"These pieces look amazing, Y/n, but you really didn't have to do so many," your art teacher said, analysing all of your work.

"I know, I just... wanted to," you spoke, voice trailing off at the end.

"Okay, I'll have the site team come and pick everything up tonight. Hopefully, it should all be ready tomorrow morning to be displayed in the evening,"

"Great," you smiled, taking one last look at everything before heading off to a photography lecture.

-

Out of all of your classes, photography was the most fun. It was practical, interesting, and involved a lot of group work, so gave you a chance to talk to new people.

That particular lecture ended early because your teacher wasn't well, so you used the remaining time to go to the library.

One of the advantages of Wisteria's library was the tiny pod like rooms on the 3rd floor that accommodated up to 2 students and allowed them to work in peace with no distractions whatsoever.

They came in handy when you didn't want to atmosphere that came with the more open sector.

You took the lift to the third floor, clutching on to your laptop as you had an essay that you wanted to get done as soon as possible.

You brushed past the majority of them, going to your usual spot at the end. However, when you opened the door, someone was already there.

"Shit, I'm so sorry," You immediately turned to walk out, not realising who it was

"Y/n?"

That voice.

You pushed the door open again, and his blue eyes met yours.

The sound of your heartbeat grew prominent in your ears as he scanned the features of your face before inviting you to sit down.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to barge in on you like this,"

"I'm always free for you," he leant back in his chair, moving the pen between his fingers.

A smile crept up on your lips as you got out your laptop and began working. It was pretty much dead silence, with just the rustling of paper or the sound that came from typing filling the room.

"Y/n come look," he said, referring to his laptop.

You got out your chair and made your way to the other side of the desk.

His laptop revealed multiple photos he had taken and edited.

They were beautiful, to say the least.

You were slightly taken back back by how pristine and aesthetically pleasing they looked.

"Do you like them?"

"They're gorgeous..." your eyes followed the screen as Giyuu scrolled down some more.

"I'm glad you like them," he interlocked your fingers, giving them a gentle squeeze.

"What are you doing after this?" you asked.

"Not much? Why?"

"Come to the bookstore with me?"

He froze for a second before snaking his arms around you.

"That's the best thing you've ever said," he murmured against the hollow of your neck.

You let out a soft chuckle before running your fingers through his hair.

-

"This is the best thing we've ever done," Giyuu said as you both went from section to section, hands still interwined.

"Really? What about the arcade when you won me a massive cat plushie?"

"Close second,"

A playful sigh left your mouth as Giyuu dragged you to the art section.

You gently ran your fingers across the spines of the books in front of you until you found one that looked intriguing.

You briefly flicked through the pages, but put it back shortly after, slightly less interested after reading the blurb.

"Nothing caught your eye?" he asked, gaze catching yours.

You shook your head.

After making your way back downstairs and leaving the bookstore, Giyuu brought up the art show that was tomorrow.

"How are you feeling about it?" he squeezed your hand.

"Apprehensive, but I guess I'm excited, only 2 students per year got picked, so I'm glad I was chosen, to be honest I'm more worried about my dad than anything else,"

"I'm sure you'll be fine Y/n, let me know how it goes,"

The rest of the walk back to your dorm was talkative, as per usual. Giyuu talked about his classes were going for change. Since he was a year older, things were slightly harder in terms of the amount of work, but he seemed to be managing.

"I'm gonna be an emotional wreck by next year," you shook your head in despair.

"You'll be fine, I promise. It's not as hard as they make it sound,"

You finally approached your dorm building.

"Do you want me to go up with you?"

"It's okay, you don't have to," you reassured

"Okay," he said before pulling you into a hug.

After saying goodbye to the boy, you ran up the stairs and made your way back.

Mitsuri seemed to have something cooking.

"Y/n!!" she said, close to squealing as you entered the kitchen.

"Hey," you smiled, walking over to where the pot was boiling.

"Have you done the essay for art history?" she asked before sprinkling some seasoning over the food she was cooking.

"Yeah, I just finished it now," you plopped down on the couch.

"Did he say how many words it had to be? I fear I've done too much," she turned the cooker off and joined you  where you were sitting.

"I dont think he specified, but I did about 2500,"

She froze mid bite.

"I did 8000."

You froze as well.

"Oh."

The rest of the day was spent relaxing, finishing off a little homework, and mentally preparing yourself for tomorrow.
