over the weekend and the last couple of days leading up to sunday we're filled with both excitement and anxiety. when sunday had rolled around you were on a call with yashiro.

"i'm too lazy to pick out an outfit!" you groaned, phone propped up against a wall to show you scavenging your closet for an outfit. clothes on your bed from the failed attempts.

after some debating you pulled out some clothes and turn to the camera, asking yashrio's opinon on the outfit.

"ooo, that would look super nice on you!" yashiro grinned, peering closer to her phone to see the outfit slightly clearer.

"the weather forecast said it's going to be a little cold, so forget to bring a jacket." yashiro mentioned. you walked over to your phone and tilted your head in confusion letting out a quiet 'huh?'.

"so then he can give you his jacket! like those rom-coms" she explained, causing you to widen your eyes and laugh. you shook your head. "i am not freezing for a dumb troupe" you retaliate, but the thought of wearing bakugou's jacket did seem nice since he was probably pretty warm.

"ok miss 'my favourite troupe is enemies to lovers'." yashiro laughed, you however did not. in your defence you liked the enemies scenes the best, especially a classic knife to throat scene.

"yeah yeah whatever, anyways i'm getting on the train soon i'll message you how it goes or if i need help" you waved good bye to the girl as she wishes you a good luck. i'm going to need a lot more luck, he might beat me up tonight.

stepping off the train, with a few other people accompanying you. the train station isn't as busy as it is during the morning, and with the lack of bombarding footsteps surrounding you and people blocking your view, you started to relax a little before meeting up with the blond who has a talent for being constantly angry.

walking up the familiar staircase and seeing a clear view out into the city, and a certain blond leaning against a brick wall whilst looking down to his phone. a small smile raced up to your lips as you pace slightly faster towards him.

stopping in front of him, he looks up, eyes instantly connecting. a brief silence lingering. "you're late." bakugou complained, pushing himself off the wall and putting his phone into his pocket.

"no i'm not!" you quickly look at your phone to see the time is 8:02pm.

"ok...maybe by two minutes but i can't help the fact there are so many stairs to get up here and i got tired!" you panted slightly after a few moment regaining your posture before smiling.

"so where is the mystery place?" you asked awkwardly while clinging onto your tote bag. bakugou stared back at you and turned and started walking, you following close behind, confused.

as you were about to cross a road bakugou pulled you back to the sidewalk and pressed the button and waited. "you need to press this before crossing to stop the cars before the drive into you".

"but...there's no cars?" you questioned, double checking yourself by looking up the road and a car was approaching but was far enough for you to cross over the road.

"and? what if some guy has a quirk that lets them turn their car invisible?" he stated. the man on the light finally turned green and a noise playing allowing us to cross... 'unharmed'.

"i don't think anyone has a batmobile quirk" you joked. bakugou scoffed and decided to walk a bit faster which caught you off guard.

a few more moments of ,what you thought was awkward, silence. every time you tried to start a conversation with the blond he would just grunt or reply in one word answers so after a few attempts you gave up.

you hear distant laughter and music, different coloured lights illuminating the bland streets. you squint your eyes towards the noise and see a...carnival?

"hey bakugou—" you started before being interrupted by bakugou groaning. "just call me katsuki" he continued to walk but you could see a slight pink forming onto the tip of his ears. you chuckle slightly and tried not to comment on him blushing.

"ok then, katsuki... is that carnival the place we're going?" you ask, purple lights cascading onto both of your faces as you approach it. "yeah" he replies, you turn to look at him and see he's already staring at you. a few moments go by where the two of you stare into each other's eyes before you turn away in embarrassment.

after a few more minutes you arrive at the entrance of the carnival, a low mumble and laughter spread throughout the area. you tried to pay for your ticket to enter but baku— katsuki insisted on paying.

"so where do you wanna go first?" katsuki asked, turning to you and awaiting your answer. "hmmmm, let's just walk around for a bit and see if there's any food or games you wanna play!" you said. the two of you took off grabbing some snacks on the way.

your eyes scan past a game with lots of prizes, seeing the owner take down a bear and give it to a man who then handed it to who you assumed was his significant other as the two kissed and walked off hand in hand.

"you want one of those?" katsuki questioned. "well i don't really mind— wait!" you see him walk towards the booth and pay for two tries. the game was to try and get a ball in a container without it rebounding out. seems simple enough.

the first attempt went poorly, katsuki threw the ball too hard that it bounced back and nearly hit some random woman behind us to which you immediately apologised for while the blond awkwardly stared. the second attempt went slightly better but he still didn't win, which did lead to him having a minor breakdown. you pull out some money and pay for two tries as well.

you noticed that bakugou used too much power and aimed it at the bottom of the container, so you tried to avoid what he did. you used far less power and aimed for the top of the can, so that if it did bounce it would bounce to the bottom and stay there.

"oh my gosh! it actually worked!" you shouted, turning to katsuki in shock. "you still have another go" he tells you and turns you towards the game and hands over the final ball.

you tried to do the same thing again but failed, making your grin drop. you feel a tap on your shoulder and see the booth owner handing you over a blue stuffed dinosaur. it was pretty big, huggable size. "thank you" you take the toy and hand it over to katsuki.

"for you," you smile, he looks back in shock. he shakes his head and tries to give it back to which you decline. "it's a gift, keep it." you say as you both wander around again. he furrows his eyebrows and puts the plushie in his bag.

"i wanted to get you the toy" he slightly whined. you feel your heart speed up and face getting hot, you tried your best to hide it and get yourself to calm down.

katsuki sees a "test your strength!" game and rushes over to it, wanting to beat everyone else. when it's his turn he whacks the hammer down and sees he broke the game to which everyone around him cheers for — all except the employees who weren't happy for the extra job given.

katsuki turns to you with a grin, eyes softening, and you return one too as you clap alongside the crowd. he returns to you with a toy bear with a massive body but small head. you laugh at the anatomy of the toy as he hands it over to you. "for you."

katsuki suggested going on a roller coaster, you were a bit scared considering how high up it was and the loop it had in the middle but after the blond called you a coward you couldn't back down from the challenge.

"c'mon what are you? a fucking loser?" katsuki mocked, cockiness and a competitive vibe washing over the both of you. "no! how 'bout this, we have to keep a straight face the whole ride, if you don't you lose and...hmm... winner can choose the reward!" you exclaim as you both get closer to the front of the line.

after a few minutes you get seated onto the ride, you triple checked to see if you were correctly strapped in. you look at katsuki with a smirk, "good luck, you'll need i-" before you could even finish your sentence the ride started to move with the rest of the people doing a small shriek in shock. you quickly grabbed onto the handle as katsuki chuckles with his arms crossed.

the roller coaster was approaching the highest peak, a slow ascend as you nervously look down feeling a bit nauseated but shaking off the feeling by looking forwards. the ride stops, letting people enjoy the view for a few moments before speeding down as you kept your mouth shut and looked to your right to see katsuki sitting nonchalantly. fuck this guy i'm not losing.

the ride lasted a few minutes and you figured out where the camera was going to be, and so the two of you stared at the camera blank faces as the others onboard were screaming.

finally coming off the ride you let yourself breathe as you took a few moments to collect yourself. "ha! i didn't lose!" you say as you hold onto a nearby post for support. "well neither did i," katsuki replies, narrowing his eyes at you, trying his best to intimidate you — and doing so successfully.

after a few minutes of collecting yourself, you wanted to go onto the ferris wheel, waiting a few minutes in line before boarding on. it takes a couple seconds to get comfortable and for the wheel to start moving. at first there was an awkward silence, katsuki sitting across from you.

should i move over to him or is that too much?

"if you want to sit next to me then hurry up" katsuki says, moving over a bit to give you some room. you carefully move over. you look over the edge and see how small everyone looks from this high up.

"katsuki, thanks for inviting me out." you continue to look, seeing all the bright lights and people moving around, the employees bringing a new "test your strength" machine after katsuki broke it.

"you know you should smile more, you look really pretty when you smile." the two of you look at each other as katsuki stares in disgust. you reach up to his cheeks and pull them upwards to try and recreate a smile but instead you made him look...never mind there's no nice way to say it.

"actually never mind you look weird" you remove your hands and place them onto your lap. "what! no i don't look!" he forces a smile and looks really weird making you laugh his forced smile slowly turns into a real smile.

"see! you look really pretty just now" you exclaim. he rolls his eyes and turns away. after a few minutes you reach the top of the ferris wheel. the view from up here was beautiful.

"you're a fucking dumbass" he remarked, his chin propped up on his hand as he looked out to the view. i wonder what he thinks of.

"yeah i know, but that's what makes you like me" you tease, a small laugh at the boy's flustered reaction.

"I DONT LIKE YOU!!" katsuki retaliates, squirming around making the cart move around a little too much for your liking to which he immediately stopped and said a quick and quiet apology.

"if you don't then why are you blushing right now" you smirk, noticing the tips of his ear going pink as a slight pink hue rushes over his face. "i'm not blushing!" he shouts back.

"alright alright" you laugh, looking away again, bringing the duo back to a deafening silence. the two deciding if they should say something, anything to get rid of the awkward tension.

"hey ba— katsuki. i want you to know something and it might sound like...really bold." you say, still keeping your eyes as far as possible from the fiery red ones. the boy hums in response. you build up the courage, face turning red and palms getting sweaty before turning to him and finally looking into his eyes.

"i think i like you."

holy shit. why the fuck did i say that. fuck fuck fuck he's just looking at me. should i play it off as a joke? shiiiitt.

"fuck..i think i like you too" he sighed, his whole posture relaxing. your eyes widen, almost certain you heard him wrong but nothing else could've explained his blushing face and him averting his eyes. maybe he's just feeling really hot right now—

"are you serious? like you're not joking right? because if you are that's kind of fucked up." you ramble making him groan in annoyance. "i'm not kidding, but i really fucking wish i was" he grumbled.

katsuki finally turned to look at you, seeing how your eyes glistened as the colours of your eyes mixed in with the carnival colours, thinking of how you smelled really nice too. he noticed your hair was slightly messy due to the wind but he didn't mind.

"can i use that coupon now?" he asked as he searched his pockets and pulled out a laminated piece of paper with the picture of the coupon. you held your laugh in as you took it and nodded.

inching in on each other's lips until finally they touched, katsuki's hand on your waist holding on gently while you  cup his face. the sound from below drowned out, and for the briefest moment nothing else mattered besides this kiss.

sorry for the long wait for only a mediocre chapter ;;
i don't really have any excuse for being gone except for school and being lazy 🤏
i've never written a kiss scene before so trying to write it while still not having my first kiss was kind of funny.
