"Y/N GET OUT OF BED AND GET TO SCHOOL!" Mother screamed from downstairs

"BUT-" I started to yell back

"NO BUTS! GO BEFORE I MAKE YOU!" I knew if she came up here, my open casket would be scheduled for tomorrow

I groaned and threw my covers off.

"Why didn't she wake me up earlier.. I'm going to be late."

I rushed to change into my uniform, really the first day of school, and I'm gonna be late. They're going to think I'm a delinquent. I struggled to put on my shoes and tidied my hair one last time before rushing out the door.

"Bye, Mom!" I yelled

Kimetsu Academy wasn't too far off from my house, last year I was late quite a bit so I wanted to make a good impression this year. I'm a second-year and a shogi club member, I'm more athletic than I realize but doing one sport at a time is alright.

"YO Y/N! WAKE UP LATE AGAIN?" I heard one of my good friends Sabito call out

"YEAH! HOPEFULLY WE CAN MAKE IT ON TIME!" I laughed while we were both at a sprinting pace

Sabito is a student and a member of the kendo club, Makomo is my best friend she's always on time unlike Sabito and I. Nezuko Kamado along with her brother Tanjiro Kamado who is a senior are friends of mine I don't see Tanjiro much but Nezuko I see in the halls, we often eat lunch together.

"Y/N WATCH OUT!" Sabito called out

"HUH- OOMPF!" I crashed into something which made me fall on my ass

I rubbed my nose as the impact made my eyes water, "Ah! Sorry about that, I'm late for school and in a rush!"

"It's alright; I'm late too." That voice, I've heard it before.

I looked up, isn't this boy also a shogi member? I think I've seen him around. He seemed so familiar, but I couldn't put my finger on it. His long black hair faded into teal tips, and he wore the male school uniform. His hand was outstretched for me to grab.

"Oh, thanks!" I smiled

As I grabbed his hand a memory flickered in my mind, it was the face of this boy, I could tell. The eyes were the same and his hair. He wore an odd uniform and there was something on the back in kanji, "Destroy".

"Have I met you before?" He suddenly spoke

"It feels like it, what's your name?" Sabito, the boy, and I all were running to school now

"Muichiro, Muichiro Tokito." Why was that name so familiar to me?

"Hm, I don't think we've met. You're a shogi club member, right?" I questioned

"Yeah, with my brother too. What about you? What's your name?" His gaze pierced into mine an unknown feeling squeezed my heart, why did I get lost in his eyes so easily?

"Y/n.. Y/n L/n." I spoke as if I was in a daze, and I didn't even realize my running had slowed.

Sabito sped ahead of us, the bell was about to ring. To be honest, I didn't care if it did anymore, I wanted to figure out this Muichiro boy. I've seen him somewhere, I just know it. His eyes when they met mine said it all, it spoke the words he couldn't. He also stopped in front of me, we stared at each other until he broke the silence.

"I know you, but I don't know you.." He spoke above a whisper

"Odd, hey how about this Tokito Muichiro? Let's be friends!" I smiled

"Hmm, alright." The corners of his lips tugged up, and once again my heart squeezed

"We.. should go before the bell rings.." A pink hue danced on my cheeks from his small smile

I rushed into homeroom, which was civics. Himejima Gyomei, I like him he's respectable, but he's large. I have to crack my neck to look up at him. Next was history. Rengoku Kyojuro, he and I are close. After school ends, I usually stay in his classroom, and he helps me with homework, a good teacher. I was almost late to chemistry, Iguro Obanai. He's, maybe a little odd. It seems he has an allergy to women yet every time I go to Aoi's restaurant he's always asking for Mitsuri Kanroji. Kanroji is like a sister to me. She's wonderful.

"Y/n, can I sit here?" That voice snapped me out of my thoughts

"Muichiro! Of course!" I smiled and moved my bag from the empty chair to the ground

"Did you get in trouble?" He questioned

"Oh, no I made it in a second before the bell rang. Himejima is a nice man anyway, I'm glad to have him for homeroom." I sighed

Muichiro let out a breathy laugh, "Yeah, what do you have after this?"

"Ah, Biology. Kocho is really nice, I've never had a bad encounter with her." a smile spread across my face

The bell rang for the next class. Muichiro offered to walk with me to Biology since Math was right next to it, which was his next subject. After biology It was lunch. The three staff members were kinda scary, Suma, Hinatsuru, and Makio. Really only Makio is scary, Suma I have spoken to a lot, and Hinatsuru is really nice.

"Y/NNNN!!" I heard Nezuko and Makomo call out

"MAKOMO! NEZUKO!" I ran up to them, waving. Sabito was out of breath behind them

"MAKOMO TRIPPED ME IN THE HALLS!" Sabito whined

"SHUT UP!" Makomo slapped him

Tanjiro had come around with his friends, Zenitsu and Inosuke. This attracted a lot of attention to our group as a third year, Gyotaro came up to butt heads with us. Tanjiro was nice but often got caught up in a lot of situations.

"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT THE EARRINGS?!?!" Giyuu Tomioka, P.E teacher.

"Hi, Tomioka!" I waved. Tomioka and I were somewhat close. I talked to him often even if he didn't respond, he seemed to tolerate me cause of how fast I was in P.E.

After the chaos at lunch finished up, I had Art, Tengen Uzui. Tengen is flashy, very flashy. He once threw a dynamite in the art room claiming it was art, but honestly, he's kind of crazy. I had math after that, Sanemi Shinazugawa. He's a hot head, I excel in his class which he tolerated me for. I aced most tests. To be fair, my grades were up there.

"Rengoku!" I called out

"Y/n! Take that empty desk. I'll just be cleaning up!" Rengoku beamed a smile

"Alright, I won't be here for long. Someone offered to walk me home!" I removed the straps of my bag and grabbed my homework

"Oh? Is it a boy? Who??" Rengoku sat down on the desk next to mine

"Muichiro Tokito, I met him this morning. We are becoming good friends, he's easy to talk to. But I can't shake the feeling I've met him somewhere." I spoke to him while writing

"Ah, young Tokito, yes, he's a good student. You know, they say when you get that feeling, it could be that you've met them in a past life." Rengoku's words caught my attention

"Maybe so, I want to get to know him more; it's like a magnet drawing me towards him." The thoughts frustrated me, I hated not knowing things.

"Well, you should talk to him more. Good luck!" Rengoku smiled once more and continued cleaning

I spent half an hour doing the rest of my work, and the sun was setting now. I watched as all the students walked out the gates. Makomo was chasing Sabito with a bug while Nezuko was on the floor laughing. Tomioka was yelling at Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. Kocho and Shinazugawa were obviously flirting. Tengen had come into the history room to talk with Rengoku. I was starving, and once I saw that same black hair with teal tips waiting by the gate, I rushed out.

"Muichiro!" I called out

"Y/n!" He waved

"Who's that?" Another boy was right beside him, he looked like his twin

"Yuichiro, this is Y/n. I met her on the way to school. Y/n this is Yuichiro my brother!" Muichiro introduced us

"Nice to meet you! Muichiro I wanted to ask.. I'm going to Aoi's restaurant to have dinner with Kanroji and well do you want to come?" A sheepish smile spread across my face

"Oh, yeah of course!" His eyes lit up

"FOOD?!?!" Sabito screamed behind me

"YOU ARENT GONNA TAKE US Y/N?!" Makomo whined

"I'm hungry too!" Nezuko shook me

"Alright, you guys can come too!" I smiled

"We'll come along!" Tanjiro put a hand on Nezuko's head, Inosuke and Zenitsu right behind him

"Is the girl with braids gonna be there?" Iguro suddenly asked

"Mitsuri? Yes, she will be!" This caused Iguro to come along with us

It was great, the Kocho sisters were there as well, and Kanao and Tanjiro were somewhat talking. They were both just standing there while their faces looked like tomatoes. Muichiro sat next to me as we talked about the teachers and the shogi club. Nezuko, Sabito, and Makomo were bickering. They just reminded me of Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu who were also squalling. Yuichiro came along, but he wasn't talking much, he seemed more annoyed.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" Muichiro questioned.

Everyone was going home, all of them walking in different directions. The cherry blossom petals were getting swept up as they fell from the sakura trees.

"That's alright, It's already late I don't want you in trouble. Let's walk to school together tomorrow?" I asked

Yuchiro was tapping his foot waiting for Muichiro to finish talking to me. He saw how his brother's eyes lit up talking to me, the twins were popular among the girls but always ignored them, why was this girl different?

"Yeah, if we aren't late!" Muichiro laughed

"Alright! It's a promise!" I held up my pinkie finger

"Really? Are you five?" He teased

"Just do it!" I whined

"Promise!" He smiled while connecting his pinkie with mine

So I did find you again. I'm glad.
