Chris' POV:
I was in my hotel room, getting ready for my date with Sophia. We were texting right now, trying to come up with any good excuses as to why we're both leaving together and not coming back till later.
Once I was done getting dressed in the best option I had in hand from the clothes I packed for the tour, I went to my bed. I knocked twice on the wall to tell Sophia that I was ready to leave. She knocked back twice too. I made my way to the door, and before I opened it, I took a deep breath. "You can do this, Chris," I told myself.
I opened the door to find Sophia standing there looking absolutely beautiful. She had a black corset top, a black skirt, and knee-high black boots. How the hell was she looking this good with clothes she packed for the tour?
When I didn't speak for thirty good seconds, she looked over herself. "Is something wrong? Oh god, did I dress up too much? I can go back and change," she said while pointing to the door and already opening it.
Luckily, I grabbed her wrist to stop her. To me, it was simply crazy that she could doubt that she looked good when she looked this amazing. "Don't you dare change; you look beautiful," I said, and I saw her blushing.
I leaned down and kissed her. She kissed me back with equal enthusiasm. All that went through my head was the thought of how lucky I was to actually be able to kiss her now.
Her lips tasted exactly how I thought they would. They tasted like the cherry lip balm she always had on. I took her hand. "Give me a little twirl," I asked as I held her hand above her head. She gave the cutest twirl I'd ever seen. God, this girl made me crazy.
"Beautiful," I whispered without even noticing. I shook my head out of my thoughts and grabbed her hand, walking to the lounge of the hotel. We were talking while walking, and she was telling me how excited she was to go on this date with me. She had no idea how excited I was as well.
We got to the lounge, and we saw everybody in our friend group sitting on the couch watching TV. Nick and Madeleine were sharing a bag of chips, while Matt had his arm around Sasha.
Nova and Aurora were looking at their phones and showing each other some funny things. They were both cracking up. Sophia and I let each other's hands go before anyone saw.
I cleared my throat, and they all looked up. Everyone's jaw fell to the floor. All of the girls stood up, walking over to Sophia, gasping and twirling Sophia around just like I had done.
Sophia was overwhelmed by thousands of "Oh my god, you look so good, girl! Where did you get those boots from? Your hair looks amazing! Your makeup is flawless! Slayed! Goddess!" So many compliments that I couldn't keep up.
I looked down at my black denim jacket and light blue jeans with a frown. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at Matt. "Don't worry, bruh, you look good too," he said while Nick nodded excitedly.
"Thanks, dude," I said while I tried to pass through the ocean of girls, surrounding my girl and overwhelming her with compliments. Once I was close enough, I grabbed her hand through the bodies of her friends, trying not to touch anyone else.
When she felt my hand in hers, I could see her look around frantically trying to find me. "I'm here," I said while I held my hand over my head. I could see her let out a breath when she saw me.
I was trying to tell her that we had to get going, but she couldn't hear me over her friends. "GIRLS, LET HIM THROUGH!" she yelled, trying to get me closer to her. Her friends opened a little hole in their circle to let me get to Sophia.
I looked around warily. "We need to go," I said, widening my eyes, trying to get her to understand me. She nodded, indicating that she got it. She grabbed her purse from Madeleine, trying to get away.
I soon fell into step next to her, thinking that we'd gotten out of this one with zero explanation when I heard someone yell stop from behind us. We both halted in our step, looking back over our shoulder while holding a little eye contact.
"Where do you think you're going?" Sasha was asking us, her arms crossed, while everyone else was questioning it too. That's what happens when you celebrate too soon.
I looked over at Sophia, and she looked back. I leaned closer to her ear. "Should we tell them?" I whispered to her, and when I pulled back, I saw her shrugging her shoulders while biting her lip.
I could see that she was nervous, so I decided to make the first step. I grabbed her hand, interlacing our fingers, and I could see their jaws all drop. One after another. "We're going on a date," I said, and no one spoke up for three whole minutes.
"And you guys better not say anything, because we're leaving soon," Sophia was now the one to speak, and Madeleine responded hastily. "Go then, babes, what are you waiting for? Missing your reservation or something?" She said while shooing us away with a weird hand movement.
Sophia was smiling very brightly. "Bye babes, see you later!!" She yelled while waving at them with the hand that was not in mine. "Bye dudes," I yelled at Nick and Matt, and before we left the hotel, I still caught them rolling their eyes.
"Sooo, I don't know if this is a good time to say that I didn't make a reservation at the restaurant," I said to her, my heart already starting to beat faster by being alone with her.
I wanted to get a reaction out of her because I had something way better planned, but she gave me nothing except a sweet smile and a "that's okay."
I didn't think that I could like Sophia any more, but every time she did something like this, it made my heart flutter in ways no one else has been able to do. It made me fall for her more and more.
I looked at her with a surprised look, leaning down to peck her lips. "I'm kidding, Soph. The restaurant was never my first choice. I have a plan," I said while walking with her to the car and opening the trunk.
From there, I took out a picnic blanket and a picnic basket, which was filled with lots of Sophia's favorite foods and sweets. I put them on the floor while walking over to the driver's seat and taking something out from there.
I hid it behind my back as I walked up to her. She looked at me with the most confused look I'd ever seen. I pulled them out from behind my bag, and both her hands flew to cover her mouth. She looked up at me, and I could see the tears starting to form in her eyes.
"I love white roses," she whispered, her voice cracking mid-sentence. I extended them for her to take, but instead, she jumped up and kissed my lips. My arms automatically found their way around her waist while I picked her up and twirled her around.
"I know. They're your favorites," I said while I grabbed her head. She nodded. I let her back onto the floor, while she took the flowers.
We started walking to the place I'd chosen to make the picnic. We were walking hand in hand through the city, not knowing that all the eyes were on us.
