All of a sudden, a girl screamed. It wasn't like she was being killed, though. It was more of a rage scream, and she was in the hallway. To make it worse, it wasn't Mi-jin or Ha-ri either.

~~~ 15 ~~~

A few zombies came up the stairs, but it wasn't nearly as bad as before.

"Gwi-nam..." I said as I looked at him.

He quickly grabbed my arm and ran to the front of the room, and pulled me down under the window.

We were hiding again.

I just hoped that the others were okay...

Suddenly, the girl started laughing. It sounded like... Min Eun-ji?

I could hear her running down the hall. She suddenly stopped right at the office. That's when she spoke, "I hear you."

She slowly opened the door. Gwi-nam stood up, knife in hand.

I tried to whisper, "No!" to him, but he wouldn't listen to me. I couldn't let him kill her.

She walked in. It was indeed Eun-ji. She looked different.

She suddenly screamed again, then fully opened the door, letting zombies flood the room. Her expression turned into one of satisfaction as she looked at Gwi-nam.

Gwi-nam had taken me to the back of the room, away from her.

I thought for sure that she was fucked as soon as she opened the door, but the zombies didn't care about her, and instead charged straight for us.

Gwi-nam instantly started killing them, but I was too shocked and my arm hurt.

"What are you doing??" I yelled at this unwanted guest, having to kill a zombie that lunged for my screaming voice.

"Revenge!" she screamed, angering all of the zombies. She looked and sounded crazy.

"Fuck.." Gwi-nam said under his breath.

Eun-ji looked increasingly more annoyed with every zombie we killed.

After a while, zombies stopped showing up. Maybe we were actually making a dent in this mess...

Eun-ji looked out the open door, then aggressively slammed it shut.

"What the fuck.." I whispered.

Gwi-nam put his hand on my shoulder, still looking at Eun-ji. "What do you want?" he asked her.

"To kill you," she smiled crazily.

"What??" I asked, confused. I turned to him. "Did you do something to her?"

He looked down.

"No one needs to die!" I yelled as she stared at us.

"I'll kill you too if you keep talking!" she said to me.

I stopped talking, but I squeezed my gripped on my knife.

Gwi-nam removed his hand from my shoulder. "Leave her out of this. This is between you and me. Come at me," he said.

Suddenly, Eun-ji charged at him from across the room.

What the fuck??

She had a bite mark on her neck.

Eun-ji pounced on Gwi-nam and was trying to bite him.

"Get off of him you psycho!" I screamed as I kicked her off of him. "Stab her, Gwi-nam! She's crazy!"

"I'm crazy?" she replied, scoffing. "He's the one who's made my life a living hell for two fucking years! But now, he's going to die, so it's okay!"

"You really are as crazy as everyone says," I told her.

She looked up at me, then back to Gwi-nam.

He stood back up. "Please, stay out of this one, y/n."

"She wants to kill you! I can't just stay out of it," I replied.

Eun-ji stood up. She looked at Gwi-nam, then said, "I'm so hungry..." before charging at him and biting his neck.

I quickly stabbed her in the side. She keeled over and I grabbed Gwi-nam's arm and ran to the other side of the room.

He was stunned by what Eun-ji did.

"Why didn't you just kill her?" I asked him frantically.

"I don't want to hurt anyone..." he replied.

I gave up, and instead changed the subject. "Give me the lighter. That's what we came here for."

He handed me the lighter without saying another word. He lifted his hand up to his neck and held it to stop the blood.

"Find something to cover that with," I told him. He nodded.

I grabbed some paper and stacked it, then lit it.

I waited, and started adding things to it until it was pretty big. It instantly set off the alarm and sprinklers.

Gwi-nam came back with a towel against his neck.

I didn't know where he got a fucking towel from, but I was glad he found one.

I checked on Eun-ji to make sure she was still down, then I took Gwi-nam's hand and led him out.

We ran up the stairs to join the others at the rooftop.

We got to the roof and realized that the others had already gone through the door, so we went through as well.

I let go of his hand once we were outside. Mi-jin saw us first. She ran up to me.

"Are you guys okay?" she asked.

I suddenly heard Ha-ri's bow. She was aiming at Gwi-nam.

"Hey, wait! Ha-ri, don't shoot," I told her.

"Remove the towel," she instructed Gwi-nam. "If it's a bite mark, I'm going to have to kill you."

"No, no! It wasn't a zombie, it was Eun-ji. Some crazy girl!" I yelled.

Ha-ri shifted her gaze to me. "What?"

"Go on, tell her!" I looked at Gwi-nam.

"Some kid I used to bully came back for revenge," he said.

Ha-ri didn't believe either of us.

Min-jae placed his hand on Ha-ri's shoulder and shook his head. She lowered her bow.

"If he turns, it'll be your fault," she told me.

I nodded thanks.

Mi-jin looked up sympathetically at him. "Are you sure she wasn't bit?"

"No, she wasn't. Zombies don't talk," he replied.

I decided it probably wasn't the best option to tell them that I saw bite marks...

"Stay far away from the rest of the group, Gwi-nam," Ha-ri announced to him.

"Alright, fine," he told her, gently nudging me to leave.

I just looked up at him and shook my head. I didn't want to leave him, because I knew he wouldn't turn.

He sighed in defeat. "Fine, then."

Ha-ri left it alone, and Mi-jin joined back with the archers.

Gwi-nam and I walked over to the other side of the rooftop.

"She was bit," I told him once we were far away enough from the others.

"I saw," he responded.

"You did?"

"Yeah, but she didn't turn. She must've been immune."

We kept walking until we got to the edge.

"If I turn, push me off," he instructed me.

I couldn't argue with him.

"So, if she is immune, then... does that make you immune, since she bit you?" I asked him.

He shook his head. "She was pretty sure I was going to die, so maybe not. I guess we'll find out."
