Once the others rushed to locate Yujun and figure out what had happened, they found Jiwoo crouched beside him, teary eyed as she tried to explain how she had found him. Immediately, Yoonseo and Junhee rushed towards the girl, Yoonseo pulling her into a hug while her brother held onto her hand, worriedly glancing at her every few seconds.

The others tried to listen to her explanation but she was in a state of shock, everything that left her mouth was incoherent and cut off by a choked sob. All she could do was glance down at his body, wondering who could possibly do such a thing to anybody. Yujun never did anything wrong to disrupt anybody's life, especially not anything worthy of this brutal death.

Who had done it?

That was the question that was on the tip of everyone's tongue, they wanted answers and certainty that through the day they would be protected.

"He didn't break any rules, so why did he..." a student began, glancing down at his deceased body with a frown, "did he fall..."

Yoonseo shook her head as she looked at their classmate. "He didn't fall. Someone killed him." She announced, her eyes moving towards Jiwoo, their only lead. "Did you see anyone?"

From beside the girl, Jiwoo shook her head. "There was nobody around, I tried asking him what had happened but he was so out of it." She explained, her lip trembling again at the memory, she wished she could have done more to help him.

As Yoonseo sent her friend a comforting smile, she stepped forwards and looked around the room at the other students. "There are lots of signs of a struggle, and there are wounds on his head. Someone attacked him." She finalised, creating a silent and tense atmosphere in the crowded room.

Junhee disconnected his hand from his sister's momentarily, grabbing the white sheet to cover the boy's body. He and three others assisted Yujun's corpse and moved it to the freezer with the others, which signalled to the others to leave.

Yoonseo and Jungwon remained, trying to piece together what had happened. Jiwoo was going to say but her friends insisted she go get some water and sit down, she was clearly in a state of shock.

Jiwoo had believed she had almost grown used to this, seeing the corpse of her classmates, but she realised this was not something anybody could become used to.

Around an hour later, Yoonseo arrived at their shared room to get Jiwoo, noticing that the girl was sat on her bed, her knees pulled up to her chest as she stared ahead. Her friend had attempted to call out her name but she did not move, barely even blinked as she kept her eyes trained on the white wall. She did not even show any sign of recognition as Yoonseo moved to sit beside her.

Jiwoo was trapped in her own mind, it was screaming at her. All she could think about was how she should have done more, instead of just freezing up and dumbly staring at him. She wondered what would have happened if she went and got the others, searched for a first aid kit, actually attempted to help him. But rather, all Jiwoo had done was ask idiotic questions and cry, he could have been saved.

Her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault, her fault.

"Hey, Jiwoo," Yoonseo called out softly once again, placing her hand on her shoulder to pull her out of whatever dazed daydream she had been captured it, "are you okay?"

The girl's lip trembled as she nodded, knowing if she vocalised it verbally it would be cut off with another sob, she was so tired of crying. As she swallowed harshly, she found herself turning to look at her friend. "I just keep thinking what if I got there sooner, or if I had actually tried to help him..."

Yoonseo cut the girl off and intertwined their hands. "Jiwoo, stop, you did all you could. There was nothing any of us could have done, he had a head injury and none of us are trained doctors, he would have died either way. You stayed with him, gave him comfort as he went, you did everything you could have." She reminded her, her eyes softening as she looked at her friend, hating to see her in such a state.

Unable to form an actual response, Jiwoo squeezed Yoonseo's hand and dropped her head onto the girl's shoulder, glad she had her best friend. It did not silence her thoughts as much but she was no longer drowning in guilt, she had an anchor pulling her back to the surface now.

After a few moments had passed, Yoonseo explained that they might have possibly found the murderer, which was why they had come to get Jiwoo. She did not name any names, just showed the evidence they had found and that was all it took for the girl to grow nauseous as she recognised who the footprints had belonged to.

It just did not make any sense, it had to have been the Mafia that had done this and she knew that he was a Citizen. Jiwoo was naive and idiotic, she knew that as she prayed he had no involvement in whatever had happened to Yujun.

With that nauseous feeling rising, she allowed Yoonseo to lead her to meet the others, her thoughts growing and growing, practically screaming answers at her. She wanted to ignore them, pretend he would do no such thing but she knew that was foolish โ€” he was capable of so much more than she could ever comprehend.

Once everyone was in the meeting room, Somi looked around and moved her eyes towards Yoonseo irritably. "You said you'd tell us who did it. Why did you bring us here?" She quizzed, her hand on her hip.

Revealing her phone, Yoonseo showed her phone to the group, a photo of a bloody footprint illuminated on the screen. "In the warehouse, I found a footprint," she begun, pulling out an object and placing it next to the phone, "and this was next to it. I think it's from the shoe of Yujun's killer."

Jiwoo's eyes snapped to Kyungjun's, noticing he had clenched his jaw, looking away from the phone. It was screaming right at her, all the evidence pointing towards him, but the unanswered question of why still lingered.

Walking from the circle they had made, Yoonseo crouched down on the floor, dropping the evidence onto the ground. "This is the same one," she continued, motioning to the other bloody footprint that lingered beside it. Pressing her finger on the empty space left between the start and end of the show, she frowned, "it stood out because I found it weird there was a blank." Dropping the object over the end of the bloody print, she discovered that it covered it perfectly, as if it was the thing that had caused such imprint. "I think this explains it."

Picking it up again, Junhee took it from her and examined it curiously. "This is an accessory lots of basketball shoes have." He commented and Jiwoo kept her eyes on Kyungjun, as if praying it was not him.

It could not be him, surely not.

If it was, then she had made the biggest regret of her life earlier.

Noticing that everyone had directed their eyes towards him, Kyungjun grimaced. "Why? What?" He took a step backwards as their eyes flickered to his shoes, as if he was trying to hide them.

Their eyes shifted between Kyungjun's footwear and Jinha's, knowing that all the evidence was pointing between the two. The evidence from the night prior pointed the Mafia to be Jinha and Jiwoo knew that Kyungjun was a Citizen, so which one had done it?

Her hand itched to check Jinha's identity but she found herself second guessing herself, what if she used her skill and he was a Citzen, but when she actually needed to use the ability she could not because she was on a cooldown.

Snapping her from her thoughts, Yoonseo moved back to her side, squinting at Kyungjun suspiciously. "Is this yours?" She asked, directing the question at the two basketball players.

"Why would you say that, you witch?" Jinha snapped, shaking his head at her accusation.

Jiwoo's cold gaze landed on his. "Call her that again and I'll make sure everyone votes you, guilty or not. Watch your tone, Jinha." Jiwoo retorted quickly, making the boy take a step back, as if trying to fight against the scrutiny of her eyes.

"Show us your shoes so we can check." Yoonseo explained, placing her hand on Jiwoo's shoulder to tell the girl to calm down.

Kyungjun took a step backwards and shook his head. "I don't use that, okay?"

"Then you will have no problem showing us your shoes, you have nothing to hide, right?" Jiwoo replied, sending a fake grin his way.

Clenching his jaw, he relented and shoved his shoe off. Grabbing it from the floor, he looked at the students, "Fuck it, take a look then," Kyungjun exclaimed, holding it so they could see the soles of his shoes, noticing that he was right, he did not use that.

"It's not his." Junhee confirmed, his tone resentful as he realised that potentially this was not the suspect they were looking for.

Moving his shoe away, Kyungjun rolled his eyes. "I told you so."

While he put his shoe back on, their gaze shifted towards Jinha, the boy looking more guilty by the second. As he tried to feign innocence, the others merely grabbed him and forced his feet off the ground so they could see the soles of his shoes.

Sure enough they were a direct match, this evidence they had found had come from his basketball shoes.

Yoonseo took a step towards the struggling boy, grasping his arm once she had noticed something. There, on his wrist was a bite mark, a sign of the victim struggling. The more they looked, the more guilty Jinha looked.

"It really was you." Yoonseo gaped, looking at him in disgust. "Why did you do it?"

Shaking his head, Jinha became tearful as he looked at all the accusing eyes on him. "It wasn't me, I didn't kill him."

"We found the weapons you used, don't try to lie." Yoonseo retorted, unwilling to listen to him feign innocence any longer.

Clenching his jaw, Jinha moved to the centre of their makeshift circle. "Shall I tell the truth?" He asked, turning to point his finger towards Kyungjun, who had been watching the scene carelessly, his hands in his pockets. "Ko Kyungjun killed him it wasn't me!"

Taking a step towards his ex-friend, Kyungjun scowled. "What are you saying, psycho?" He exclaimed, getting close to the boy. "The shoe and brick says it's you!"

Jiwoo thought she was going to faint, the nausea rising as she gaped at the boy. His slip up had confirmed everything she had wanted to ignore, he really was involved. She knew he was not Mafia, which somehow made this ten times worse.

Kyungjun had been involved in the murder of their classmate, and he did not even have the pathetic excuse of the game to be blamed, he had done this for another reason.

"How did you know that?" Jungwon instantly called out, picking up on his slip up easily.

His eyes moved towards hers as Yoonseo rose her brow. "We never mentioned a brick. How did you know about it?" She chimed in, as the boy's mouth opened slightly. "Jinha was with someone else in the warehouse. We found another identical footprint but without the heel pad, it was you, wasn't it?

Almost instinctively, Kyungjun darted his eyes towards Jiwoo, as if he was trying to convince her but she could only avoid his eye, her guilt drowning her all over again.

Why did she make such horrendously bad decisions?

Listening to the two accused throw the blame against each other, Jiwoo felt her thoughts disperse, only snapping back when they turned the argument physical.

Kyungjun had begun to beat Jinha and the girl could only step back and move out of the way. Junhee and another student had quickly attempted to pull Kyungjun away from the boy in order to stop their physical fight but the boy fought against their hold.

Once he got out of their hold, he moved his arm and directed a punch towards Junhee, sending the boy crashing into the shelves next to him. Jiwoo's eyes narrowed as they landed on Kyungjun, the annoyed boy once again directing a kick into Jinha's side.

She was unsure what made her do it, but she pulled herself towards him, undecided even then. When he turned to look at her, she moved without thought, sending her fist into his face. Shockingly, the boy just clenched his jaw, taking a step back as his eyes landed on the girl.

Before anybody could say anything, Junhee had pulled himself to his feet, moving his sister out of the way as he grabbed ahold of Kyungjun. Pushing the boy against a beanbag, he directed punch after punch to the boy. He let his anger out with every punch and Jiwoo grimaced at the sound.

After a couple of hits, the others moved forwards and managed to get Junhee off the boy. One student held him back while the other had thrown themselves over Kyungjun's lap, keeping them separated as they spilled out insults.

Eventually, they calmed down enough to be free from the student's hold. As soon as Kyungjun sat up straight, he pointed towards a red marker on the floor. "Hey, what's that?" Jinha grabbed it, pulling himself to his feet shakily as the other students directed their eyes on the boy. Jiwoo was confused, this must have happened while she was in her room. "Did you write it with this? And you still say he's not Mafia."

Kyungjun held up the boy's hand with a scoff.

Mina reached out and grabbed the marker, examining it curiously. "What's this? Did you name them as Mafia?"

Immediately, he shook his head. "No, I didn't write that sign. Hey, guys, wait." Jinha attempted to defend himself as they took a step away from him. "Wait, don't do anything. I don't know what's going on! Honestly."

"We have the answer." Kyungjun called out, wiping the blood that had spilled from his nose with the back of his hand. "Vote already."

"You're also accused, so I would shut your mouth if I were you." Jiwoo snapped as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Grasping onto Junhee's leg, Jinha continued to plead for forgiveness. "Hey, Junhee, it wasn't me. You're class president! I don't know what's happening. Hey, wait, please, Jungwon, don't," he rushed towards the girl who had grabbed her phone, attempting to grasp it out of her grip.

"Pathetic." Jiwoo scoffed, rolling her eyes as she watched the boy once again attempt to plead his innocence.

"What a joke." Kyungjun had muttered at the same time as the girl, his gaze harsh as he observed his ex-friend. "He's a hundred percent Mafia! Let's vote and be done with it!"

Junhee took another step towards the boy. "Will you stop it? You killed Yujun too," if he was not certain the boy was Citizen, he would have tried to push the votes in his direction, but Junhee knew his sister had checked his identity, "we'll vote at eleven pm. You two should wait in a room."

Jiwoo once again found herself avoiding the eye of the boy who was desperately trying to communicate with her.
