It had been a week since glee club won sectionals and they all were slightly more popular.Nellie was talking with Mercedes by her locker when Rachel walked by.

"Hey babe.Looking good" Mercedes complimented."Feeling good,Mercedes" Rachel grinned."This is amazing.We won sectionals,and now we're on our way to regionals" Kurt walked by and linked arms with Nellie.

"I wave to be with you Rachel." JBI said walking behind Rachel.She ignored him and kept on taking to her friends.

"We're glitterati.I feel like lady Gaga" Kurt spoke up."And I feel like Beyoncé" Nellie grinned flipping her hair behind her ear."Get used to it guys.We're stars now.On par with all the jocks and popular kids.Oh,it's the dawn on a new area in McKinley and we are going to rule this school!" Just after she said that they were all slusheed except for Nellie.

"Welcome back to the top of the food chain Nellie" Azimo grinned walking off."GROW UP!" Nellie screamed.

A few days later the glee club was gathered in the choir room as Mr.Shue wrote their lesson down for the week."Hello? Hello?" Mr.Shue asked hoping for an answer.

"Hello" Nellie answered unenthusiastic.She had her head on Kurts lap and her feet on mikes."What do you guys said when you answer the phone?"

"Who this be?"

"Finn hang up the phone" Nellie joked."No she's dead this is her son" All the humor seemed to fade out of the room when Kurt said that.

"O-Okay.Alexander Graham Bell,inventor of the telephone,liked to say "Ahoy,Ahoy," when he answered the phone.It was Edison who decided that "hello" was a more appropriate greeting.Look,I am really proud of what you guys did at sectionals.But as make of you have realized by now,it hasn't made a difference in your day to day at school."

"I have a slushee stained training bra to prove it" Nellie gave her a disgusted look."Literally no one needed to know that." She snapped.

"Well at least I don't stuff to look good,Nellie" Nellies jaw dropped.It wasn't her fault she was developing late."The fact is,we're gonna have to be better,even more spectacular at regionals.It's time for some reinvention,some new directions.We need a new...hello.Here's your assignment for the week.Come up with a fresh number and it has to have "hello" in the song title,all right?"

Everyone looked unhappy and unfazed except for Finn and Rachel.They have been getting closer ever since the pregnancy secret came out.Nellie had been ignoring her brother,and Quinn was steering clear of her because she was scared Nellie would yell or hit her.

The next day
Nellie and the glee club kids were in the choir room again as Finn was getting ready to sing his song for the week.Nellie was taking a nap in the back,with Finn occasionally looking to make sure she was ok.Santana covered her with a blanket.

"Ok,take it away Finn" Mr.Shue said lowly so Nellie wouldn't wake up.

"And that my fellow glee clubbers,is how we say hello" Rachel finished.Nellie was still sleeping and Kurt woke her up.She sighed and stood up grabbing her bag and walking out.

"Nel.Can we please talk?" Puck begged."We said what we needed to say at sectionals.I don't need to talk to you"

"YES YOU DO!" Puck screamed.Nellie flinched and turned around."I AM SICK OF YOU ACTING LIKE SUCH A BITCH ABOUT THIS!"

"Excuse me? I have all of the reasons to be mad.You said you would-"

"Yeah but not everything goes the way you want,does it?" Puck asked."You know what Puck,how about you go jump off a cliff?"

"Sure,right after you do it" Nellie gave him a finger and puck scoffed at her."Come on Nel,this punk isn't worth it" Finn said grabbing her arm.

"Let go of me Finn.I need to give him a piece of my mind" Nellie grunted trying to get out of his iron grip."You and I both know it's gonna end by puck being on the floor holding his nose and you'll be above him laughing.You sure you wanna risk getting kicked off the Cheerios and getting suspended?"

Nellie stared at him for a moment before sighing."You ruin everything Hudson River"

The next day was chaotic as hell.First,Nellie forgot to put on socks because of how exhausted she was so everyone was eyeing her weirdly when she walked past them with no socks.Second,apparently Rachel and Finn broke up.

Nellie didn't even know they were dating.So when she saw Rachel crying by her lockers,she assumed it was because someone was being rude or mean.

"Rachel? Are you ok?" Nellie asked."No,Finn broke up with me!" She sobbed."Wait,you guys dated?" She asked confused."Yes,why does everyone keep asking that?"

"No reason" Nellie quickly dismissed."But how about you tell me why Finn broke up with you?"

"F-For his reputation! He can't stand to be seen with anyone who's not a cheerleader" Rachel look at Nellies outfit and looked back at hers."Oh,uh,I don't really know what to say to that." She awkwardly patted her back and smiled at her.

"I know what I'm going to do" Rachel said wiping her tears."Oh don't tell me you're going to sing.Why so you always have to sing?" Nellie groaned trotting behind her.

"That's the whole point.We're in glee club,and I'm going to show Finn how I feel" Rachel grinned.Nellie groaned.This was not going to end well,at all.

"Whatever.If you get in trouble by Mr.Shue for completely going off the assignment,that's not my problem" Nellie shrugged."Whatever.Come on"

The glee club members sat in the choir room as Rachel and Nellie sat together.She was glaring at Santana and Brittany who were flirting with Finn.

"Stop staring at them" Nellie scolded hitting her arm."All right,guys,you got to get moving to those "hello" numbers.Who has got something to show us?" Both Nellie and Rachel raised their hands.

"Mr.Shue,I think I have found a song that sums up my feelings perfectly"

"Um,I think I saw Nellie raise her hand first.Why don't you give it a try Nellie?" Nellie grinned and stood up before being pushed down again by Rachel."Nel wouldn't mind if I go first,right Nel?"

Nellie was about to protest before Rachel glared at her."Whatever" She mumbled slouching in her seat.

"Fantastic Rachel,show us what you got"

Nellie threw her head back and sighed.Rachel completely went against the point of the assignment.

"Guys,I don't want to be a buzz kill,but the assignment was "hello"" Mr.Shue said."I'm sorry,I was just focusing on the first syllable" Rachel responded turning around to glare at Finn.

"I-I had a song that actually follows the assignment" Nellie snapped."Nel,no one wants to hear that right now" Mr.Shue sighed.Nellies jaw dropped.

"I don't think you guys understand the serious of what we're up against.While we were busy winning our sectionals,vocal adrenaline was busy winning theirs.They're last years national champions.They haven't lost a competition in three years.This is the big leagues,if we don't place at regionals,glee club is over"

Nellie found it odd when some random boy and Rachel were talking,so she rolled her eyes and closed her locker."Please don't tell me you're mad at me too" Nellie turned to see Finn standing right in front of her.

"Of course not.I'm your friend,plus,Rachel is overreacting in my opinion" Finn grinned and wrapped her in a hug."Promise we'll stay friends no matter what?"

Nellie and Finn were walking down the hallway together when they stopped in front of Rachel."What in the hell is that?" She whispered looking at Rachel's locker.Rachel quickly shut her locker.

"Hey,Rach can we talk?" Finn asked."Look I apologize.I realize I don't wanna date other girls.Only you"

Wait what? Nellie thought they were moving way to fast,I mean he just broke up with Quinn."I'm glad you've come to that realization,but you're too late.I've met someone else.A boy who's finally worth my talent and love?"

"What? Who?" Nellie asked."His name is Jesse,and he's in vocal adrenaline"

"Rachel,we're competing against vocal adrenaline.Don't you think it's a bit odd how he suddenly shows up when we win sectionals?"

"Yeah," Finn agreed."I know it's hard to believe that anyone would like me without an ulterior motive,but you both have to respect that our love is real"

"Rachel,it's time you face the tough truth.It's 99% certain you're being used because you're apparently the star of the group,so he's going to use that to his advantage and with you being the hopeless romantic you're going to leak information faster then when Quinn opened her legs for my brother.Clear?"

"No Nellie,we're not clear" She stormed off bumping shoulders with the teen.Nellie scoffed and rolled her eyes,turning to Finn."You owe me ten bucks if she gets her heart broken"

"Oh come on,we shouldn't bet on that" Finn shut down."Come on Hudson River,I need money to buy clothes" Nellie whined.Finn sighed."Only for you though"

In glee club,Nellie was finally able to sing her song that she spent hours writing."Ok.Finally I get to sing my song.Since Someone didn't let me sing it" Every eyes darted over to Mr.Shue and he looked down.

At the end of the performance everyone gave Nellie a standing ovation she she bowed."Awesome job Nellie!" She grinned and sat down next to Mercedes and Kurt.They did their handshake and turned back towards Mr.Shue.

Rachel was called into the choir room where Nellie,Mercedes,Kurt,Artie and Tina were."Cut the butter,Benedict Arnold.Nel told us about your new boyfriend."

"Guys! You wasn't supposed to say I said anything" Nellie hissed."Look Rachel,we're all happy that you're happy,but we've worked to hard in glee club to let you all throw it away on a relationship that might not even be real"

"Why? Cause he's in vocal adrenaline?" Rachel questioned."Yes Rachel! And after he graduates he'll probably run off and never look back at you!" Nellie fumed.

"Their motto is Aut neca aut necatus eris which loosely translates to murder or be murdered" Nellie gaped at that."We should make up something like that" Mercedes glared at her.

"I heard that they drink Red Bull's,because if they don't they'll collapse on the stage form exhaustion" Nellie told."We're not saying the dude is playing you-"

"He's playing you" Nellie and Kurt repeated at the same time."We're just saying that until regionals is over we can't risk the possibility that he is"

"None of us want to go through what happened at sectionals again"

"Yeah,let's just say Jesse asks you 'Hey Rachel,I told you my set list now tell me yours' and you spill your guts talking about the set list,we'll have a repeat of what happened last time"

"Okay,look,Jessie and I might not be true love,but what if we are? I know who I am.How many chances at this am I going to get?"

She had a point there.Nellie knew it was rare for Rachel to experience love,since pretty much everyone at the school hated her.But she also wanted to look out for Rachel's best interests.

"If you don't break up with him you're out" Nellies jaw dropped.They couldn't possibly kick her out.As much as Nellie hated to say it,she was the most talented one here.

"You can't kick me out!" Rachel exclaimed."But we can all quit,if Mr.Shue doesn't" Artie spoke up."Let's be honest it'll probably have to come down to the second option because of the favoritism Mr.Shue has"

"Well good luck winning without me!" Rachel defended."Nel can take over as lead"

"Wait what?" Nellie gasped."Everyone is replaceable,even you."

"How could you do this to me?" Rachel asked."Nel? I thought we were friends!"

"Hey,I'm not the one who wants to kick you out.I'm just saying that dating Jessie isn't the best option."

"How could you do this to us? We're a team,and all you wanted was for us to be great,and be a part of something special.Now is that still true or not?"
