TW: mentions suicide

AFTER JAX AND NORENS time at the diner, Noren was hesitant but agreed to Jax's offer.

Yes it was obviously a huge risk considering his past and trusting people way too naively, but he thought this one out.

New Orleans was pretty far, far from his grandmother that is. If Jax were to ever do anything to make him doubt his trust, he would simply give him a far more painful aneurism then his dead girlfriend did.

It was pretty dark but Noren had enough of mistrusts in the adults these days.

After many long hours on the road, music was surfacing throughout the car as Noren swung his feet back and forth. He sighed as he listened to the soft melody of Mazzy Star while humming the tunes.

He was quite ecstatic to say the least, he heard about the parties and festivals that paraded the streets of New Orleans and couldn't wait to witness the art for himself.

Jax looked through his rear-view mirror catching a glimpse of the smile painted on the boys face.

"Hey kid, look."

He pointed his hand toward the sign placed directly on Noren's side, before the two of them whispered aloud to themselves at the same time.

"Welcome to New Orleans."

A few days ago...

After waking up and successfully curing her brothers, to say Freya was burnt out was an understatement.

She felt weak, her body trembled under the harsh amount of power she exerted but it was all worth it.

She just had one more sibling that needed saving.

Klaus.

Keelin, the werewolf had pleaded for her release that Hayley had promised after she got what she needed.

But Freya wasn't budging.

After what felt like the longest discussion ever about her moral protection for her family, Freya finally found time for herself as crazy as it sounds.

She didn't waste any time hopping into a well deserved and needed shower.

Turning the tap on, the running water sunk into her skin calming her nerves just perfectly. The witches head and body cramped, so not long after standing, she took a sat down just letting the water from above bounce off of her.

She felt calm for a few seconds, closing her eyes she began to almost doze off before being struck with a sudden vision of the same kid she had seen in Chamber De Chasse.

His blonde hair and blue eyes penetrated through her in the most purest way plausible. And his aura was a bright orange with the smallest tiny bit of red.

Freya was frozen for a second, what did any of this mean she rambled to herself.

If she voiced aloud what her theory was, people would pity her and thats the last thing she ever wanted.

She would never openly admit to herself, but neither was she emotionally ready to bring this harsh piece of her's past back to life but she secretly thought it was her son.

The one she killed in a failed attempt to kill herself.

Was he coming back to haunt her?

She was living in a whole a new life in a way, she'd gotten her family back, everything was different and she got over it the best she could let herself. The last thing she needed was to relive those moments and bring to life this figment of boy she sees as who she would have believed to be her son if he had lived.

She refused to even give that thought the light of day, she couldn't.

But that small invasive thought still played in the back of her mind like a broken record.

And in a sense, it brought her an odd relief seeing this little boy, because no matter how much she tried to convince herself otherwise there was always that little voice in her head telling her "what if it is him?"

Back to present

Pulling up to a high rise building, Noren admired the streets of the French Quarter. At one point, Jax could have sworn that Noren's eyes were glistening his sight.

The streets were vibrant and filled with energy and the music's complex harmony that ricocheted off the architecture was beautiful in all the best ways, making people that heard it want to dance like it was the 20s, even if they couldn't.

Noren smiled once more at the view before realizing the car hadn't moved in a while. He looked up at Jax who was unbuckling his seat belt who not long after turned to the little boy in the backseat telling him they had arrived.

Noren was nervous. His heart had felt like it had dropped into his stomach and he felt like bees were swarming his insides looking for pollen.

The witch looked at the vampire before coming to a slow nod.

The vampire could hearing the pacing of his heartbeats quicken and to any normal person, they would be able to tell he was nervous.

"You gonna be fine, I promise." He reassured. About turn to leave the car, Noren stopped him.

"Jax, if you betray me I will kill you." Noren said hesitantly in a sort of whisper, almost out of impulse and nerves. Noren didn't give himself or Jax a chance to process his words before gathering his things and leaving the vehicle.

He didn't know if he meant, but he couldn't say he didn't.

Noren didn't desire being betrayed again and for what it was worth, he liked Jax, he was only seven and they were just words. Not to mention, what he said was a pretty big threat to follow up on.

Jax soon followed after the kid before standing next to him.

"I won't." Was all he said in monotone before leading the way into the compound.

As they entered there were vampires scattered everywhere, eyes traced over the boy's body before landing back onto his jugular vein causing him to follow closely behind Jax, almost tripping him a few times because of the little space Noren refused to give while walking.

Jax's eyes scanned the people in the compound before landing on a familiar face.

Noren gripped the straps of his back pack tightly while fiddling with the strings until Jax suddenly snatched his hand gripping it in his firmly while making his way, and to his surprise Noren didn't object.

"Josh, it's been a while." Jax spoke as they came to a halt in front of a tall man with dark brown hair.

Clearly startled, Josh was surprised to see Jax after a few days.

As he went to go speak his eyes diverted to the ground catching the stares of the little boy who's hand was wrapped harshly around the vampires.

His tongue was caught in his throat and had completely forgot what he was gonna say while staring at the strange little boy.

He looked back up at Jax who looked at him with a blank expression.

Suddenly, Josh was dragging Jax to the side to avoid  any wondering eyes, as if that was going help, before speaking.

"What?! Are you crazy, bringing a kid around here of all places?" He spoke gesturing to the little boy.

Noren furrowed his brows at the tall mans words.

Jax simply rolled his eyes before letting go of Noren's hand before smiling in a sort of sarcastic way. Josh didn't even get to process what was happening until Jax wrapped his arms around him like they were long time buddies while starting to walk.

"Hey man, where's the big guy. I've got something that he should know about." He buttered up to the vampire causing Josh to furrow his eyebrows this time.

Shrugging off his arm weight, Josh turned to Jax before diverting his eyes to the kid once again who was just watching the banter between the two take place like an episode of Golden Girls.

Scoffing, Josh looked back up at Jax before continuing.

"He's busy right now and I am sure you already know this." He hinted giving him a knowing look trying not to explain further.

Josh took this as his moment to walk away but didnt get far seeing as Jax grew annoyed pretty quickly and didn't hesitate grabbing him up by the collar this time.

"Okay, look Joshy. You must have misunderstood me and my type of...dialect but I wasn't aski-"

"Hey!"

Just as he was about to finish he was interrupted by sudden, yet all too familiar voice along with a surprise choke hold by none other than the person he was looking for.

"Well I'll be damned and here I thought you completely abandoned us all for that witch."

Jax's face hardened out of instinct but quickly coughed up a quick laugh.

Marcel let him go stifling a chuckle not letting the vampires fleeting reaction go unnoticed before slowly turning around to face the nervous boy standing behind him, who's heart was racing at 100mph.

Jax's eyes widened at whatever encounter that was about to take place but didn't dare stop Marcel when he began making his way over to the shaken boy.

Noren backed up as soon as Marcel came close in distance with him, he noticed this and began moving slower, trying his best to prove that he wasn't a threat while raising both his hands up.

"Relax kid." He said in a hush tone, before kneeling on the ground to meet the boy at eye level, he held out his hand greeting the boy in pleasantly embracing tone.

"My names Marcel Gerard and who might you be?"

Noren looked at the hand that was extended out in front of him before looking over the strangers shoulder to Jax who subtly smiled with a small nod.

"M-My name is Noren Grey."

Okay its getting confusing, please comment any questions!!!!!

โ‡ฃโ‡ฃ PLEASE READ BELOW โ‡ฃโ‡ฃ

i tried my best writing the parts with Freya I could emotionally, because well we all know how hard it was for her to lose her baby and this boy she keeps seeing who is obviously Noren, carries similar features to her yk since it is her brothers son, and its an emotional trauma that plays with your mind subconsciously so thats what i was trying to explore. I know that sounds messed up but i wanted to give her visions a meaning and depth so idk lmk what you think? (This is terribly written and explained also, please bare with me but yk what im trying to say?)

And the writing sucks, yeah i kno

Sorry for the grammar and sorry for the wait and suspense each chapter, next one IS GONNA BE GOOD I PROMISE. I just dont want to make them too long.

Love you all<3
