Why.. why did you hold me back." Kunikida asked, not turning to look at y/n that was holding out on her left eye, something has gotten in it because of the explosion, she flinched once feeling blood run down her hand.

"... a death is better than two deaths."

"What kind of messed up mindset is that is that? SHE WAS JUST A KID!?"

"..." y/n failed to find the correct words to help out kunikida, or even comfort him, she wanted to tell him to suck it up. A death is a death and crying about it is literally useless but she'd come out as harsh

"They are tons of people like her actully... I held you back because I knew if you lived another day you'd have another opportunity to save kids like her."

Anyways time skip, the one atsishi was going for wasn't the one with the cannibalism ability. Dang yall got fooled.

Now they were on a mission to go get tanizaki who got sent to kill the port mafia boss. kyoka got him! Yay. But he failed at assassinating him. Now all the ada members were here.

"I'm sorry ranpo san.." tanizaki apologized as yosano was treating a womd he got.

"Its okay you did your best. How does the port mafia look?"

"It looks like they transferred the boss to an underground shelter."

"Its a failed cause, we can't go in there." Y/n said as she was inside that truck that had everyone in it. Can you guess what she was doing? Playing games with one eye!

It seemed like a rock or something sharp had hit her in her eye making her lose vision on it, fortunately yosano can repair it but not right now. She didn't feel like suffering through yosano's treatment. So she just kept it bandaged for now. Dazai 2.0.

"We'll have to fight our way through, head on." Ranpo said with his closed eyes. "Y/n, you surely have a picture of the port mafia boss." The young looking detective looked directly at y/n who sent him a smile.

"Yeah I do. Want me to kill him right now?"

"Yes."

"Sure!" Logging out of genshin, y/n clicked on gallery a picture of mori with Elise saved alone on a specific album.

normally i wouldn't kill anyone with my ability anymore, but seeing as the president's life is on the line...

With her knife that was directly pointed at her hearth. She took a deep breath. Killing yourself isn't easy you know? Just ask dazai about it. And it has been long since she felt any sort of pain at her heart.

Everyone at the agency looked at y/n with wide eyes, they knew she wouldn't die but the thought of her not hesitating at pointing a knife right at her heart was shocking to them, and with a smile too? yosano just had to put her hand infront of kenji's eyes to prevent him from seeing.

"Wait y/n! I just got a message from the president! He's awake and he doesn't want us to fight the port mafia!!"
