"We just sit." Alexei said from Yelena's right side and we look up at him as he looked down and I looked away from him, annoyed. As the girls looked at their 'father figure' wondering how he was still alive, whilst Natasha and Melina were talking.
Natasha stood in the doorway as Melina looked at her, "What do you mean you know Larissa's mother?" Nat questioned Melina, tilting her head in curiosity. "Larissa's mother is...." Melina said as her voice wavered and tears stung behind her eyes.
"Dead?" Nat tried to finish for Melina but she shook her head as Nat looked at her, curious about what she is hiding. "What are you not telling us?" Nat said stepping forward, closer to Melina. "I am Larissa's mother." Melina revealed as Nat looked at her shocked and stumbled back.
"You?" Nat asked unsure as Melina nodded, a tear falling down her cheek. "Before I graduated, I conceived a baby, a baby girl." Melina said looking at the books on the shelf. "I tried to leave for a better life for her but... Dreykov had other plans." Melina said looking down and up at Natasha.
"What did he do?" Nat asked her as Melina sniffed, "He took her from me and threatened me if I ever were to disobey, he would have her killed." Melina said softly as Nat blinked at the woman who had endured far more than herself.
I looked outside seeing it get darker and sighed looking down, "So, there I am ice fishing with my father." Alexei began as Yelena and I sighed in annoyance. I shut my eyes restraining myself from punching him. I'd rather deal with Hojin than Alexei. Instead, I grabbed the vodka on the bedside table and opened it to take a swing.
I handed the bottle over to Yelena and she preceded to drink from it. "It's very cold day in this little ice shed, cold even for Russia, you know?" He said looking down at the siblings and I leaned my head back against the bed.
"'Keep the vodka by the fire,' my father would say to me." Yelena shakes her as she looks down, "Please, stop talking." She began as I nodded agreeing with her. "Please wait." He started as he looked down at us, "Please, no." I said shaking my head, "Please wait." He begged as I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Please, I don't want to talk." Yelena continued as we kept our gaze away from him. "Please. Please." He said loudly as I scoffed annoyed. "There is a reason why I'm telling you this, okay? Trust me." He said as I took another swing from the bottle and placed it back on the bedside table.
"I am reaching for fish." He says slowly whilst gesturing with his hand as I sighed. "Oh!" He exclaimed, dramatically if I may. "I lose balance. Ah!" He said extending his arms more as I shook my head.
"Splash!" He said looking down at us as I grabbed Yelena's hand. "My hands go in the river." He says as Yelena scoffed, "In this weather, frostbite sets in quick." Alexei explained as I huffed in annoyance.
"My father, he go toilet on my hands." He says loudly as I looked at him in disgust, "What the fuck?!" I exclaimed loudly as he continued, "Urine is 35 degrees Celsius, staves off the frostbite." Alexei says loudly ignoring our protests.
"How is this relevant?" Yelena exclaims whilst looking up at Alexei and I also looked at him. "You know, fathers." He said making my blood boil, "No." Yelena said before I continued for her.
"No, you have done nothing but tell us how bored you were." I sneered at his whilst shaking my head, Yelena remained silent as I spoke. "We were the chore, the job you didn't want to do." I said moving my hand to the side.
"To us?" I said slowly as he kept his gaze on us both, "To us, you were everything." I said shaking my head as he remained silent and I scoffed looking away. "Exactly. You don't care." I said shaking my head as my heart clenched.
"You don't care." Yelena agreeed with me as I looked down at my hands, "The only thing you care about are your stupid glory days as the Crimson Dynamo, and no one wants to hear about it." Yelena said as I nodded and he breathed in.
It was silent, "It's the Red Guardian." He whispered making us quickly look at him and glare, "Get out." Yelena began as I felt more angry. "Get out!" I shouted angrily towards him and he sighed.
He got up from the bed and stood there, "I can't remember." I hear him say as I looked at him, confused, "If I cried." He stepped away from us as I looked at Yelena and back at him. "When I read about his widowed bride." He sang loudly as the familiar lyrics made my eyes water.
"Something touched me deep inside." He sang as he sat down on the brown couch, looking down. "The day." I felt my inner child want to sing along, "The music." He stretched out causing Yelena to chuckle as I kept my gaze at him.
"Died." He said finally looking up at us both, "And they were singing." Causing Yelena and I to snicker at him, "Bye." He sang as I looked at him, "Bye." Yelena said softly as she looked away from Alexei.
"Miss American Pie." He sang as we softly sang along with him whilst chuckling. "Drove my Chevy to the levee." I sniffed looking down, "But the levee was dry." He continued to sing, "Was dry." We said simultaneously as I smiled down at my feet.
"Them good old boys." He said smiling at us as we looked up at him and away, "Drinking whiskey." He said softly as I kept my gaze on the floor, "Singing." He said softly as I looked up.
"This will be the day that I die." We all sang simultaneously, looking at each other as I felt the calm my my chest, "This'll be the day..." He sang before bright lights blinded our eyesight and hearing helicopters outside.
We quickly got up from our spots and I gape at the blinding light, as the helicopters surrounded the small house. I hear a bunch of rustling outside, "Get down." Alexei said to us whilst holding his arm out.
We quickly squat down beside the bed whilst Alexei put on his helmet and he grunted, ready to fight. The window shattered as a red dart landed on Alexei's chest and I covered Yelena's body from any other ones. Alexei looked down at the simple red dart on his chest.
Alexei scoffs and grabs the dart that's attached to his chest, "They think..." He started before we looked at him as more red darts landed on his chest. I gape at the amount of dosage that is entering his blood stream. He falls backwards and hits the ground with a thud.
I looked down at Alexei who remained on the ground, not moving. Yelena grabs his hand, to get any reaction but nothing happened. "Come on." I said helping her up as I quickly grabbed my gun from my thigh holster.
I breathed in sharply then opened the door stayed away from the doorway. We nodded towards each other and I quickly put my gun up and I stepped out of the room. Yelena remained behind me as we moved down the hall.
I moved first, looked at every crevice in the hallway as Yelena followed behind me. I looked to the right as Yelena did to my left, spotting nobody. We looked straight and I looked at the unfamiliar room spotting Nat on the ground.
I put my gun down and held my breath, then quickly checked for a pulse and sighed in relief. "She's alive." I said standing up straight and looked at Yelena, "Then where's Melina?" Yelena asked softly as I looked at her and shrugged.
We both looked at each other, hearing footsteps walk towards us. We quickly pointed our guns towards the person but saw Melina in a black suit and a ponytail. "Oh, sorry." I muttered putting the gun down and Yelena doing the same.
"No, I'm sorry." She looked at us guilty as I looked at her confused, "What do you me-?" I asked as she lifted both of her arms and pointing the Widow Bites towards us. She shot them toward us as I groaned loudly feeling the electric flow throughout my body then I was met with darkness.
They placed the three unconscious adults on the cots inside the helicopter and Alexei a couple feet away from them. Melina flys the plane upward towards the location of the Red Room that has been active for years.
As soon as they landed, they were immediately separated and Melina looked at Larissa's unconscious body being rolled away from them. She wondered where they were taking her, she continued to walk down the hallway.
The four guards and two doctors wheeled the unconscious brunette down the hallway and into a room that is familiar to her. They walked up to the familiar chair that not only held her but also the famous Winter Soldier. "Pomestite yeye tuda." The doctor said gesturing towards the chair. Place her there.
The other doctor, walked away from them and walked up to the wall and pressed her hand against the scanner then put in the familiar code. Then the small door slid to the side, revealing a familiar black book with the signature red Black Widow symbol.
They placed the unconscious woman in the chair and restrained her arms and legs against the chair. The doctor begins to type in the computer, I slowly blinked my eyes open and was met with the sound of typing and machine whirring.
"What." I muttered as I tried to message my temple from the headache, but instead couldn't move it. I frowned looking down at my hand and saw a metal cuff around my forearm. I paled and looked up seeing myself in the familiar chair and doctors moving around.
"Vy pomnite eto?" One of the doctors said walking up to me whilst waving the familiar black book around. I panicked at the sight of the book, "Net." I muttered sarcastically as she smirked at me. "Vidish' li, kak by mne ni nravilas' Larisa, Alaya vdova nam nuzhna bol'she." She spoke loudly as I squirmed in my spot. Do you remember this? No. See, as much as I like Larissa, we need the Scarlet Widow more.
She smirked whilst opening the book as I looked at the doctor beside me. "Neuzheli my ne stirayem yeye razum?" She asked looking at the other doctor that held the book, "Net." She said shaking her head and looked at me. Are we not going to erase her mind? No.
I shook my head, glaring at her, "Krasnaya komnata." She began as I felt my eye twitch as the familiar words, I began to pant, "Alyy." She continued as I looked away from her hearing a familiar white noise. "Kholodnyy." She said loudly slowly making her way towards me.
Red Room, Scarlet, Cold
I grunted as I shook my head at the buzzing in my skull. "V odinochestve." She said sternly as I shouted out in pain feeling the piercing sharp pain. Natasha looked up from Dreykov who stood in front of her, hearing a familiar shout. "Oh, they have begun." He said smirking towards Natasha. "What are you talking about?" She asked angrily as she pointed the gun towards him. Alone.
"The rise of the Scarlet Widow." He whispered menacingly and Natasha flinched as she heard the piercing scream. "Semnadtsat.'" She continued ignoring the withering adult, who was slowly losing control over herself and her own mind. "Chudo." She said whilst I shouted loudly as I began to see darkness. Seventeen, Miracle
"Vosem'desyat pyat.'" She says as I felt everything in my mind being scrambled and suddenly something clinked and I felt nothing whatsoever. "Syvorotka." She finishes and closes the book handing off to another doctor as they watched the brunette that remained emotionless. Eighty-five, Serum
The doctor smirks down at the Scarlet Widow, who sits in the chair. "S vozvrashcheniyem, vdova." She says loudly as the Scarlet Widow looks up at the doctor and glares at the unfamiliar woman. "YA gotov podchinit'sya." The Scarlet Widow says monotonous as she looked at the woman. Welcome back, Widow. I'm ready to comply.
"U nas yest' dlya vas missiya o nekoy Chernoy vdove." She said nodding towards the doctor to let go of the asset. The cuffs let go of the Scarlet Widow and she stands up whilst every guard in the room pointed their weapon towards the dangerous woman. "Davayte nachnem." I said nodding towards the woman. We have a mission for you and it's about a certain Black Widow. Let's get started.
