A Mothers Warmth'

โ˜ฝ

Present

THE NIGHT SKY'S ILLUMINATED through the Mikaelson child's window, reflecting onto her crescent birthmark that was placed perfectly, in a way that it glistened directly under the moonlight.

How ironic.

Beyond that, she looked peaceful sleeping.

Her mom, Hayley Marshall was just in the other room working on different ways to figure out how to save the people who she now proudly called family, when she heard the one thing in the world that she never wanted to hear in her time of being a mother.

The screams of her child, it was as if she was screaming like her life depended on it.

But it wasn't anything new to the Marshall girl, even though it was something that had been occurring way to often recently, it still felt like the world was ending every time she heard her daughter screaming in the other room.

Hayley sped to the room using her supernatural ability without wasting a second before grabbing the red headed girl and pulling her into her arms, letting the girl know that she's safe and that her mom was here now.

A motherly love and comfort.

Something that nobody could replace. A feeling of warmth and protection in your heart. Something that you can't get from anyone else. It was a special bond between two people that was irreplaceable.

Yes, there are such things as mother figures, they are just as much a mom as the women who birthed the child, depending on how the kid feels. But as for Noren, he had neither.

He didn't have a mom, he didn't even have a mother figure.

Not anymore.

He was alone, nobody was gonna be there for him to comfort them in the middle of the night when he has nightmares, not that anyone did before. And no one is gonna be there to show him the rights and wrongs, or even what the dark and scary place that's called life and what it has to offer, especially for beings like him.

When Hope was there in the arms of her mother, she couldn't help but sniffle a sob, before her breathing became increased.

Hayley rubbed circles in her back, before telling the child to calm down and letting her know she's safe.

Hope squeezed her mom tightly before trying to speak, even though her words came out as hiccups due to her crying.

"Hey, hey listen to me. Breathe." Hayley grabbed her daughters face before taking a deep breath in, as a way to encourage the Mikaelson child.

Following along, after a few minutes Hope was able to gather her words in her mind carefully before speaking.

"I-It's the dream about the boy."

Hayley looked at the girl with eyes of heart ache.

"I know. The same one with the blonde hair, right?" Hayley responded softly while pushing one of her red locks behind her ear.

Hayley wouldn't voice it aloud to Hope, of course. But she became more and more worried about the nightmares her daughter was having.

She realized, that not only will she have to get the family back for the benefit of assuring her daughter would grow up safe and loved, but also because the only person that could help with these nightmares was still asleep. And now more than ever, she needed to understand what they meant, for her daughters sake, even if she was just being paranoid she thought.

Sure, she could have another witch find out what the dreams meant. But she didn't want to put the her daughter life in the trust of some witch, especially knowing very well the type of attention the child would get.

So now, this gave Hayley even more of a reason if it was even possible, than before to find the last remaining pack she had on her list, Malraux.

OKAY, sorry next chapter for SURE it will be Noren in the rain and shit. Cuz I really feel weird adding that part it with no context, like...

so yeah it will be him navigating life and trying to stay clear of the Nasca Coven from finding him.
