The chill wind blew making leaves rustle gently and it added up to the morning aesthetic. It was the right vibe to drink coffee or take a walk.

You and Kiyoomi walked towards the school. You mentioned that you wouldn't be able to see him practice but Kiyoomi really didn't mind. Kiyoomi also brought up the fact that his mother can't stop talking about you.

The walk only takes up to 10 minutes. But it somehow felt quicker as you two talk about anything and everything.

He thought that it was going well until you reached school.

"I told Keiji about us and he was so happy."

You have just step foot inside the school when you said that. He stopped in his tracks and so did you since your arms are linked.

"Really?" He was suspicious that that man didn't like you if you two text regularly. Not to mention, you two were close enough that it actually spread a rumor that you're dating him. You were too likeable.

It was what pushed him from the start to make a move to get closer. The source of the rumor is unclear but he bet it's your friend who somehow mentioned it and others just twisted and/or assumed stuff off of it. You may not be popular but you were known enough among second years โ€” as the kind and supporting student of your class โ€” to be a small topic of conversation. Your class is already popular enough due to the attractive germaphobe and the pretty and friendly libero that they kind of brought your class more attention.

"Yep! I kind of told him a lot about you that when I told him that we're together, he was so happy."

You glanced at him and you saw his brows furrowed. After blinking for a few seconds, you grinned. "Were you about to be jealous just now?"

He looked away.

Small laughter escaped from your lips. "Kiyoomi, I kinda don't want to tell you that you don't have to be jealous anymore because you look so cute when you do."

He glared at your teasing tone.

"Well, I'm off to the classroom now. Have fun with your practice!" You unlinked your arms together and faced him.

It was still quiet. Few students arriving at the school but not much. When you thought about having a boyfriend before, you actually thought you wouldn't mind PDA. However, the man you're with is popular. You knew you need to watch out for his fans, you don't want to end up with those main characters in romance novels and shows where they get hurt.

As you looked around, Kiyoomi was glaring at you. He wondered just how were you able to make him illogical, he knew he shouldn 't be jealous. Never did he ever expect himself to be this clingy with someone. In conclusion, his glare was because of confusion.

When you looked back at him, you tired your head a bit to the right. "Why are you mad?"

"I'm not mad."

You frowned, "Well, you don't look happy."

"Sanitizers," you quickly and rather randomly asked him. Quickly pulling it out of his pocket, he poured enough on your hands that was already in front of him.

After that confusing moment, you brought your hands up and squeezed his cheeks. "C'mon, smile, Kiyoomi."

He glared at you even more, "You're being silly," he said. "How can I smile with what you're doing?"

Chuckling, you let go of his cheeks. He smiled at you and paid you back for squeezing his cheeks by squeezing yours too.

"You lowkey look prettier."

It was your turn to glare.

He laughed a bit before letting go, "I'm kidding, of course."

"So, I'm pretty, right?"

"Yeah."

"Aww, say it!"

"I'm late for practice."

He tapped your shoulders before walking away. You weren't really disappointed since overall, it was a cute moment. You really felt like you were together, well, you are, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you feel it's real.

As you made your way up the stairs, your phone pinged.

Kiyoomiโ™กโ™กโ™ก

You look pretty

You closed your eyes to stop yourself from squealing and acting like you've been possessed.

Lunch came, yay.

Nervously, you approached Kiyoomi to ask him to have lunch with you. "Uhm, so, like, you don't have to but, you know, like..."

Komori laughed at your nervous state while Yuna rolled her eyes.

"Lunch?" He asked.

You nodded.

He stood up and almost automatically, he held your wrist. At this point, you weren't surprised.

"Wow, you're really dating," Yuna commented with a click of her tongue.

"Unbelievable, isn't it?" Komori added.

The four of you were making your way towards the cafeteria after washing your hands separately in the restroom. You weren't able to make your own lunch since your mom shoo'ed you away from the kitchen, not wanting you to "tire" yourself preparing breakfast. She also just gave you lunch money for the same reason.

"Uh, why don't Komori and I order? While you two reserve a table?" You suggested.

Kiyoomi frowned but he didn't argue back. Komori would be the one to order for them both before anyway since he dislike standing in lines, he'd avoid it if he can.

The cafeteria is buzzing with chatter and faint murmurs. Few students kept glancing at Kiyoomi and some dared to blatantly stare. Kiyoomi pulled out enough money to give to you but you refused it.

"I'll treat you today, Kiyoomi," you stated, "your family paid for dinner last night anyway."

He actually didn't mind, he figured you'd just be stubborn about this little thing. Leaning down, he whispered, "But I'm paying for our date on Saturday."

It wasn't even sweet or anything, but the whispering he just did made you shiver run up your back and blush. It was probably because of how close he is and how deep his voice is, either way, it made you, once again, realize just how attractive your boyfriend is.

"Okay."

He hummed as he walked away with Yuna. He found a vacant table and didn't even bother to tell Yuna anything about it as he sat down and brought out his hand sanitizer.

"Sakusa," she called as she sat down, "you're rude."

"It's 'Sakusa-kun', Ito-san."

"You're no fun!"

It was as if fate wanted Kiyoomi to lose patience quicker since out of nowhere, two young lady stopped by in a hurry by their table, one of them even slammed their filthy hands on Kiyoomi's side of the table.

Disgusted, he glared at them.

"Sakusa! Is it true? You have a girlfriend?"

One even dared to point at Yuna and said, "Is this her?"

Both of them looked at Yuna with clear disgust and dislike.

"We didn't know this is your type, Kiyoomi."

After sighing dejectedly, he spoke, "It's 'Sakusa-kun' to you too. And if you don't yet your disgusting hands with nail colors that isn't even appropriately applied off my table, I will spray you with rubbing alcohol, right in the eyes."

The only times Sakusa Kiyoomi would be speaking a lot is when he's disgusted, extemely cautious/curious, and angry and when he's with you, of course, as you are an exemption.

The lady that did not even introduce herself quickly hid her hands behind her. They were unsure if they should just run away cowardly or stand their ground. But they decided to the latter because they're determined to know if the campus crush has a girlfriend and if he does, they want to know who she is because of reasons too immature.

Yuna interrupted what the girls were about to say with a small laugh. "The one you're looking for is buying him lunch." She was already pissed off at how they obviously trying to insult her.

"You don't mind, do you?" Yuna added and looked at Sakusa, "I mean, telling others about your relationship?"

"No," he was actually glad.

Yuna smiled sweetly to the girls, "Gonna go cry to the others now?" She smirked at the pissed off girls.

"Who is she, Kiyoomi?" One asked.

Wanting to piss them off more, she said, "How do you know it's a she? Why, becaus if it's a boy, you're not going to be able to intimidate them with yourโ€”" she put up air bunnies "โ€”beauty and charm?"

"Your eyes are dumb!" Out of madness and irritation, one of them spoke without even thinking if they make sense.

"Oh, I'm hurt," she sarcastically replied.

"Kiyoomi! She's insulting us!"

"I know."

He would stop Yuna if he saw her being physical or if things escalates since a scene where everybody's attention will be at is the last thing you'd like. But the girls started it.

They were unsure at first on what to do but now they were certain that they should leave.

They were the kind of students who liked Sakusa Kiyoomi by his looks only, they don't even know a thing about volleyball. And he knew this. He knew just by how they conducted themselves when they're talking to him. They'd be smiling from ear to ear when they hand him love letters and chocolates, makeup carefully done and so were their hairs, but they always do that in front of the whole school and they even boldly say who they are in school, the president of this or something. It was as if they expect him to be polite and accept it.

Well, news flash, he doesn't care.

He absolutely does not even know why they still keep doing that kind of stuff when he rejected it already multiple times. 'Germs' is what he calls them. He sighed as he remembered all this stuff again.

"You look like someone who doesn't have a girlfriend."

He ignored her.

"You know," Yuna started, "I didn't have an idea you liked Sakura. Until that morning where I saw you two together in the classroom. I have always thought that you disliked her."

"Huh? Why?" The topic included you now so he, of course, replied.

"You're seriously asking that? Exhibit A," she held up her forefinger, "when you were grouped together last school year, you just kept glaring at her. She was down after your group meeting because of you."

She was going to continue but Kiyoomi tilted his head sideways, "What? I wasn't glaring that time."

"That was just you staring?"

"Yeah, I was happy we were in a group."

"You couldn't just... smile?" She asked, disbelief evident in her tone.

"I did at first but when the group meeting started, I didn't since that would be noticed by the girls who kept looking back at me."

Yuna didn't know what to say to that so she said, "Anyway, exhibit two: you were asked to be her partner one time in PE class, but you refused coldly."

"She looked uncomfortable when the teacher suggested it, and I figured she was too kind to refuse so I did."

Again, Yuna didn't know how to respond so she just stopped talking.

Minutes later, you and Komori arrived with the food. You set his plate in front of him and yours by him before sitting down beside him.

"This is perfect, thank you," he said to you.

You smiled sweetly in return, "Komori chose that."

Without looking at his cousin, he said, "thanks."

"The difference in treatment is so hurtful that it's actually funny," Yuna commented. "Motoya-kun's life is hard."

"Yeah, kind of. But now, if someone insults me, I don't get bothered by it much because my cousin is freaking Kiyoomi."

Yuna laughed and patted Komori's back. "So, let's eat."

You four started to eat as you, Komori, and Yuna talked about little things while Kiyoomi sat silently and ate his food. He would jump in sometimes and speak but not that much.

"Oh, right, how was practice earlier, Kiyoomi?" You asked hesitantly, you wanted to ask if he was teased or if he told his team about you but you didn't how to bring that up.

"It was just as usual. The practices will be longer and more frequent next two weeks though so I would be much busier."

When he looked at you, he saw your eyes sparkling with excitement. "Inter high is in two weeks, right? Do your best!"

He quickly looked away. "Okay."

Komori and Yuna groaned.

"Speaking of practice," Komori spoke to change the topic, "they teased the heck out of him earlier because of you."

"Really? How did they know?"

"Well," Komori smirked, "he announced it in our group chat last night."

Blushing but very happy, you grinned and turned to Kiyoomi. "Really?"

He just shrugged.

You clapped your hands once out of excitement and asked, "How?"

"Last night, probably after taking a bath, he said 'the (hair color)-haired girl earlier, Minami Sakura, is my girlfriend, please don't approach her without me, I don't trust all of you' was what he said."

Kiyoomi knew they'd want to get a different reaction out of him other than being annoyed so they'll probably try to get him be jealous and he absolutely will not like that.

"Oh? He gets jealous?" Yuna asked.

"Very," Komori replied.

"Kiyoomi, do you really have to say that they shouldn't approach me?"

"They're just going to annoy you."

You chuckled before replying, "It's going to be okay, you know."

"I don't know, that's why I told them that."

"Kiyoomi's such a cutie," you teased and poked his arm, "a really really tall and protective cutie."

He glared at you but you continued to poke him and smiling at him.

"I'm going to puke," Yuna blurted out. "I will too," Komori replied.

After that, you came back to your classroom and continued on with the afternoon. Soon, it was time to go home. Kiyoomi and Komori started packing up their stuff when you approached them.

"Sakusa-kun," you teased right off the bat.

"Stop that, Sakura."

"Heh, I need to tell you something," you gestured him to crouch down a bit. After he did that, you acted as if you're going to whisper what you were about to say to him but you didn't.

You kissed his cheeks instead.

Lightly punching his arm, you smiled and said, "Good luck with your practice! Please take care of yourself."

He couldn't respond with words and just nodded.

"Bye!" You walked away with Yuna to go home. You felt bad not being able to see him practice but he said he understands that you can't.

Komori didn't see what happened because he was busy gathering his stuff but when he finished, he saw Kiyoomi just looking down and blushing his ears off.
