Still Darryl's Pov:
Zak reached his hand out for me to grab it again. I did.
"Do you know where any other exits are?" I asked.
"I do not, but let's look?"
It will probably be locked if we found a door though.
But I agreed anyway.
We started walking down a different hallway, side by side. I was still shaking.
"Hey, are you scared?" Zak asked.
"Yeah actually," I admitted.
"Why? I mean yeah, these hallways are scary, but don't worry, nothings gonna hurt you," he tried to make me feel better.
I thought about telling him what I saw earlier, the girl getting dragged, and Karl showing up. But I decided against it. I know Zak a bit, and I know that he's just as a scaredy cat as me. So that would be bad if we were both terrified. So I just continued walking.
We reached the end of the hallway, and there was no exit. Zak turned his head around the corner, and then started walking down the hallway.
The whole time we just walked in silence. I was just hoping that the guy from before had left. And I was still secretly thinking it might be Zak. But he doesn't seen like the type to do that. I hope.
And where did Karl go?
I wonder.
"Still no exit?!" Zak said pretty loudly.
"Shhh!" I shushed him. Being loud was dangerous.
"Sorry," he whispered.
We looked at each other, I tightened the grip of our hands, it gave me comfort. I saw him make a face, but I couldn't really see it, he then turned his head forward, and started walking again.
We walked side by side again. It made me feel safer. I don't want to lead, and I don't want to be the victim in the back. I've seen a couple horror movies, so I should know! Even though I don't actually like horror movies, they are just fun to watch sometimes.
We kept walking and at the end of the hallway we ended up... Near the washrooms. And they were the same ones from before.
I thought about the girl being dragged from earlier. The more that I think about it, the more familiar she looks. And I'm pretty sure she was a teenager as well.
Gosh I'm such a wimp, I should have saved her.
I was mad at myself. For not saving her.
"Oh.. I'm sorry for accidentally bringing you here." Zak said, finally breaking me out of my thoughts.
"It's okay, just be careful, okay?" I asked Zak. I really do care about him.
"Okay, let's go see if the main door is locked," he said, pulling me to the door.
We were out in the open now, and it was dark outside already, if I were to guess, it was 5pm, and it's winter, so it gets dark quickly.
I looked around, feeling myself get scared. The washroom was right there. Only about 15 feet away from us.
I looked over at Zak, and he was no longer facing the door. He was facing the hallway.
"Uhm, Darryl?" He asked me.
"Yes?"
"W-whats that?"
This question freaked me out. I immediately turned to where he was looking, but I saw nothing.
"What's what?" I asked, turning back to him.
"Is that not a blood trail?" He asked, using his other hand to point.
I looked over and muffined (Bads version of cursed) my eyesight for being so bad.
I turned back to Zak, he seemed scared now too. Or was he faking? No, I'm just way to paranoid. Stop thinking badly of Zak.
"I'm sorry, I don't see it, I don't have my glasses with me." I told him.
"O-oh yeah," he said, "I noticed that, sorry for forgetting."
Why was he apologizing? It's nothing serious.
"It's okay really, let's just leave, like right now, I'm uncomfortable in here," I urged him.
I let go of his hand and tried to open the door, it wasn't locked this time.
"Come on!" I said in a whisper.
He was still facing the ground, so I grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the school. He finally turned around to face me, and we just ran.
We eventually got pretty far from the school, so we took a break, we were both out of breath.
"Huff, huff, gasp" Zak caught his breath.
"What happened?" Zak asked.
"So, I'll explain, let's just sit down."
We sat down in the grass we were standing on.
"What happened?!" Zak repeated, sounding more concerned now.
Maybe he wasn't the guy that dragged that girl away, I'm just silly, haha.
"After I woke up in the classroom, I stepped in to the hallway, I was about to turn the corner when I heard a very high pitched scream. I poked my head around to see a guy dragging a girl, from the gym, in to the washroom. She was pleading for him not to do whatever it was he was doing. But my guess is, he killed her. Since that blood you saw," I tried my hardest to explain.
"What did he look like?" Zak asked me.
"I-.. I'm sorry, I don't know," I looked away, feeling guilty for not doing anything about it.
Zak looked like he smiled when I said that.
"Oh, okay, that's crazy. Is that why you were scared?"
"Yes, it is, and it's also why I didn't want to go over there. But we got away, right?" I forced a laugh.
I thought about telling him the Karl situation, but I figured it wasn't necessary for him to know. So I didn't tell him.
"That school is messed up," Zak stated.
"After that, yeah, I would say it is too," I agreed.
"Should we tell someone?" He asked.
"I mean we should, but not right now, I want to try and figure everything out first."
"Okay. I understand. I'm just glad that you're okay," he looked at me.
"I'm glad you're okay too, I don't know what I would do if something had happened to you," I smiled.
"Awww, you care about meee!" He said happily.
Seriously?
"Now's not the time for that," I scolded.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean-" he got cut off by him starting to cry.
"No, no! I'm so sorry Skeppy! I didn't mean it!" I felt bad.
But he started to laugh.
"I was only kidding," he said, giggling.
"That wasn't funny," I said, folding my arms.
"Sorry, sorry. By the way, I like it when you call me Skeppy, thank you."
"Why?" I asked.
"Cause you came up with that name for me!" He exclaimed, with a big smile.
Stop. Being. Cute.
Okay, so yeah, this part is done. Do you guys think Skeppy is the murderer? You'll have to stick around to find out! Have a good day/night. Love you! By the way I'm gonna update the story title/picture. So if it looks like a completely different story, that's why!
