THINGS BEGAN TO SHIFT IN THE CHURCH WHERE PAUL WORKED THAT BECAME REALLY CHALLENGE. Once Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Elisa started doing their own thing in music, there were people starting to speak about the boys' father in a negative way. Being the pastors sons; there was a perspective on them that they were supposed to be these squeaky clean, perfect kids. There was so much going on that their parents never told them; of course, in their minds, they were protecting their children just like any other parent would, but for them as kids, it was just scary. The dream that they were chasing freaked a lot of people out in the church: it was like their dream was totally a different lifestyle that they expected the pastor's sons to be in. The next thing that happened was that the church started a platform to get Paul removed.

The day that Paul resigned at Wyckoff was really devastating for him, but for the Jonas family as well; Paul couldn't even his resignation letter, but he wasn't the only one hurting. The brothers never forgot the day that their parents spoke to them which was basically like them saying that they were leaving the church, meaning that they were leaving the house, and Columbia's decided to not work with them anymore and to just... drop them. The boys were scared and worried, feeling like everything was crashing down and all their hard work at getting to live their dream was ruined; everything they knew for their lives gone, their community just... wasn't there for them, their community but one special person in their lives stuck by their side till the end, not once abandoning them. Elisa had begged her parents for the people that she considered family to stay with them since the house that she grew up had plenty of rooms and was basically big enough to fit like four or three families.

Growing up in the same house, it brought the four of them closer than they were before and since Columbia Records just basically dropped her best friends — her family out of nowhere, she knew that she couldn't stay with people who just... didn't believe in them cause to her, family was more important to her. It was the first night of the four of them growing up in the same house now and within her bedroom and laying down on her bed, the four best friends were chatting about her decision and of course, the boys didn't want her to give up her dream of a music career just for them.

"Eli, you don't have to stop working with Columbia because of us. They're still working with you," Kevin said, him and his brothers were trying to convince her not to go through with her decision, but she just didn't want to pick a career over her family.

"We'll be fine, Eli." Joe added.

Elisa shook her head, "Guys, I'm not gonna stay with people who don't believe in you. Especially not when I do believe in you guys,"

"We know you do, but you don't have to pick us over your career." Nick said.

"It's your dream," Joe said.

"Our dream," Elisa corrected. "We agreed that we were doing this together. If Columbia doesn't believe in you guys like I do, then I'm done working with them."

Kevin, Joe, and Nick wanted to say something to get her to change her mind, but they also knew that when she makes up her mind, there's no way you'd change it.

"You guys know that I consider you guys family. I'm not gonna pick working with Columbia over my family." Elisa told them.

"Eli, we appreciate it, but this is your dream." Kevin said.

"We just don't want you to regret anything later on," Nick said.

Elisa smiled softly at them. "Guys, I'm not gonna regret it. Yeah, I enjoy making music but it's a lot more fun when I have my best friends, who are also my family by my side up on that stage, doing what the four of us love. We've been through a lot together, we're not stopping that now."

Even though they weren't sure about this, they knew that they couldn't change her mind. All they could do was go along with it because they knew that Elisa was always gonna be loyal to her family, not once picking something over them. That's just who she was — and they wouldn't have her any other way.

"Besides, we're the Four Musketeers. You guys don't think I'd pick a career over you guys, right?" Elisa asked.

They smile softly.

"No, we know you wouldn't do that," Nick said. "You're right, we did agreed that we're in this together. That's not gonna change,"

"Without you, we wouldn't be able to be the Four Musketeers. Plus, you're family to us." Joe said. "That's something that will never change,"

With soft smiles, they all did a fist bump, talking together in unison. "One for all, and all for one."

The next thing that happened was that Elisa stopped working with Columbia, refusing to work with someone who didn't believe in her best friends and staying loyal to her family. And as they grew in the same house, the four of them stuck by each other, becoming closer than ever before and it was like together, they could've accomplished anything. That's what they planned to do: stick together and live their dream.

But this time, the four of them were making music and touring together to make money, each one of them wanting to help out their family. It became a different reality setting from when it was free and fun: of course, they still loved making music, but they always reminded themselves that they were also helping out their family by getting money from this as well. For kids who just wanted to have fun, it was a lot of pressure for them at that age.

It wasn't easy for them though. It was a giant mess: trying to do it all on your own which means spending a lot of money. It wasn't easy at all for them. Nick, Elisa, Kevin, and Joe wrote a bunch of songs as they grew up in the same house out of the pain, the hurt, and the abandonment. Growing up in the same house, they wrote their entire albums, feeling like people didn't believe in them so, they were going to prove them wrong.

It was snowing one day and within Elisa's bedroom, her and Nick were working on a few songs after dinner that day. They had their instruments, the lyrics to the songs, and a laptop to add the music in the way they liked it. They'd probably been working on the songs for a few hours when Joe and Kevin suggested that they take a break so, after putting on their winter clothes, they went out to the backyard of the Evans slash Jonas home as snow continued to fall and the ground was covered in white snow. The pool in the back of the house had been covered earlier in the day before it had started snowing.

It didn't take too long for them to start gathering snowballs while snowflakes and snow continued to fall from the sky. Kevin threw his snowball at Nick and Elisa as the two quickly turned around, letting the snowball hit their backs. Then, the two whirled around and threw their snowballs at Kevin, who also turned around in time for the snowball to hit his back. Before Nick and Elisa could even get more snowballs, Joe suddenly threw his arms around the two, bringing the three of them down onto the snowy ground, causing Kevin to laugh at his brothers and best friend.

Their little snowball fight kept going for a while and halfway through their snowball fight, Elisa's uncle Jeremy Evans, who was her father's older brother and another close friend of Paul since they attended the same high school together stopped by with her aunt Linda Parks-Evans and younger cousin, Katie Evans. The adults had decided to take the kids ice skating and once they got there and brought their skates, they went onto the ice.

The four of them were sliding across the ice as if they were tag and chasing the other. Kevin bent down and swept his hand across the ice, gathering some snow. He laughed when he heard Joe yelp as he got struck with the snowball.

"Oh! It's on now, Frobro!" Joe grabbed some snow, and soon both boys were taking part in a massive snowball war. Nick and Elisa were too busy skating after each other — and eventually too busy chasing after Emma, Luke, and Frankie for teasing them, but when the two skated over to Joe and Kevin, they were pegged with two snowballs to the head.

"Ok so not cool!" Nick and Elisa scolded.

The two supposedly older boys out of the four were laughing so hard that they were holding their stomachs and both of their faces were as red as Joe's pants.

Nick groaned. He had to have the most immature brothers. On the other hand, Elisa couldn't help but roll her eyes at the two. Two of her best friends had to be the most immature people that she knew — not counting her older brother, Luke.

"Come on, Nicky, Eli, loosen up a bit!" Joe managed to hold in his laughter.

"Yeah, guys, cause if you don't..." Kevin paused for "dramatic" effect, "We're gonna have to force you both ourselves." He winked at Joe.

"Wait... NO! You wouldn't!" Nick and Elisa immediately skated off, knowing exactly what was gonna happen.

"Oh, yes, we would!" Joe grinned evilly as he chased after the two with Kevin.

Nick and Elisa glanced back to see the two right on their tails and picked up their pace.

"Geez, Joe! Where did this sudden magical skating ability come from?"

"I just happen to be a very skilled skater if I do say so myself! I only mess up when I'm fooling around," Joe stated.

"Which is usually all the time," Nick and Elisa mumbled.

"HEY! I heard that!" Joe flew forward. Nick's and Elisa's eyes widen in shock and the two of them let out an 'oof' as Joe wrapped his arms around them, tackling them to the ice.

"Gotcha!" Joe grinned, standing up.

Kevin laughed as he skated over to them. "Ready, Joe?" He gave a knowing look and Joe nodded his head.

Nick and Elisa yelped as Joe pinned them to the ground while Kevin shoved snow, freezing snow, into Nick's and Elisa's shirt under their jackets. It didn't matter how hard they struggle, it didn't help. Joe laughed and stood up. Both Nick and Elisa squeaked as the glacial coldness finally hit them, sending chills up and down their spines. The two stood up and attempted to get rid of the freezing snow out from under their jackets, their frustrated breaths came out in frosty puffs of clouds.

One thing was for sure, Kevin and Joe were in so much trouble now.

Joe and Kevin released a small 'eep' when Nick and Elisa sent an icy glare in their direction. "You're so dead!" Nick and Elisa advanced quickly towards the two as they quickly started skating again. Nick and Elisa skated after Kevin and Joe, chasing after them to make sure that they got payback. Eventually, everyone was ready to head home to warm up after a day of ice skating and being out in the snow.

Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Elisa were sitting on the couch by the fireplace wrapped in blankets and drinking hot chocolate as they laughed and talked. The four of them had pulled the couch out into a bed since it was a pullout couch. The heat from the fire definitely warmed up on the outside and the hot chocolate definitely warmed them up on the inside. Once their hot chocolate was done, four empty cups were sitting on the small table next to the couch while the four of them stayed where they were on the couch by the fireplace, still wrapped in their blankets. Being his usual goofy side, Joe was making them laugh so hard that they were holding their stomachs.

"You're such a dork, Joe," Kevin laughed. Joe pouted.

"Yeah, but we still love you," Elisa grinned.

"Yay! See, at least somebody is kind enough to say so!" Joe sent a playful glare in Kevin's direction.

Kevin stuck out his tongue playfully at him, making Joe do the same. "Joe, you are so immature sometimes," Kevin chuckled.

"You're both being immature," Nick said, wondering how he ended up with the most immature big brothers, yet he still loved them and always will.

Elisa giggled, "You're all immature sometimes, but I wouldn't have you boys any other way. You guys are definitely the best friends I could ask for, I love you boys."

"Aw! I think I'm gonna cry now!" Joe said, making them laugh as he threw his arms around Elisa for a hug.

"We love you too, Eli," Kevin said.

Within a few minutes, it was night and they were all laying down on the couch by the fireplace, letting the heat from the fire warm them up. Kevin and Nick were the first ones to fall asleep. It was silent for another ten minutes before Joe spoke.

"Hey, Eli. Eli, you awake?" Joe whispered.

"Hmm?" Elisa mumbled.

"Did you really mean those things you said? Were you really serious when you said that you wouldn't have us any other way and that we're definitely the best friends you could ask for?" He questioned curiously.

"Yes, I was serious. I meant every single word. You guys are my best friend, you and Kev are basically my older brothers. You guys... you guys aren't just my family or my best friends, but you're my guardian angels too," Elisa whispered softly.

"You know something? You're amazing, you know that? I'm proud to be your big brother," Joe said, smiling at her.

Elisa smiled back at him. "So I've been told,"

"You know what else? You really are extraordinary. You're amazingly talented and gifted. And I promise you, I will never ever let anyone hurt you. I promise you that I'll protect you as your big brother,"

"I know... I've never been so gifted." Elisa paused. "I have you, Nicky, Kev, Emma, Luke, Frankie, your parents, and my parents. You guys are my gifts, you're all my life."

She paused again.

"Before we met, I was so focused on writing a few songs and I didn't really focus on making friends. I don't think I cared about having friends before we met. But then, I met you guys and well... you guys changed my life for the better. I wouldn't be able to do of this or even reach my dream without the best day of my life; meeting you guys. I couldn't survive without this family that I have," Elisa has silently started to cry. They were tears of happiness.

"Eli, I love you, little sis." Joe wrapped his arm around his little sister and hugged her closely.

"I love you too, Joey... big bro." Elisa smiled at him and blinked her tears of happiness away.

A couple minutes later, the four of them had fallen into a deep sleep. They each had a arm wrapped around each other as if they were doing a group hug in their sleep.

The very next sleep, Rosalina and Denise found them like this and smiled softly. Rosalina and Denise shared a look and nodded before Rosalina walked out of the room and came back with a camera in hand.

"This is so going in the scrapbook," Rosalina and Denise grinned while Rosalina took the picture before the two had let the four of them sleep. It was clear that the bond that Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Elisa shared couldn't be broken and that no matter what, they'd always find their way back to each other.

( author's note )

Okay, so, I decided to publish Concert Experiences in another chapter since I got the ice skating idea from a fanfiction I read on FanFiction.Net.

I was gonna end it with Denise and Rosalina taking a picture of the four but then, I decided to add a bit of brotherly-sisterly love with Joe and Elisa. If you guys want me to do the same with Kevin and Elisa, let me know. In a later chapter, I'm also planning on having a few moments between Nick and Elisa, so, yeah.
