Darryl Pov:
Wednesday.
It's Wednesday now!
I woke up smiling as it was a nice bright day. Well, that was before the memories of yesterday came back to mind.
"Uggh," I groaned out while reaching over to my nightstand to grab my glasses.
I got up, and put on my clothes.
I put on some white sweat pants, with a light red sweater with diamond shapes as design tucked into the sweatpants. And the same, black sneakers.
Slipping on my backpack, I walked out the front door and headed to the bus stop.
The wind was cold, making me be glad that I decided to wear warmer clothes. Guess that sun in the sky wasn't doing it's job.
.
.
.
At school, I asked a teacher permission to go to the gym room, which they granted.
I wanted to go to my gym locker to put my gym clothes in there. I had taken them home the day prior to clean them.
The gym was empty, with only the gym teacher in their office that they have on the side of the gym.
Being in the gym empty scares me. Every noise I make echoes meaning that even if you were across the whole gym, you could still hear my footsteps.
And so, I walked into the locker room after letting the gym teacher know I was there, and found my locker.
The second that I opened it, a paper came flying out and onto the floor.
I picked it up to read it.
Just give up!
You won't find me.
Give.
Up.
Now I felt uncomfortable.
My hand started shaking after reading the note, and I stood staring at it.
"Did you find the paper?"
.
.
.
I swung my head around to see who was behind me.
"Zak? What are you-"
"So? Did you!?" Zak cut me off.
Wait is Zak the...
"No, that's not it," Zak said, reaching past me.
He put his hand into my locker and pulled out another piece of paper. "Here," he said, handing it to me.
"...Zak, this is just a drawing of a diamond," I groaned.
"Well, yeahh! Do you like it?! I'm pretty proud of it!"
I sighed and turned back to my locker to stuff my clothes inside, and shoved the note in my pocket before Zak could read it.
"..Soo? Do you like me drawing?"
I turned back around after shutting my locker to a puppy eyed Zak.
"Yes, I love it." I half whispered half sighed.
Just then the bell for advisory rang.
"Oh shoot- I gotta go! I'm not supposed to be here, if the teacher sees me- I gotta go- bye!" Zak gripped his backpack strap and ran out of the locker room just before the teacher came out of their office.
Typical Zak.
I waved goodbye to the PE teacher and walked out of the PE room.
I was in a good mood for a few moments there, that is, until I remembered the notes that I've been getting.
The one from yesterday was in my backpack, and the one from just now was in my sweat pants pocket.
But who was writing them?
.
.
.
The noise of kids chattering and yelling filled my ears.
The lunch room was awfully loud sounding today...
"Hey, you okay man? You look zoned out over there."
I shot back into reality and saw Alex's hand waving Infront of my face.
That's right.
Alex has been acting as though nothing happened.
I guess he really doesn't want anyone to find out.
"Yeah, sorry Alex."
"No need to apologize! I just want to make sure that you're doing okay."
I looked up at him and saw a smile plastered on his face.
Then I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Huh?-"
I looked up to see Minx standing above me.
"Can we talk?" She asked.
I agreed. Because I needed to ask a few questions anyways.
She pulled me aside and out of the lunchroom where there were less students. And it's also where we talked before.
She stopped walking the second we got somewhere secluded enough.
"Have you been getting notes?" She asked me, in a serious tone.
"Yes actually, I have. Have you?"
Minx nodded and pulled out a note from her back denim jeans pocket and showed it to me.
I looked at it.
It had the same handwriting as the ones I got.
The note said:
Heyyyy Minx!
So sorry about what
"Oh my goodness.." I mumbled as I handed the note back to Minx.
"This person is sick," Minx said in an angry tone.
I nodded and thought for a moment.
"Did Niki.. have any enemy's?" I asked.
Minx looked at me and then gave a thinking look.
"Not that would do something like this," she pointed to the note in her hand, "I don't think at least."
"But what are their names?" If I could just find out a name for someone I could add to the suspect list. Just maybe it could lead me somewhere.
"There was only one, but, their name?.. I can't remember," Minx said.
"What did they look like?" I asked another question.
"Brown hair hazel eyes... that's a lot of kids in this school," Minx said annoyed.
"Well that doesn't help," I mumbled. But I'm pretty sure Minx could hear me, since she gave me a look that basically said 'knew it.'
"We'll figure this out, don't worry," I told her.
"I sure hope so," Minx muttered.
After that I went back to the table where why friends sat at.
"What was that about?" Wilbur asked me.
I told them it was nothing, but I think that Fundy and Zak knew what it must've been about.
And maybe even Alex.
"Damn, way to be so secretive," Tommy said, breaking the silence.
"Tommy, it's not your business though..." Ranboo whispered to Tommy.
"It's actually always my business. Back off boss man," Tommy said jokingly.
Alex laughed, making us all laugh.
We all laughed together.
I just wish it were this simple.
Where we could be normal high schoolers.
Laugh with each other.
And not have to worry as much as we do.
LlLlOorEe. Have a good
day/night!
