"Mitsuri, have you seen my red bikini?" You called out, frantically racing around the house.

There were just two weeks left until the new academic year started.

And what better way to end your summer than spending 5 days at your best friends beach house?

Even Giyuu was coming.

You managed to find what you were looking for in the deepest, darkest depths of your wardrobe. It was a tiny bit dusty, but that wasn't anything you couldn't fix.

"Ready to go?" Mitsuri asked, standing by the door with her suitcase.

You nodded and did one last check to make sure all the lights were off before rolling your suitcase out the door.

Giyuu was waiting downstairs, fiddling with his car keys and scrolling on his phone as he did so.

His eyes lit up as you emerged from the lift.

"Hey," you smiled.

"Hi," he greeted you with a quick kiss on your cheek.

Tengen was driving a few people down in his own car, but Obanai offered to take Mitsuri, and Giyuu, of course, was taking you.

Giyuu even offered to carry your things to the car that was parked just outside campus, despite your emphasising that you'd be fine carrying everything yourself.

The day was pretty, calm, and peaceful. The late summer sun stood high, basking your figure with its warmth and the sunglasses Mitsuri had bought for you as a gift sat on  your head.

After putting everything in the boot of his car, Giyuu opened the car door for you, allowing you to comfortably plop down in the seat you knew all too well know.

You placed the iced coffee you had picked up in the cup holder, as Giyuu put the playlist you had created together one day on shuffle.

The window was ajar, allowing fresh air to ventilate the car, and it wasn't long before you were on the road.

"There's so many nature reserves and lakes on the way there," you said, reading a leaflet you had picked up when you stopped to stock up on water.

"We can stop by one or two if you'd like,"

"Giyuu, oh my god, they even have a petting zoo,"

He chuckled, eyes focused on the road.

"We can still stop by them on the way back, but if we keep stopping every ten minutes, we won't get to the beach until midnight,"

"Fair," you sighed before sipping the drink that was sat on your right.

-

"I can't believe I let you talk me into this," he shook his head, as you cuddled multiple bunnies.

"Isn't it worth it, look, how cute they are," you gushed before handing him one.

He looked at it awkwardly as it nibbled the ends of his hair.

"I guess they're kinda cute,"

"Exactly!" you exclaimed.

Twenty minutes later, you decided to head back on the road, and before you knew it, Giyuu was parking the car just outside the place.

"Y/n!!" Mitsuri greeted you as you and Giyuu approached everyone.

To say Tengen's beachouse was just big was an understatement. It was enormous.

"The rooms are all ensuite," Tengen began. "There's about ten bedrooms in total, all with double beds, so choose whichever one you'd like,"

"I beg we get the one that overlooks the sea," you grabbed onto his arm.

"Yes ma'am," he gave a single nod.

You ran up the stairs with a few of your bags as Giyuu took both his and yours suitcase up the stairs.

Immediately, you threw yourself against the mattress, taking in how soft it was.

You laid back and stared through the window that was on the ceiling, and Giyuu joined you shortly.

"I'm so tired," you brought a hand up to cover the yawn that escaped your lips.

"You can sleep for a bit if you'd like, I think the other's had planned to play  UNO, but I can let them know you're not up to it,"

You shook your head and sat up.

"Nuh, uh, I have to beat Tengen again,"

You flattened out your dress and ran a hand through your hair before Giyuu got up, and you both made your way back downstairs.

-

"uno," Giyuu spoke softly.

"HOW!?" Tengen exclaimed.

Your boyfriend just shrugged.

Sanemi placed a +4 down, to which you scowled and reluctantly picked up 4 cards.

"I win." Giyuu said as he placed his last card down.

"That's the 6th time in the past 2 hours, how the fuck," Sanemi grumbled.

You let out a gentle laugh before Giyuu smiled and made eye contact with you for merely a second.

Three more rounds of UNO later (in which Giyuu won every single time), everyone transferred their attention to outside.

It was still warm but not too warm, meaning no one had any issue in eating outside.

Tengen had actually offered to cook, which after actually tasting his cooking, you were certainly not against.

You and Mitsuri popped back inside to get drinks for everyone and help set the table, only to come out and find Giyuu and Sanemi and Obanai...not arguing?

For once, they were civil and seemed to be actually getting along.

Your heart inflated as they did so, and you finished setting out cutlery and glasses.

You pat his head as you walked behind him to place the last few plates down, to which he glanced up and smiled in response before continuing his conversation with Sanemi and Obanai.

"You should cook for us, Giyuu," Rengoku added from across the table. "I remember trying a few of your dishes in high school, and even then, they were delicious,"

Giyuu shifted his gaze to the table before letting out a slightly quiet and timid laugh.

"His cooking is AMAZING," you added.

"You flatter me, love,"

Grinning in response, Mitsuri walked in with a few plates.

"Starters!" she said before placing down a plate of grilled halloumi, olives, and bruschetta.

Tengen popped his head out for a second.

"Enjoy! I'll be out in like 5 minutes, I'm just finishing cooking the steaks,"

"Fuck these are amazing," you stated, popping a piece of halloumi in your mouth.

Minutes later, Tengen walked out with a plate of steaks, potato's, and other vegetables and placed them in the middle.

"Bon appetite," he said, before quickly going back inside the kitchen to turn the cooker off.

-

"Tengen I can't believe you're graduating next year," Mitsuri said.

"I can. Sometimes I wish I had done a 3 year art course like you and Y/n are doing rather than the 4 year one," he popped a bite of steak in his mouth.

"Is it that bad?" You asked.

"No, of course not, but I'm kinda ready to move on, you know?'

You nodded in understanding.

"Sanemi, have you thrown any chairs at Professor Himejima since that one time," Shinobu asked out of curiosity.

"Yes."

"..."

The rest of the meal lasted a good couple of hours. There was always so much to talk about, even more so with Giyuu around.

An hour after everyone had finished eating, Giyuu and Sanemi and Obanai took the empty plates back inside so they could load the dishwasher later, and Shinobu and Rengoku popped downstairs to the basement to pick up some ice cream from the freezer.

The sun eventually slowly began to set. Blends of orange, purple and yellow painted the sky, and a very gentle breeze ran through your hair. As your hair, as you finished eating the ice cream, Giyuu had scooped for you.

You and your friends ended up going a small work down the beach. You and Giyuu stood hand in hand, the waves gently hitting your ankles.

Mitsuri and Obanai stood a few feet ahead of you, and Tengen spent the majority of the walk winding Sanemi up, which eventually (despite his size) ended up with Tengen in the ocean.

"Hurry up, lovebirds!" Rengoku called out to you and Mitsuri, who had fallen quite a few paces behind.

Everyone ended up stopping by a volleyball net.

"Fancy a game?" You squeezed Giyuu's hand, still staring ahead.

"Bet," he responded.

You ran towards the net as Giyuu walked behind you.

He took his shirt off in one swift motion and threw it to the side before positioning himself on the other side of the net.

A few matches later, everyone turned back round to walk back to house.

"Are you having fun?" you asked Giyuu, as you trailed a few metres behind everyone.

"I am, actually,"

"I'm glad," you said before turning your head to watching the sun finally set.

You turned so you were facing Giyuu just before he tilted your chin and placed a long and gentle kiss to your lips.

"Shall we head back?"

"Sure," you smiled as your friends laughter and chatter grew more distance and the sun finally dipped along the horizon.
