He laughs a little bit more, until it starts fading and he frowns instead. He feels a sob bubbling at the base of his throat, and Sunhee moves to take him into her arms before he can even think of doing it. “Sorry. I’m sorry for being so dramatic,” he whispers into her shoulder. “I just want—why is he acting like this?”

“I don’t know, love” Sunhee hums. “But we’ll figure it out, yeah?"

He doesn’t say anything in return, but he detaches himself from her hold and shoves all his overflowing emotions into a tiny, tiny box, and he locks it tight. Everything is wiped clean from his face and that’s when Sunhee knows it's time to back off, although she doesn’t particularly look like she likes it.

He faces the others, and he’s not at all surprised to see that Halima is the only one of them left, he’s, however, surprised to see that no one in the vicinity is paying them any attention. Halima smiles at him as if reading his thoughts. “Disillusionment charm,” she explains simply, then she waves her wand to undo the spell.

He clears his throat when an awkward silence settles over them. “We should leave,” he says to them. Sunhee says nothing and presses her lips into a thin line, while Halima nods slowly.

“I’ll go pay.” She stands up to go and so after announcing that.

None of them talk about it on their trek back to the castle.

I went a bit feral when writing this chapter, because I was listening to classical music, but also family line and a bit of church by chase Atlantic, so, I apologise.

For those who didn't read the part is marked, Rain experienced a panic attack, but sunhee helped him get through it!
