Nellie and the other new directions sat in Mr.Shue's apartment to discuss about the set list. Coach was going to be a judge at regionals, so the new directions spirits were low. Except for Nellies. She still believed that they had a chance at winning this.

Mr.Shue and Quinn walked out of the kitchen.

"No one wants any pizza?" The glee club stood silent at the question. "All right, let's get this started. Thank you for coming to the first annual New Directions regionals set list nominations party" No one seemed thrilled or enthusiastic at his words.

"What's the point Mr.Shue? Coach Sylvesters gonna judge.She's gonna crush us" Artie sadly said.

"Artie you don't know that" Mr.Shue argued. "Yes we do, she told us at cheer practice" Nellie said. "That doesn't mean we're gonna lose. What about tie other judges? They can like, overrule it right?"

"A whole freaking year. All that hard work for nothing" Puck said. Everyone looked over at Tina who was now starting to cry. "I'm sorry. I just really love you guys. You know how many Facebook friends I had before I joined glee club? Two. My parents. Rachel was right. Being part of something special it made me special. I just can't believe it's gonna be over in a week" Nellie wiped away her own tears that was coming down her cheek.

"Wait. Who says it's gonna be over?" Finn asks. Nellie nods in agreement. "We can do this guys. We just gotta give it our all!" She beamed. No one smiled or agreed with her except for Finn.

"Please. You think Puck or Santana or even Nellie are gonna even acknowledge my existence once we're not in glee club together anymore?" Nellie scoffed.

"You crazy? You're my friend, and I'll still see you as one even if glee club ends. Which it won't. Tina, please stop crying. Then you're gonna make me cry" Nellie said.

"She has a point" Puck commented. "Mr.Schuester? Do you think instead of nominating songs, we can just... all go around the room and talk about things we loved about glee club"

The glee club proceeded to go around and tell what they all liked about it. Nellies personal favorite moment was when April Rhodes showed up. It was fun yet hilarious at the same time.

Nellie was walking down the stairs when she caught Finn and Rachel kissing. "Get a room" She commented walking into the choir room. Rachel and Finn followed behind

"Mr.Shue, Finn and I have something we want to say to you." Rachel said.

"Me first. Have a seat."

"Nine months ago, there were six of you in here. And we sucked. I mean, we really sucked. Bad. One day, all of you are going to be gone. And all of this, all of us will be nothing but a hazy memory. It will take you a second to remember everyone's names. Someone will have to remind you of the songs we sung, the solos you got or didn't get. Life only really has one beginning and one end, and the rest is just a whole lot of middle. And I love you guys too much to let you not make the most of it. Now I was going to quit once, but you guys brought me back with "don't stop believing". It was a nine. But we are going to make it a ten."

"We're doing don't stop at regionals?" Nellie asked. Mr.Shue nodded and Nellie grinned.

"And then some. We are doing a journey medley. Because who cares what happens when we get there when the getting there has been so much fun?" Kurt, Mercedes, and Nellie grinned at each other. They got this.

"Rachel? You had something you wanted to say?" Mr.Shue asked.

"Just that we're all really glad you're not an accountant" Rachel joked. Nellie let out a laugh and shook her head in amusement.

"Regionals, here we come."

The day of regionals was finally here and Nellie couldn't be anymore nervous. Nellie was fixing her dress as she also listened to the announcements.

"And now for our panel of judges, he's an international musical sensation, a platinum recording artist 20 times over, the inimitable Mr. Josh Groban! She's a four time Grammy winner who starred in the highest- grossing movie musical of all time, Ms. Olivia Newton- John! He's a two time local Emmy winner and broadcasting icon, WOHN news anchor Rod Remington! She is fresh off her fifth consecutive national cheerleading title and author of the soon to be published memoir, in a Winner and You're Fat, Ohio's home grown iconoclast, Coach Sue Sylvester! And now our first performance of the evening, from westvale high in scenic Fort Wayne, Indiana, Aural Intensity."

As the glee club listened to Aural Intensity preform Nellie could feel herself getting upset.

"Are you kidding me? They must've known they were going to judge. There's no way" She exclaimed.

"Guys we can't get distracted by what the other teams are doing." Rachel said.

"We just gotta keep our heads in the game and focus" Finn added. Nellie took a deep breath. She couldn't get herself worked up over this. She was going to be fine. They were going to win this competition.

"Even though we know we can't win?" Santana snarked.

"Yes. If this is only about winning for you guys, then I owe you all an apology, because I've failed you. And we should all just go home, because it means we've already lost. Besides, we have got something that the other groups don't."

"What?"

"Finns dancing. Right? Come on! Now let's get out there. We got two minutes. Aural Intensity's almost finished. Bring it in. Come on. Come on. Let's go, go, go, go, go and...."

"Whoa!"

Nellie gripped pucks hand for dear life.

"Ow Nel! You're gonna break it if you hold it that hard!" He hissed taking his hand out of her grip.

"Sorry. I'm just super nervous" Puck pulled Nellie in for a side hug. "We'll be ok. You're gonna nail it out there, ok?" Nellie nodded.

"Ladies and gentlemen, our second competitors, winner of the central Ohio sectional, McKinley Highs New Directions!"

The glee club ran behind the stage after the performance.

"Oh my god we totally killed it!" Nellie yelled wrapping Santana in a hug.

"Damn right we did!" Puck yelled back.

"We got second place in the bag!" Tina said. "Screw that we're gonna win this!" Rachel exclaimed.

"Quinney?" Nellie turned around to see Quinn's mom. Quinn's father never liked Nellie for some reason, maybe it was because she had a darker skin tone then him. Maybe that's why he also hid all the fancy objects in the house.

"Mom. What're you doing here?" She asked.

"I came to hear you sing. You were wonderful. I'm-I'm so sorry I missed all the other times you preformed. Were there a lot? I left your father. Well I-I kicked him out, actually. He was having an affair with some uh...tattooed freak. Quinney, I want you to come home with me. I can turn the guest room into a nursery. Oh, sweetie say something."

"My water just broke"

Nellies jaw dropped.

"Quinn's water just broke!" Nellie yelled into the room. The new directions quickly shot up and Nellie was panting. She was really about to meet her niece. Puck and Nellie ended up riding with Quinn and her mom while everyone else took the bus.

Once they got to the hospital they put Quinn in a wheelchair and she was guided into the hospital.

"Mom it hurts so bad!" Quinn yelled. Ms.Fabray walks up to a nurse.

"My daughter is having a baby!" She tells.

"Ok, uh, right this way" They're about to go into a hospital room before Quinn stops.

"Wait wait! I want Mercedes and Nel with me" Nellie looks around.

"Me? Why me?"

"No time for questions! Move it!" Mrs.Fabray demands.

Once they got in a hospital room Quinn was completely in labor. She was screaming and crying.

"Oh god! It's never coming, ever!" She screamed while sobbing. Then she started yelling at puck.

"Oh you suck you suck you suck you suck!" She yelled.

"Come on Quinn just push!" Nellie encouraged. Clearly that wasn't working.

"Okay she's crowning!" The nurse said.

"Push Quinn you got this!" Nellie yelled. Quinn was still screaming and crying. Finally Quinn gave birth and was holding her daughter. Nellies niece.

Beth.

She was adorable. Puck and Quinn ended up staying behind with Beth. Of course Nellie got to hold her and be with her for a few moments before Nellie had to go back to the competition.

"Thank you all for coming. As you all know, glee club is such an important... And I honestly can't even finish that sentence. So let's just get to it. The 2010 Midwest regionals runners up from Fort Wayne, Indiana, the not at all stupidly named Aural Intensity. And now, your 2010 Midwest Regional Show Choir champions, Vocal adrenaline"

The girl who tormented Nellie in the bathroom smirked and Nellie and held out the trophy. Nellie growled and tried lunging at her before Finn held her back. Nellie stood there for a moment. Just looking at the ground. This was it. Glee club was over.

"We didn't even place" Artie commented.

A few hours later Quinn and Nellie met up.

"I'm so confused. Why'd you want me with you? I-I mean I haven't been the best friend I could be." Nellie said.

"Because you taught me an important lesson about honesty and integrity. You taught me to own up to my mistakes. Without you, I would've had nothing. Been nothing" Nellie brought Quinn in for a hug.

"Did you find someone who was going to take Beth in?" Nellie asked.

"Not yet. I wanna make sure they're good people first" Nellie nodded.

"Come on Quinn, let's get going"

Monday came around and the glee club was still depressed about their loss at regionals. Nellie spent her weekend visiting Beth and comforting her friends about the loss.

Rachel and Finn decided to put one last number together for Mr.Shue before glee club was permanently disbanded. Artie told Nellie that they already was redecorating the choir room.

"So we have something we want to say to you."

"In the beginning of this year, I was just another football player" Matt starts.

"I had a stutter" Tina mentions.

"I was a closeted diva" Mercedes adds.

"I was just a freshman cheerleader who didn't know what she wanted to do with her life" Nellie says.

"I used to be captain of the Cheerios" Quinn said.

"I was afraid to dance outside my own room." Mike admits.

"I hated everyone in this club" Santana comments.

"So did I" Brittany admits.

"I wasn't honest about who I was" Kurt said.

"I was tossing kids into dumpsters and pushing my sister around" Nellie sent a small smile towards Puck and he smiled back.

"I had never kissed a girl before" Artie said.

"And I was getting slushied"

"I didn't-I didn't have a father. Someone I could look up to. Model myself after. Someone who could show me what it really meant to be a man."

"We don't care what the judges say. We won. Because we had you as a teacher."

"Glee clubs never gonna end, Mr.Shue because...you are glee club. Everyone's gonna talk about it to our kids. It's gonna live on forever" Nellie said.

The next day the glee club sat in the room as Mr.Shue was about to make his announcement.

"We got another year!" He grinned. Nellie looked around.

"What?" She asked.

"Come on, we got another year!" Nellie stood up and grinned.

"Oh my god!" She cheered. Everyone started hugging each other and Nellie went over to hug Finn.

"We got another year Hudson River!" She cheered grinning.

"Ok, you guys, I think this is the perfect opportunity for us to start rehearsing for next years sectionals immediately."

"Guys, you've all worked hard this year. You deserve a break. Take the summer off. Have some fun. Oh, before you go I have something for you. You all sang for me the other day, so today I'd like to return the favor. Puck, if you're ready."

Nellie learned so much and made so many friends this year. Sophomore year she prayed it was going to be as fun as her freshman one. The glee club will live on, and next year she'll be right back where she was.
