It was a new week and Nellie was at Kurts house doing a single ladies routine.The music was turned off and Kurts dad stood there.

"Dad...you're home early" He said."Deadliest catch is on.What are you wearing?" Mr.Hummel asked."It's a unitard.Guys wear them to,uh,work out nowadays.Do sports.They wick sweat from the body."

"F-Football" Tina spoke up."Yeah,all the guys in football wear them.They're jock-chic" Kurt lied.Nellie crossed her arms over her chest."Totally Kurts on the football team now.He's the kicker.That's the smallest guy on the field right"

"Y-Yeah,Brit,Tina and Nel were just helping me with some conditioning work"

"Hmm.Really? You know,I played in JC,before I busted up my knee popping wheelies on my dirt bike"Mr.Hummel said."Cool,I guess we'll have something to talk about then"

"So one of you three his girlfriend?" Mr.Hummel asked."Erm,I'm one of his best friends sisters.I just came over to help him with the play book" Nellie said plastering a fake grin on.

"And this is my girlfriend" He slapped Tinas ass."Hm.Just keep the music down.I can't hear myself think up there" Kurt nodded as Mr.Hummel walked upstairs.

"You're so screwed Kurt" Nellie said walking off.

A couple days later
In glee club,Mr.Shue was handing out sheet music and Rachel did not look happy."Excuse me,this isn't the right key" She said."Here we go again" Nellie muttered to Santana."No,thats actually the right key" Mr.Shue corrected.

"This is the alto part" Rachel went on.Nellie rubbed her temples."Yep.Nellies doing the solo" Nellie looked down at her sheet music and sure enough she did have the solo.

"Thanks,Mr.Shue"

"Nellie? We don't even know if she can sing I-I-I mean you just recruited her"

"Leave Nellie alone hobbit" Santana snapped.The Latina had always been protective of her,since Nellie was a freshman and there were a lot of bullies here.

"I-I'm sorry.There must be some sort of mix up.I thought I made it very clear that anything from west side story goes to me.Maria is my part.Natalie wood was a Jew,you know.I've had a very deep personal connection to this role since the age of one"

"I'm a Jew" Nellie said."And what the hell? Why cant I have a solo?"

"Because you cant have the part! It's mine!" Rachel yelled."Well,I'm trying to shake things up a bit get us out of our boxes." You're trying to punish me." Rachel said.

"Shut up" Nellie scoffed."I think you're being irrational" Mr.Shue said."I think you're being unfair!"

"I think you're being unfair to Nellie,who might've been happy about getting her first solo" Nellie face a fake grin to Rachel who glared at her.

"Nellie knows how much I respect her,and I think she would agree with me that she's not ready for such an iconic role as Maria"

"YOU KNOW WHAT BERRY-" Nellie yelled charging at her before Finn held her back."Let me at her!" Rachel slammed the paper down and stormed out of the room.

"Yeah that's right Rachel! Get out!" Nellie yelled."She does know the more times she storms out the less impact it has?" Artie said."Congrats,Nellie"

Finn and Nellie were about to walk out when Kurt stopped them."Finn? I need to ask you something" He said."Thanks,but I already have a date to the prom.But I'm flattered.I know how important dances are to teen gays"

"The hell?" Nellie asked."I'm not gay" Kurt said."Yeah and that was kinda rude Finn" Nellie said crossing her arms over her chest."I just need a favor"

Kurt had dragged them to the football field where Finn and her brother had practice.Oh,Nellie finally got back on the Cheerios after Quinn had convinced Sue to let her back on.So here she was, talking to Matt and Mike as Kurt was walking with Finn on the field.

"I'm confused,why does Kurt want to join?" Matt asked as he watched the scrawny body move agains the field."Long story" Nellie said biting her lip."Must've been" Mike said.

"Nellie! Over here!" Nellie placed a kiss on both of the boys cheeks and ran off."So,you're in glee club,tell me,are Finn and Kurt dating?" Puck asked."What? No!" Nellie asked shoving him.Puck shoved her back in a defensive way before Finn pulled them apart.

"He doesn't belong here" Puck said."I thought the football team was open to anyone" Nellie retorted."Yeah.And didn't you join acafellas?" Finn snapped."Acafellas?" Nellie asked confused.

"Long story" Both boys said at the same time."I'm a stud,dude.I can wear a dress to school and people think it's cool" Nellie scoffed.

"Go away Nellie" Puck said."But weren't you the one-you know what who cares" Nellie gave a thumbs up at Kurt who was going to shoot his shot.She glared at the boys who were laughing at him.

"Got something to say?" She snarled."No,sorry" The boys muttered.The only reason they shut up was because puck was standing right next to her and would beat anyone up if they talked to her in the wrong way.

Kurt turned on his music and Nellie started dancing along while making sure to hit and kick some dudes on purpose.It was nice to see Kurt having fun and Nellie was just completely into to the music.She stepped on a kids foot,specifically the one who was bullying Kurt.

"Oops,sorry bestie" She sarcastically said."Gentlemen! We have found ourselves a kicker!"

"Wooo! Go Kurt!" Nellie yelled jumping up and down.

The next day,Nellie was pulled to the side by Quinn."I need to talk to you" She said,tears filling her eyes.Nellie furrowed her brows before walking into the bathroom with her."Promise you won't tell anyone? This is just a you and me thing for now" The tan nodded.

"I'm pregnant" Nellie audibly gasped and leaned against the bathroom stall."What? Quinn,how did this happen? W-When did this happen?" Nellie asked.

"Last month.Finn and I were in the hot tub and w-we did it" Nellie sighed."Oh my god Quinn,does Finn know?"

"No,you're the only person who knows so far" What is with people telling Nellie their deepest darkest secrets?

"You need to tell Finn! Quinn,I'm glad you told me not Finn is the father.He should know.Wait,he is the father right?" Quinn nodded."I'm just so scared.What if he leaves me? What if he doesn't want anything to do with our baby?"

"Quinn,I'm sure everything will be all right.Finns a good guy,sure he'll be a little confused but he'll get the spirit when you explain to him what happens.Hey,if you ever need anything,like a doctors appointment,I'm here" Quinn wrapped Nellie in a hug.

"Thanks Nel.You're a great friend"

"Yeah,I try" They walked off together to their next class.

So it turns out Rachel is trying to quit glee all because little Ms.Diva didn't get her solo and Nellie didn't think she could hate the girl anymore.Seriously,how selfish and bitchy can you get? Yet Nellie was the one who volunteered to try and talk Rachel in to coming back to glee.

"Listen Rachel,you're being difficult.It's not like you haven't got almost every solo so far" Nellie said running to catch up to her."Nel,I'm not quitting glee,I just need a reason to stay"

"Yeah,we're not on the terms where you can call me Nel yet." Nellie interrupted."Anyways,I'm just looking for a reason to stay"

"The hell? You literally get every solo like I previously stated,what more do you want? Seriously Rachel you're being so immature over a simple thing!"

"Like you weren't being immature when you wouldn't speak to me for over a week because I almost got you kicked off your precious team?" Rachel snapped.Nellie scoffed."Thats different.I actually had a reason to be upset.You're overreacting.Come back to glee,and I'm sure you can get the next solo."

"Everyone on the team is getting something out being there.Except for me" Nellie was fuming at this point.What was her problem? First she makes a huge scene by basically saying Mr.Shue sucked at dancing,and now she was trying to play the victim.

"What? Rachel you literally get everything you want in glee club.I don't get-"

"That's the thing! You're popular,hot,you're basically the whole package outside of the choir room.But me,the choir room is where I feel safe.Where I can be a star"

If the words 'star' came out of her mouth one more time Nellie was sure she was going to punch Rachel."Nellie,you're an amazing dancer.But,why did Mr.Shue need to hurt me to make you feel good?"

Is she mental? That was the only question Nellie could ask at the moment.How inconsiderate,selfish,annoying can you get?

"You know what Rachel,come to glee,don't come to glee I don't care anymore.What I'm not going to do,is feel bad for you when you're clearly in the wrong.Now if you'll excuse me,I have a solo I need to sing.Cya!" Rachel huffed and stormed out of the choir room.

"Did you do it? Is she coming back?" Mr.Shue asked.Nellie shook her head."Damn it" He muttered."Ok,let's get started" Nellie nodded and got on the stepping stool.As Nellie started singing she suddenly became insecure about herself.

"I-I can't do this.Can't believe I'm saying this,but maybe Rachel was right" Nellie cringed on her own words.

"Nellie,you did amazing" Mr.Shue reassured."Have you noticed the more confident you are,the less you put yourself down like this? Hey,I need you to be great at regionals.To do that,you've got to know that you can do this"

Nellie walked out of the choir room to see Finn leaning against the door."Finn? Are you ok?" She asked.He didn't say anything,just walked right into her arms and started crying.And due to his massive size she almost tumbled over.

"Hey,hey,you're ok.Did Quinn tell you?" She asked.Finn pulled away." You knew?"

"Yeah,Quinn told me." Finn took a quivering breath."I-I need to talk to Mr.Shue.See you Nel" And with that he walked off.

Time Skip
"You're being very weird lately" Nellie said to her older brother as he was throwing a football in the air."I'm fine." He said.The girl slowly rubbed her chin.

"Hm,you sure?" She asked."Nel,leave it"

"Whatever.Just know you have practice with Kurt for the single ladies routine" Nellie did part of the dance and Puck groaned."Can you take my place? Not like anyone will notice"

"Shut up,you're doing the dance" Nellie said.Puck groaned one last time.

The next day
"Nel?" Puck asked as his sister walked into the room."Hello losers,I've decided to help you all get ready for the dance" Nellie said smiling at Kurt."Damn Puck,your sisters hot" One of the football guys said.

"Piss off.She doesn't want you" Puck said.Mr.Shue was trying to choreograph the football players Nellie and Kurt watched in embarrassment.

"Move it Mr.Shue,and let the pros take over" Nellie said."Alright guys,5,6,7,8" Nellie and Kurt started showing the moves with Nellie doing it perfectly.

"Come on Matt you can move better then that,puck loose the stiffness,there you go Mike!" Nellie said encouraging the football players.

"Okay,that's enough for today gentlemen.We'll work on it.Just hit the showers" Nellie walked away with puck and Finn since they were driving her home."Whats your problem?" Puck asked."Nothing.I just have a lot on my mind"

"Seriously Dude,what's going on? I'm your best friend." Puck pressed."It's personal" Finn said."Talk"

"He just said it's personal,leave him alone" Nellie chimed."I knew it,you're in love with Kurt"

"Quinn's pregnant and she's keeping the baby" Nellie sighed.It was really none of pucks business,why did he care?

The next day
Now,the only people who knew about Quinn's pregnancy were Nellie,Finn and puck.Puck had been acting strange ever since he found out,and Nellie had no clue why.She also offered to help out Finn and Quinn with whatever they needed.

But today was the football game and Nellie was on the sidelines cheering for the football team.The game was on,and of course they were loosing.Nellie kept on cheering despite the fact they literally suck.

Finally it was time for the dance.Nellie was on the sidelines dancing along.Santana grinned at her.Finn threw the ball and puck caught it.

"WOOOO!" Nellie cheered.Now Kurt was on the field and the music was being played again.

"You got this Kurt" Nellie whispered to herself.He made the kick and Nellie screamed and cheered.She jumped into kurts arms and wrapped him in a hug."Hey! Oh my god I didn't even think I could do it" Kurt said out of breath.

"You did amazing Kurt!" Nellie yelled.Then Kurt was being carried into the locker rooms.She noticed puck standing alone and she walked over to him and wrapped her in a hug.

"Oh,hey Nel" Puck said tiredly."Hey bro.You did good,you know" Nellie said.Puck ruffled her hair."Thanks.Lets go home"

The next day puck and Nellie were walking down the hall to her next class when he stopped in front of Finn and Quinn.

"Hey,guys.How you doing? You know lately I've been getting really sick in the morning" Nellies eyes widened at what he was trying to hint at."Must be a virus"

"Hey,you putting on a little weight? You should watch your carbs,they're not going to be able to hoist you to the top of that cheerleading pyramid much longer"

"Seriously Puck? Leave her alone!" Nellie yelled."Hey,don't talk to my girlfriend like that" Finn said.

"You know what,you're right.I was out of line"Puck walked off.Nellie gave a sad smile towards the couple before she walked off as well.

The glee club was chatting in the choir room when Mr.Shue opened the door introducing the newest members of the glee club.Matt,Mike and Puck.Nellie looked at Mr.Shue in confusion.Why would he let the biggest haters of glee club join?

"Nel,I'm sorry for the way I've been acting lately.I haven't been a good brother,or a good friend.You're basically one of the only family members who gives a damn about me.I'm going to try and be a better brother,if you'll let me" Nellie nodded and wrapped him in a hug.

"Ok...why don't we start off with tonight from west side story?" Rachel grinned,hoping he dropped Nellie and realized she was the real star,but her face dropped when Nellie was called up.

Nellie grinned and started her song.
