Monday came and the volleyball club had just finished their morning practice. Kiyoomi frowned at the thought of not having the chance to talk to you alone during early morning but you texted him before they practiced and that really cheered him up.

He and Komori was walking towards your classroom when he stopped in his tracks.

You were talking and laughing with someone outside of your classroom.

Dramatically, his aura grew darker with every step he took. His dark eyes narrowed down at the sight in front of them.

Komori noticed this and before he could finally reached you and the jerk you're talking to (Kiyoomi's impression of him), he jumped in between of his cousin and you.

"Sakura! Good morning!" He cheered.

Kiyoomi glanced at his cousin before looking back at you. You had a smile on your face as you faced them.

"Good morning, Komori!" You replied and looked at Kiyoomi, "goodmorning to you too, Kiyoomi!"

He almost forgot that he was irritated when you smiled at him.

He cleared his throat before replying, "Good morning, Sakura."

Before anyone could say anything, he spoke again. "Who is this?" His eyes turned to the guy and stared down at him, quite intensely.

"Oh, this is Namiku Masaru," you replied and faced the said guy, "Masaru-kun, this is Sakusa Kiyoomi and Motoya Komori."

"N-nice to meet you," Masaru said, looking down.

"He's a shy kid," you commented, "but he's applying as your club's manager!" You clapped your hands which for some reason embarrassed Masaru.

He knew who these two gentlemen in front of him is. He's intimidated by both of them but he's more intimidated by Sakusa Kiyoomi who is still staring at him with brows furrowed.

"Hello! Nice to meet you, Namiku-kun!" Komori excitedly said. "Are you a second year?"

Masaru nodded, "class 2-5."

"Class will be starting," Kiyoomi stated, "let's go inside already."

Masaru quickly scurried off like a rabbit faced with a terrifying creature which is appropriate because Kiyoomi was taller and his dark intense eyes is really scary. He could stare down at anyone and they probably would do anything he wants.

"Aww, he's so cute," you commented as you looked at Masaru's retreating figure.

Kiyoomi's insides flared with jealousy.

"He's not, he shouldn't be applying for a position where he'll be meeting intimidating and scary people. I'm worried he'd piss his pants earlier. And that would be disgusting." He ranted with an irk mark appearing on his forehead.

"Calm down, dude." Komori tried but failed because his cousin glared at him too.

"You seem annoyed, Kiyoomi. Are you tired?"

He calmed down hearing your soft voice. "I'm just saying, there are a lot of people who'd be overwhelming to handle and he looks like he gets afraid easily."

"That's fine, this is also his way of overcoming his shyness. Just talking to me, a stranger, was a big step for him. That's pretty brave."

He still wasn't fully convinced, partly because he was jealous of how you two were so comfortable with each other.

"Plus, he reminds me of Itsuki. Don't you think so too, Kiyoomi?"

The bad atmosphere quickly vanished. He immediately felt relieved when he heard that you see that guy as someone like your brother.

'That means the chances of her liking him is low' is what he thought.

"Fine."

You smiled widely. "How was morning practice, by the way?"

'Didn't Kiyoomi just said to go inside since class will be starting soon?' Komori thought.

"It was fine, as usual."

"Ah, did you eat well? Would you like some energy bars?"

"Stop obsessing with energy bars, Sakura."

You chuckled and said, "They're yummy and nutritious. It's good for you!"

"Fine, I would like some energy bars."

"Oh, it's in my bag! Let's go inside," you and started walking away and Kiyoomi glanced at his cousin who is just smiling at him.

"Komori, what are you standing there for? Class will be starting."

"Thought you forgot about me and class for a moment there," Komori teased the emotionless germaphobe.

"I think I did."

Komori frowned at his reply.

โ– โ– โ–

"Kiyoomi, Komori!" You called to the pair as they made their way out of the classroom.

Class has just ended and you waited for them both outside of the classroom to ask for a favor.

Kiyoomi saw you and he was about to talk to you when he noticed someone standing next to you. His slightly parted mouth shut close and he frowned once again.

"Sakura," he acknowledges you.

"Namiku-kun!" Komori said.

"Hi!" You exclaimed, "can I ask you a favor?"

"Sure," Kiyoomi replied as soon as you finished asking. It was almost automatic.

You grinned and tapped Masaru on the shoulders, "I can't go to the club because I need to gome early today but can you please introduce him to the coach, and you know, let him accompany you as you go there?"

Kiyoomi didn't want to do it.

"Sure," he answered you once again.

Komori looked at his cousin in shock. 'Wow, is this ain't liking someone, I don't know what is,' he thought.

"Thank you, thank you, Kiyoomi!" You jumped slightly at his acceptance. You know he isn't really one for accompanying people and that's why you were really nervous asking him but you were really worried for Masaru and that's why you asked him.

Kiyoomi smiled a little as he looks at you, "you're welcome."

Masaru noticed his little smile and his eyes grew wide with realization. He knows who Kiyoomi is and he saw him a couple of times ignoring the prettiest girls or evidently scoffing at someone who got too close but he never saw him smile.

Komori noticed his surprise and chuckled.

"Oh! Right, I can watch you practice tomorrow!" You excitedly told Kiyoomi. "Our neighbours' will have a birthday party and they invited both my brothers and so I can stay later in school."

He was now full on smiling, "really?"

'How can someone be so handsome?' You thought as you stare at him smiling.

You grinned before replying, "yes, I am so excited! It's been a while since I stayed long after class in school, I also want to meet the whole team."

Masaru stood more shocked that ever but this time, Komori was shocked too. Kiyoomi's expression wasn't smug, arrogant, or sarcastic, he was genuinely smiling.

"Sure, I'll introduce you."

"Thanks- shoot! I have to go!" You happened to glance at Kiyoomi's watch and realized that you should already get going, "bye, Komori, Masaru-kun!"

You walked away and left the three men standing in the hallway. One was smiling, the other two had eyes full of shock.

Kiyoomi watched you walk away until you were out of sight. He turned around and any trace of his smile was gone.

Komori blinked at how quick the expression changed.

"Sakusa-kun, do you like her?"

Maybe it was the shock, or maybe it was the curiosity that led Masaru to the path of bluntness. Nonetheless, he did ask that.

Komori turned to Masaru and it seemed like it was a day of endless surprises because he never thought he'd ask that to a really intimidating person.

"Do you?" Kiyoomi replied in the form of a question, his eyes narrowed down.

"N-not in that way, no!" He quickly answered.

"Good. Because I do. Don't want anyone getting in the way."
