( S3E12 ) "girl meets bear"

Valentina POV

( 32 weeks pregnant )

𝑱𝑶𝑺𝑯 and I walk into the Matthews Apartment. Josh is carrying his sack of clothes because for some reason he doesn't feel like using our washing machine.

"Hey, family! Don't try to pressure us into staying for dinner. We're just here to do my laundry." Josh said

Cory and Topanga walk over to us.

"That's right. That's a thing now. I do my laundry here. Did you know? 'Cause now you know." Josh said 

"My brother!" Cory said

"My laundry!" Josh said

He throws his sack at Cory, who catches it.

"His laundry!" Cory said

He throws the sack at Topanga, who lets it his the floor. Cory looks over at Topanga and screams.

"I'm sorry. I lost my mind." Cory said

Topanga nods, and Cory picks up the sack and starts backing up.

"I will just take these to the creek and I will wash them myself." Cory said

He runs away.

"What's everybody doing?" I asked

I notice the mess.

"Who's here?" I asked

"Maya." Maya said

I look over at the door and see Maya sitting behind it. Josh goes over and helps her up.

"We're looking for Riley's lost teddy." Topanga said

"Barry-the-Bear Bear? She's had that thing forever. You lost it?" Josh asked

I see Riley come into the room with Lucas behind her.

"Yeah, but I think I'm ready to call Barry officially lost and head out for tacos." Riley said

"No. Really?" Maya asked

"No. No, no giving up." Josh said

"Yes, give up. Yes." Maya said

"No, it's important we find it." Josh said

"Why?" Riley asked

I hear footsteps and see Auggie.

"Auntie Vale! Uncle Josh!" Auggie exclaimed

"Mr. Auggie." Josh said

Auggie goes over to us and hugs us.

"How's college?" Auggie asked

"Oh, dude, you kidding? Dude, you kidding? Dude, the people, the parties, you kidding, dude?" Josh asked

"You want to stay here tonight?" Topanga asked

"Just a night? How about forever?" Josh asked

"Babe." I said

I hit his arm.

"Has it been a rough adjustment?" Farkle asked

"It was a rough adjustment for us in high school." Maya said

"What about college?" Zay asked

"You think you're ready. You think you're ready." Josh said

"What's the matter, honey?" I asked

"I wasn't ready! It's hard. I wasn't ready. How did this happen to me? I'll tell you how it happened. I grew up. You know what I know? High school is you last stop before you grow up. So, you don't give up on that teddy bear. You hang on tight. You find that bear. You understand what's important, Riley?" Josh asked

"Yeah, I think I do. Lucas?" Riley asked

"After you." Lucas said

We all start looking for the teddy bear.

Later, everyone is still looking while I am taking a break. Josh comes and sits next to me on the couch.

"We looked everywhere. We can't find it." Josh said

"I didn't think you would." I said

"Why not?" Josh asked

"Because I have a really strong feeling that it's supposed to be gone." I said

"Where?" Josh asked

"Wherever these things go." I said

Josh smiles at me and I smile back.

"How are we gonna tell Riley?" Farkle asked

"Hey, where is Riley?" Cory asked

"She and Lucas were looking together." Topanga said

Cory gets a scared look on his face.

"Riley!" Cory exclaimed

Riley and Lucas walk into the room.

"Yes?" Riley asked

"Where have you guys been? We haven't seen you in a half an hour." Zay said

"An hour." Maya said

"Half an hour." Zay corrected

"I don't get it!" Maya exclaimed

"Riley found what we needed to find." Lucas said

"Yeah. Lucas and I found out that we were looking in the wrong place, so then we looked in the right place." Riley said

"You found the bear?" Farkle asked

"No. You find the bear?" Riley asked

"No. Sorry." Farkle said

"Remember when Auggie wanted to give up Mr. Googly and grow up?" Maya asked

"But then I didn't. I wasn't ready." Auggie said

"Yeah. Good for you." Maya said

She rubs Auggie's shoulder.

"But at some point, I think we are ready." Maya said

"How do we know when that is, Maya?" Auggie asked

"I think something inside us tells us. I think it actually comes to tell us." Maya said

Maya walks over to Riley.

"Riles... I don't want to let you down, but I... think your bear is gone." Maya said

"Yeah. I don't want to let you down either." Riley said

Lucas walks out of the room and comes back with taco bags.

"So, we got you this!" Riley said

Lucas makes the horn sound from the taco place. 

"Tacos!" Cory and Maya exclaimed

Lucas takes one bag over to the table and we all go over to him. While Riley grabs the other bag and goes over to the couch with Maya.

"So, Riley, we're not gonna keep looking for the bear?" Auggie asked

"He knew it was time to go." Riley said

"He knew that you didn't need him anymore." Lucas said

He walks over to Maya and Riley.

"So, he waited till you were asleep and kissed your eyelashes goodbye." Maya said

Zay and Farkle walk over.

"Grabbed his tiny travel hat and his little suitcase and he thanked you for your years together. And he told me to tell you he forgave you for eating one of his cookies." Zay said

"Then he hopped out the bay window and got on the G train to Beartown." Farkle said

"I think that's exactly what happened." Maya said

"Thank you, everybody." Riley said

"That's what we're here for." Lucas said

Riley gets up and walks over to Auggie.

"Hey, Auggie?" Riley called

"Yeah?" Auggie asked

"It's a great story that you chewed his face off because you wanted to hang out with me and Maya. Never lose that, okay?" Riley said

"Okay. Can we hang out?" Auggie asked

"No. Get out of here." Maya said

"You know what? I think it's time we got out of here." Josh said

"What happened to forever? I'll get your laundry." Topanga said

"Josh, Vale, you can stay here as long as you'd like." Cory said

"I know. Thank you." Josh said

"I love you guys and baby boy does too." I said

"We love you too, Aunt Tina." Riley said

Josh grabs his laundry from Topanga and we head back to our apartment.
