"Ben!" Rowan yelled. Ben did not answer as her voice came back to her. The farther they went, the taller the branches of the trees became. Rowan let out a groan and carried on.
"Dude, please come here," Carlos gave a clap. Dude bounded back to him.
A cluster of berries obstructed Gil's path, drawing his gaze towards it. "These things grow everywhere," he said, taking a berry and popping it into his mouth from the bush.
"Hey, let's play that game to break the ice. Jay, I kind of like how you can jump off things and bounce around. Oh, and you have really lovely hair, Rowan," he said. "These are free right?"
"Thank you, Gil. I would use caution when consuming berries that you are unsure of." Moving forward, she said.
Jay walked over and chuckled, "Yeah, um, I like how you get a kick out of a berry bush."
"I guess you've probably seen everything by now, huh? Furry rocks, giant fish. You're probably used to grabbing lunch off a bush," Gil sadly smiled, Rowan couldn't help but feel bad.
Jay plucked bushes alongside Gil, "Um, no, not really. I mainly use the vending machines at practice. You know, tourney. Kinda eats up most of my time."
"Tourney?" Harry laughed, uncontrollably.
"That's a wee boy's game."
Gil pat Jay's chest, "Hey, you know what would be fun? To go rafting on the jungle river."
The boys got to talking about their upcoming travels. Rowan leant against the tree, thinking that she would be useful if they end up poisoned by the berries they choose to eat.
"P.S. your mutt went that way," harry told Carlos, watching as he chased after the dog while yelling his name.
Gil and Jay followed him right away, Rowan trailing behind. Though she made every effort to avoid looking at him, he couldn't help but stare at the princess whenever he had the chance. When they finally caught up with them, a loud raw startled them, Harry extended his arm pulling Rowan behind him.
Harry defended himself and the girl behind him by swinging his hand holding his hook at the beast as it charged at them once again. As Jay drew Harry and Rowan nearer to himself, the beast gave them a strange expression.
"You need some serious nose adjustments"
Harry shouted at the beast.
"Ben? Did Audrey do this?" Carlos shouted at the beast.
"Huh i thought i recognised this pants" Jay mused.
"Guys, look, he's injured his hand." From behind Harry, Rowan gestured.
"Aw, he's got a boo-boo, that's why he's so cranky." Gil said as he looked at Ben. "You know my dad said that his dad did not handle pain well at all"
Jay told Carlos, "You're good with animals, do something," even though it appeared like the last thing Carlos wanted to do was approach Ben.
"I'll do it, I'm good at helping people or animals with injuries." She said, making her way up towards Ben only for someone to grab her wrist.
"If he hurts you, I'll hook himโregardless of whether he's a king or not." said Harry, She simply gave him a smile and shook her head.
"It's Ben, even if he does hurt me, it won't be his fault." She said, releasing her wrist from his hold, and approached Ben cautiously.
"Ben, it's Rowan." She watched as he hissed at her while speaking slowly. "Don't worry, I'm here to support you. Simply relax and go slowly. Ben knelt down in front of her slowly, and the boys stared in awe, she said. "All right, I'll take out the splinter now.Just maintain your composure."
"All right, I'll start counting down from three." She went on her knees and told him. putting her hand in his."Okay, three, two, one." Ben shouted as Rowan yanked out the splinter with lightning speed.
Jane, a water pump in her hands, slipped up behind the boys. She sprayed Ben in the middle of his face, aiming high. He snarled at the approaching water as a ring of blue sparkles appeared around him. As Jane's water supply ran low, the pressure in the water dropped.
Ben spat out the water and fell to the floor. Before he dropped to his knees, Jay and Rowan moved to catch him. Ben encircled both of their shoulders with his arms. "You good?" inquired Jay.
"Yeah." Ben groaned.
"Take a seat right there." Ben was helped to sit on the rock by Rowan and Jay. "There you go."
"Oh, that was... funky." Ben laughed slightly.
"May I ?" When Rowan questioned, Ben just held out his palm and she saw a cut on it. She put her palm on his and began humming a little.
"What is she doing?" As they saw the girl with blonde hair, Jay answered Harry's question by shushing him. She removed her hand from his and saw that the scrape had vanished.
Ben touched his teeth and felt about his face, saying, "Oh, wow." He shared Jay's laughter.
Jane remarked, "You need another blast." Ben attempted to object, but she sprayed him with the last of her water pumper's water.
He spit the water out of his mouth. Ben wiped his face, "Please stop."
As she gives the girl an embrace, Rowan says, "Happy birthday, Jane." Disregarding the girl's drenched head to toe.
"Hold on," Ben said as he quickly stood up. "Whose side are they on?" he asked, pointing to Harry and Gil.
"They escaped and joined us. Mal has the ember, which is our only hope to stop Audrey, details to follow." Jay patted Ben on the shoulder.
"Hades' ember? Has Mal gone back to the Isle?" Ben inquired, looking at them all confused.
"I said "Details to follow," we're meeting up Mal, Evie and Uma, let's go."
"Uma!?"
"Details to follow." They all yelled at him.
"Hey, Jay, um...Yeah, thanks for saving me gorgeous face."At Harry's remarks, Rowan couldn't help but chuckle a little and walked past the two of them.
A smile stretched across Harry's face as he noticed her little laugh. Appreciating that he could make her laugh.

Author's notes
We got more of Harry and Rowan, I decided to make Rowan be the one who took the splinter out and I'm gonna stick by that decision because why not.
