📍UNKNOWN ACTIVE VOLCANO, INDIAN OCEAN
°-•- ☼ -•-°
With an encouraging speech from Thena, the plan to resume on stopping emergence was back on the table. Phastos came up with an idea of using the sphere to activate the Uni-Mind, the remaining of the group walked up to their respective places near the wall to start the plan.
You stood with your back to the wall; Golden circles and lines encased your body, slowly conjuring your cream white armour with a few details. You placed your hand over your heart to let the bracelets snap around your wrist wile others did the same.
Sprite and Ikaris were already at the point of Emergence, protecting it. They looked up and saw the Domo approaching through the clouds, thinking they were all there. Thena was the one that offered to stay behind and distract Ikaris for a while until they figured out a plan.
Makkari helped the others cross through the ground until they stopped to look at the volcano, which was letting out smoke through the top, indicating the beginning of Emergence.
"It's time to put a god to sleep," Sersi nodded in determination.
You clicked her bracelet and the others did too, causing it to slightly hover over her wrist and spin rapidly while a gold outline formed all around her body, making her levitate. The same happened to Makkari, Sersi, and, Druig, who were on her sides, and the gold lines connected in the middle and form an enormous glow in between.
Few seconds later, another glowing outline connected to the top, which supposedly belonged to Thena from the inside of the ship. This gave Druig the ability to form a gold dome around the four of you in the ground.
A beam of energy shot from Ikaris's eyes and hit Druig in the back, knocking him forward and breaking the connection.
Ikaris reached towards Druig, catching him by the throat, "I should've done this five centuries ago," he sneered and took off into the air with him.
You, Sersi, and Makkari watched hopelessly as Ikaris tossed Druig back to the ground before firing another laser beam directly into his chest, burying him into the molten earth. You couldn't hold back the scream that ripped out of your throat as Druig struggled to fight back but in vain.
The Domo approached at high speed; Ikaris flew towards it and in no time he burned through the top and bottom of the ship with his energy beams, causing it to lose altitude abruptly and collapse close to the ground.
Makkari moved you and Sersi just in time, and then rushed to the Domo to get Thena and Phastos to safety.
Noticing your unshed tears, Thena strode over to you at once in worry; your right hand at your side had wisps of energy coursing over it.
Ikaris landed don't he ground softly and everyone turned towards him to glare, "Druig's gone," he declared, "It's over."
Rage filling your mind, you sent a glowing dagger at Ikaris and charged at him, both of you going flying backward across the seashore as Ikaris tried to fly away from you. The others watched you with tinges of awe, they'd never seen anyone hold Ikaris down.
You kneed him back to Earth, causing the land behind to crack from your force. The rage inside your chest bubbled, threatening to spill over. Maybe now was the time to let it all out. First, it was Ajak, then Gilgamesh, and now Druig. Both were Ikaris's fault.
Ikaris tried to fire a laser at you, but you deflected it back at him. Makkari sprinted to your aid; she caught the side of his head and dragged him along with her as she ran the length of the shore. She kept running back at him with her powers to deliver multiple hits and blows to knock him back.
Frustrated, Ikaris grabbed her throat, just before she could charge at him, "Enough," he growled, before tossing her to the side like a ragdoll and firing a beam at her chest. Makkari's face stretched in a silent scream as she held her injury.
"Makkari!" you yelled her name as you watched this. Now, more enraged, summoning a staff you charged at Ikaris and started to attack him, using the weapon to deflect the beams he sent at you.
You had him pinned against the land behind after hurling a dagger at him. You leaped with your weapon in your hand to stab him. The world seemed to blur out, the only thing you could feel was the white-hot burning rage.
"Y/N, Stop it!" Ikaris hollered as he rolled over to dodge your attack, and you landed in the place he previously had been, "You know I'm doing this for all of us,"
"You're doing this for yourself, you demented asshole," you growled, shifting your staff into a sword with a flick of your hand.
You and Ikaris turned towards the volcano when you both heard the strange sound of electricity crackling and how several rocks where crashing down towards the ground with intense speed.
Ikaris took his distraction and fired a beam at your chest; you held up your sword, enough to deflect, but you skid back in your place.
Phastos used his gadgets to fire several blasts from them; Thena summoned her shield to block the energy beam that Ikaris was firing at her and you rushed to help up Makkari; all of you oblivious to the Deviant that had risen from the shore.
"You should've known better Ikaris," Phastos grunted, hurling more and more at the man.
Makkari rushed from her place, sprinting around to punch Ikaris across the face.
Thena stepped forward and kicked him back to a rock. She jumped in the air and raised her sword to slash him, but Ikaris moved out of the way with a yell, "Thena, stop!"
Ikaris caught her around the middle and shoulder and tossed her aside; Makkari caught her just in time and set her on the ground. He didn't back down and fired his energy beam again; Thena was on her knees and raised her shield to block it while Phastos extended his arms to let his gadgets fly free around Ikaris.
Ikaris rose into the air, shooting down each and every one of those blasts. He was about to shoot at Phastos, but Makkari ran towards him again and skidded to a stop to make the sand jump up.
You and Thena leaped into the air together and hit him back with your identical spears.
Before Ikaris could fall back, the Deviant from earlier jumped in and punched him square in the face. Both went rolling in the sad and the creature stood in its full height and growled, running up to Ikaris but Phastos blasted it back.
"Why are you helping Ikaris?" Thena questioned as she twirled her sword in her hand.
"We can't let it absorb our powers," Phastos remarked.
Smirking, the Deviant formed a fist with one of its hands, and an exoskeleton glove golden glove appeared around its hand the same way it had with Gilgamesh, "Too late,"
At this, you and Thena straightened, the determined glare on your faces making you both look identically dangerous.
Phastos noticed this, " Y/N, Thena, he's trying to goad you. Don't—"
Makkari rushed up to the Deviant and ran in a circle around it, making the sand rise and create a tornado around the creature, giving you and Thena time to summon your weapons and approach it.
Enraged, Deviant stomped hard on the ground with all its strength, which knocked you, Thena Makkari, back to the ground.
The Deviant approached Makkari, seeing that she was the closest.
You kneed the creature away before it could get too close to your best friend and pinned to the ground with multiple knives.
It tried to punch you away, but you barely budged. Summoning a sword, you raised it to drive it into it; Long tubes came out of his back attempting and pierced into yours to absorb your powers.
"Y/N!" Phastos cried out.
Horrified, Makkari ran and caught you, snatching you away from the Deviant's hold while Phastos fired his weapon at the creature, throwing it back into a cave.
Thena slowly made her way towards the cave with her sword and shield in hand, ready to get her revenge by slaughtering that Deviant.
Ikaris stood up, and turned to Phastos, "Where's Sersi?"
"You always did underestimate her," Phastos replied.
His eyes widened at this and tried to fly away towards the direction of the volcano, where he thought that Sersi was.
"Oh, no. Not so fast," Phastos extended a hand and a device with a rope and it wrapped itself around Ikaris's ankles and restrained him from flying away. He tugged on it to pull Ikaris back to the sand with a thud, "Boss,"
Ikaris was pinned down to the ground by several other devices identical to the one around his ankles, pulling him by the wrists, shoulders, and neck as he attempted to break free. He tried to shoot an energy beam, but Phastos's trap didn't let him do so.
"I don't know about you, but this is really satisfying, right?" Phastos grinned, raising his arms at his sides.
"Let me go, Phastos!" Ikaris grunted, tugging at the restraints, "I can't let her do this!"
"I don't think so," Phastos shook his head defiantly, "I've been wanting to clip your wings for a long time, Ikaris!"
