You can definitely train and just you know get strong enough to kill the crown prince and everyone else who ever killed Penelope in one of her lives. So she isn't in danger anymore.

Yeah no then you'd be a tyrant and just be killed. Plus it would take years to train that much!!..well. In many of your lives you did resort to training sometimes with a sword, or a crossbow. So you're pretty strong if you say so yourself. Just you're not sure if that's strong enough to protect her.

..is it Yvonne? In all of Penelope's lives there's some where she just died to talking back or doing something bad like neglecting the servants here. But most of them revolve around when Yvonne comes back.

It couldn't be though right..you and Yvonne always played together when you were younger and she was always so kind and sweet she would never!!

(Oh just saying the whole next part is kinda spoilers so please have finished the death is the only ending for the villainess manhwa or have read the novel or just got spoiled before reading.)

But it can't be right? You remember. Once Yvonne got poisoned and it was figured out it was by Penelope..

What if she poisoned herself? no why would she do that..

Ugh this is so confusing you have no idea what's going on. Wait. Who was the person who brought Yvonne back anyways?

Oh. It was that white haired guy. The marquees right? Yes. You interacted with him sometimes. Okay whatever. The main suspect here is Yvonne. Most of the time she gets injured in some way or in an almost death situation so Penelope gets killed. Even if it hurts you so bad to say it.

Yvonne is a danger. She comes back on the day of Penelope's coming of age ceremony so..you just have to make sure to be prepared by then.

The thing was that even if you got most of your memories back everything that happens after Penelope's death is a blur.

You were looking around your bookshelf trying to see if there's any book at all about reincarnation but currently there's only those in some type of cheesy novels.
(Do novels exist in that timeline? I don't know and this is a fan fiction so I don't care either‼️)

In the end you couldn't find one and just read a book about knights and sword training instead it did have a lot of tips, but halfway through the book you realized you read this in one of your lives or even multiple. It's good to refresh your memory on it anyways though so you did read it all again either way.

After reading it you just sat at the table blankly, sues you didn't go mentally insane after getting all your memories back but remembering how you killed yourself at least a thousand times isn't gonna have you continue to be giddy.

But that's not what you're thinking about right now. Your focus right now is on how you can save Penelope. Basically there's a list of a couple males who always seem to be the one to kill her.

1. Derrick and Reynold. Like sure you already hated how they treated Penelope but seriously?? They killed her plenty of times too! Cause of Yvonne and when she did something like talking back or making a rude remark..

2. Calisto regulus. That son of a bitch either gets her executed for something that happened to Yvonne that Penelope is assumed to have done or just kills her for no reason at all!! Stupid crown prince..gotta make sure to stay away from him.

3. The marquees you don't bother to remember the name of. Vinter or something. He brings back Yvonne which leads to all the wacky shit that happens to Penelope.

4. Some random slave..what was his name again? You remember him from when he's brought to the eckart duchy. Uhm..ickles? Or was it eclis? no..it was eckles right?

Yeah him. He kills Penelope a bunch of times. Stupid dumbass, slave has the nerve.

5. Yvonne herself. Yes she isn't a male but she's the reason behind all this..hell maybe it isn't even Yvonne!! She was just brought in and answered all the questions Yvonne would know sure..but still. The Yvonne I know would never do any of this.

Those people are the ones I have to keep away from Penelope the most. They're dangerous to her.

This time I'll save you Penelope.

Maybe the system heard you, or not. It just had white bold text in it with the words
'It appears you have your memories back [name] eckart. Would you like to do a quest for more intel?'

A quest? The fuck is this a video game? And intel on what? Probably the whole how to save Penelope thing right?
Anything would help so you heavily sigh before nodding

"Yeah sure. What's the quest?"

It was just a blank blue screen before it showed texts with the words

'Go out to the village with Derrick and Reynold. For +5 intel.'

Really. Outta all the quests you could've gotten it just had to revolve those idiots. But if you're being honest it has been awhile ever since you all hung out. After Yvonne went missing it was like you all were strangers in the same house.

So maybe it wouldn't be bad to hang out with them..but you're not forgiving them for killing Penelope multiple times. Oh speaking of Penelope

You ask curiously, maybe this will help them all get along so they don't kill her again! Not that you would ever allow it.

Jeez even though it was just a literal blue system saying it you felt like you could feel the threat behind its words. And what consequences? Whatever. As much as you would love to hang out with Penelope, you need information to save her. But then you suddenly have a thought

"Wait. How am I meant to even get them to hang out with me?"

Sure you could just ask but they're both busy with different things would they even accept? Maybe they're both not busy.
Instead of helping you or answering your confused question it just says

'Accept the quest?"

With yes and no on the bottom. Well obviously you say accept since that's what you were planning to do anyways.

But now. You have to figure out how the fuck you make this work and how to get them to go out to the village with you..

Maybe you should go ask your father if they're busy first.

I was gonna post this earlier but I was rereading a stepmothers marchen and got distracted it was literally amazing though.

I really do gotta reread ditoeftv though I completely forgot how the system thing even worked and like the entire plot. The main plot is starting soon I just wanna do at least a few chapters with Penelope before she was yk
