"DIE." the white-haired boy yelled, grabbing the nearest pain au chocolat and almost throwing it at Tengen's head.

"PUT. THE PAIN AU CHOCOLAT. DOWN," you grabbed Sanemi's wrist and guided it back down to the table.

Tengen smiled teasingly and continued drinking the rather large cup of coffee in his hand.

You continued messing around with your friends for a while. It was the weekend, and no one seemed to have any plans.

"As punishment for throwing the croissants I bought at 4 in the morning, you're doing the dishes," You walked towards the sink and placed the plates down.

"Why were you awake at 4 in the fucking morning?" Sanemi asked, curiosity masking his face.

"I just woke up really early," you shrugged.

"So you decided to go outside and buy 15 croissants?"

You stared at him blankly for a second.

"There was nothing at home, and I knew you guys would be hungry, and Tomio- "

You cut yourself off.

"And someone I know recommended this place, so I figured I might as well,"

"How thoughtful," Tengen leaned back in his chair.

Your friends left hours later, leaving you and Mitsuri alone.

Mitsuri had a date with Obanai, so you took the opportunity to tidy up a little.

You cleaned, vacummed and dusted, until every nook and cranny of the dorm was squeaky clean.

Afterwards, you spent the next hour or so relaxing on the sofa. You responded to a few messages from your mother and caught up on some emails from your professors as well as a rather significant message that stated that the art show had been postponed again to almost April.

You sighed and let your phone fall in your lap before deciding to finish an essay for your art history class.

The library, as usual, was busy, but it was somewhat peaceful. Everyone seemed quite focused, so you had no issue with quietly getting on with your own work.

Even Rengoku and Shinobu joined you at one point.

But by the end of the day, despite it being the weekend, you were fairly bored.

You had no assignments or work to do, and now that the art showcase had been postponed, you didn't have to slave away at the art studio.

It was times like these, where you really started to miss Giyuu. But with the way everything had been between you recently, you were apprehensive to rekindle your relationship.

-

"Y/NNNN," Mitsuri voiced, shrieked as she almost threw herself on top of you.

You raised your head from the book you were reading.

"I have a small dance recital tommorow and was given two tickets and I saved one for you but then I bumped into Giyuu on the stairs and I gave the other one to him so now you two are sitting directly next to each..."

The pink haired girl continued to ramble.

You closed the book and gave her a slightly puzzled look as you attempted to digest everything.

"You aren't mad, are you?!"

"No, of course not! just a little surprised,"

She breathed a sigh of relief.

"Good! I was slightly scared you'd be mad because I know how things are between you,"

A nervous chuckle escaped your mouth.

"It's become a little more complicated recently,"

"How so?" she joined you on the sofa.

"I think I like him. Like really like him."

Her eyes grew wide, and she screamed from excitement and hugged you tight

"FINALLY, I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO REALISE!"

"Was it that obvious?"

"I mean, not super obvious, but the signs were there, and I feel like he likes you back,"

You brought your knees up to your chest. "Maybe..."

"My recital is the PERFECT chance to your rekindle your relationship, so make sure you even more gorgeous than you usually do,"

"You sure you can't ditch Obanai and get with me instead?" You flashed her a grin.

-

"Black or blue," you held up a square necked top to your chest.

"Blue," shinobu suggested, rummaging through your wardrobe for contrasting trousers.

You slipped on the outfit you and your friends had put together and admired yourself in the mirror.

"You look AMAZING," Mitsuri gushed.

You thanked her, finishing off your hair and make-up.

"What time does it start?"

"6:30, but I have to be there at 5, so I'm gonna head off soon," Mitsuri picked up her dance bag before turning to give Shinobu an apologetic "Sorry you couldn't make it Shino..."

"It's okay, I'm quite busy in the labs the next few days,"

-

Your friends left shortly, leaving you to your thoughts, and before you knew it, you were walking through Wisteria's dance hall.

It didn't take long to find your seat, and when you did, you had no trouble getting comfortable.

You had time to spare before the show actually started, so admired the humongous chandelier that hung from the ceiling and the tall marble pillars that stood around the edge of the building.

"Can I sit?" a familiar voice asked.

You whipped your head around to be met with Giyuu's figure.

"Yeah, sure..." You were close to stuttering.

He sat down, and he was so close that his hair was almost tickling your shoulder, and you could notice the rise and fall of his chest that came with his breathing.

"L/n," his voice was soft and tender, almost like cotton.

"Talk to me,"

Your breath hitched a little as you tried to understand what he meant.

"How have your classes been?" he chose to start the conversation.

"They've been okay. The art showcase was postponed again, so it gave me more time to work on my pieces, but my art teacher keeps asking me to change lots of things,"

"That's good to hear,"

He placed his hand on top of yours.

"I don't want us to go weeks without speaking again, L/n. I want to move forward,"

"Okay," you gave him a soft smile.

"Talk to me if you're unhappy, okay? And I'll do the same, I don't want months of work to unravel just because of a silly miscommunication or misunderstanding,"

You agreed once more before it went silent, just for a moment.

"Oh and L/n... she's not my girlfriend,"
