SOPHIA'S POV

I was in a deep and peaceful slumber. My head was laying on a hard yet warm surface and I could hear clear as day, someone calling my name quietly, so I slowly opened my eyes, and looked up to find the most beautiful view I'd ever seen.

I find Chris, looking at my through his sleepy eyes. His lids were almost completely closed and his hair was all trousled. I so badly wanted to run my fingers through it, feeling very bold, I reached up and started combing his hair with my fingers, and at this, Chris' eyes closed completely.

A smile spread over my lips. His hair was so soft that I found myself wishing to always wake up like this. I didn't dare stop running my hand through his hair until I was satisfied with how it looked. When it looked good, I put my hand back down.

At the loss of my touch, Chris reopened his eyes, his lips were stretching all over his face, a smile so bright that made me want to stay here with him for rest of eternity. "I could get used to this. You give me such a special treatment Soph, I'm honored" He told me.

I laughed at his words. He was so perfect. I'd just woken up and I already felt like my day had been perfect. It felt like nothing could change that. "Don't get too used to it or else you'll never see daylight again" I said while I pointed my finger at him in a threatening manner, to which he put both his hands up.

I was about to get up, but Chris pulled me back swiftly, and my back hit the mattress. I gazed at him and I could see worry plastered all over his face. "Are you crazy?, you could've hitten you pretty face on the top of the bed, idiot" He said, but now he was giggling.

I raised my eyebrows. "Wow Chris, what happened to goodmornings and everything? You just straight up called me an idiot and crazy in the same sentence" I told him while I slapped his arm.

He leaned down slowly and pecken my forhead softly. again. "Goodmorning Soph." He whispered to me and my heart was doing backflips already and it was still so early in the morning. "Morning Chris" I answered with a silly tone.

"Is it not a good morning? Today is the big day b! You're going to perform infront of thousands of people, aren't you excited??" Chris said excitedly, clapping his hands, while he climbed down of the bunk.

He was now standing on the floor looking up at me and I was laid on my belly, on his bed, swinging my feet back and forth, looking down the edge at Chris. I knew that he was trying to be supportive, but I couldn't help but feel shivers run down my back when he said that.

I also couldn't help but imagine me getting on stage and them all just booing me off of it again.

By the way Chris' face changed I could very well tell that he'd noticed that I was scared. To reassure me, Chris grabbed my hand. " Don't worry Soph, they're going to love you" He said and suddenly but not surprisingly, all my worries disappeared.

That was just something Chris did all the time. He was the only one that had something about the way he said things. He just spoke them in such a real way, that you didn't even really need to question them. You just believed him, because you knew that Chris never lied.

I smiled at him, and started making my way out of the bunk too. Once my bare feet touched the ground I simply took a deep breath. "Okay" I told him.

I went to put my slippers on and climbed out of the tour bus, where Nick and Matt were waiting. They were deep into a conversation because Nick's brows were very furrowed, and from where I was standing I could see them almost touching his nose.

Once they heard my feet drag on the pavement, they looked at me."FINALLY, took you guys ages" Nick yelled and his gaze trailed to look over my shoulder at Chris, who was trailing behind me. I rolled my eyes, Nick was such a drama queen.

Chris kept laughing, while walking by me and slightly bumping his shoulder into mine, clearly on purpose, but he kept on walking. "You don't know how hard it was to wake that girl up, she's worse than sleeping beauty" He said and only then did he look over his shoulder at me. His words having a different meaning to us.

There was no way I would take that hit and not hit back. "You snore" I suddenly spoke up and all three of them stopped in their tracks. Chris span around like the flash and walked towards me. Matt and Nick stood still, looking at us while having a full on laugh.

"I don't snore" He said while looking at me and I only shrugged my shoulders. "Sure you don't big boy" I said while patting his shoulder and making my way to Nick and Matt. I threw both my arms over their shoulders. "So where are we going to eat breakfast" I said and both giggled.

Unbeknownst to me, Chris was watching my every move, with a small smile on his face and a look of love in his eyes.

LATER...

I was pacing back and forth, struggling to breathe. My whole body was shaking and it felt like my legs were going to give out on me again, so I sat down.

My leg was shaking up and down on its own now and I kept biting my fingernails, trying to calm myself down. And the second I felt myself really calming down a little bit, I heard the manager call out : "SOPHIA, you're on in five minutes." and that's when all hell bent loose.

I shot to my feet, with such high speed, that I almost tumbled forward. Luckily, I was able to catch myself before I actually fell.

I was so stressed that my breathing rhythm kept going crazy. I was almost breathing every half a second, and even so I couldn't feel any of that oxygen fill my lungs, instead, it just immediately left my body again.

The manager came up to me, seeing me in distress, he was waving his hands infront my face, as if he could get more oxygen into my lungs but instead all he could see, was the desperate look in my eyes.

He kept calling my name but I couldn't focus on saying anything else than what I felt was the right thing to say in the moment. "I need Chris" I said, completely out of breath. He helped me sit down and I all I could hear was the beating of my heart in my eardrums.

"SOMEONE GET CHRIS HERE, FAST" He yelled through the room. I looked around trying to identify anything through my blurry vision, but I could only see shadows of people suffling around, trying to find the person I needed most right now.

My vision was almost giving out when I saw Chris walking very quickly towards me and he looked worried to death. I wanted to stand up, and go hug him, but I knew that I was going to fall as soon as I got up, luckily I was even more sure that Chris would be there to catch me.

So I got up anyway and I only took three steps before I swung my arms around Chris and he caught me, just like I knew he would. And suddenly I felt like I could breathe again. He was hugging me very tight. His fingers gripping the edge of my body and by his breath ringing in my ear, I could tell that he was also startled.

"Never do this to me again. You scared me to death" He told me, a serious tone laced his voice when he spoke to me, but he didn't dare pull back, he just kept holding me as if I would slip away if he let me go.

I could feel my breathing get back to normal just by having him close to me. I knew that there wasn't anything I could say that could show him how thankful I was for his hug right now.

I hugged him tighter. "Thank you so much Chris, you have no clue how much I needed you right now" I said with a small laugh.

This time he pulled back. "I told you, I'd drop anything for you." He said and by the look on his face I could tell that he had a lot of questions about what just happened, but he didn't ask them.

He simply grabbed both my hands, holding them and swinging them back and forth between us. "I don't know what happened, and I'm not going to pressure you into telling me. I just want you to go up there and rock the fucking crowds like I know you're capable of." He said while tilting his head. Like always I didn't question his words at all.

I nodded frantically. "You're going to be here right?" I asked him hoping for a big yes. He looked at me funny.

"Of course I am Soph, where else would I be when you're performing. I'm going to be right there" He said, while pointing at the left side of the stage. It was a hidden place where he could see me and I could see him, but the fans wouldn't.

I wanted to respond, but the manager was already talking to me. "I hope you're ready, because you're on" He said while pointing at the closed curtains. I could hear the crowd yelling behind them.

I looked at Chris and he gave me a confident nod, so I nodded at the manager aswell. I let go of Chris' hands, feeling myself missing them already. Nonetheless I walked up to the curtains, microphone in my hand. Confidence in my mind and Chris in my heart.
