A/n - So I've just decided that the actual story of All of Us Are Dead makes no sense anymore, so I won't be following the show's storyline as much. I still hope you enjoy my made up story regardless! :)

"Everyone, get ready," Ha-ri announced.

~~~ 13 ~~~
She pushed the door open. Instantly, we were swarmed.
"Let's team up in pairs!" Min-jae yelled.
"Alright!" I agreed.
Ha-ri and Min-jae paired up, shooting the enemies from far away.
Mi-jin and Jun-seong took their pointy sticks and stabbed the zombies in the front.
I didn't even realize they had sticks to begin with, until now.
That left Gwi-nam and I to pair up, stabbing the zombies with our knives once they were on the sticks.
This formation held nicely, except for the fact that Gwi-nam was COMPLETELY ignoring me.
Zombies were no problem at all, however, and we cleared them out of the back nicely.
"Ha-ri, shouldn't you run back inside and grab more arrows?" I asked once we finished.
"No, there were no more," she responded.
"Hey, why don't you just take the arrows out of the dead zombies?"
"Too dangerous. Let's move."
"Hey, maybe she's right. Only get the ones that are close," Min-jae said while walking over to a dead zombie he had shot and retrieving his arrow.
Ha-ri gave him a defeated look, and she reluctantly obeyed.
Gwi-nam started helping Ha-ri and Min-jae get arrows from the other side.
Wait, what?
He was... being nice???
Eventually, we were all helping the two archers to speed up time, but it was surprising that Gwi-nam was the one to help first.
Once we had all of the arrows retrieved, we decided that it would be easiest to go through the cafeteria.
"Shouldn't we go through a window?" Mi-jin asked.
"Yeah, I think that's a good idea," I replied. "We can clear the cafeteria slowly through the windows."
"Oh, I meant one window, but I guess that makes more sense."
Ha-ri considered it, then nodded. "Let's do it."
We made our way to the back of the school.
"These windows should lead to the cafeteria," Jun-seong said.
I nodded.
I suddenly realized that Gwi-nam hadn't been talking. Although, I was too scared to say anything about it.
"Pairs!" Mi-jin yelled as she and Jun-seong opened a window.
"No, this time we should go in groups of three." Min-jae suggested.
With the yelling, zombies from within the cafeteria were flooding the window.
"Split!" I yelled.
Ha-ri, Jun-seong, and Gwi-nam all stayed at the window while Min-jae, Mi-jin, and I all ran to another window and opened it.
I started banging and making noise around the window to draw some zombies over.
"Not enough zombies are showin' up!" Mi-jin said while fighting off one on her stick.
I stabbed it in the head and moved to another.
"Let's just keep going," I said.
"Woah, woah, woah!!" Min-jae yelled, panic in his voice.
"What?!" I asked.
"Look!" he answered.
A bunch of zombies from the side, probably from the front of the school, had come to the back where we were at.
"OH SHIT!" Mi-jin yelled. "FUCK, what do we do?!?"
"I don't know! Don't panic, don't panic!" I said. "Let's regroup with the others!"
All three of us went back to join the other three. They had seen the zombies from our yelling.
Min-jae and Ha-ri were already killing some of the zombies from far away, but it wasn't enough.
It did slow them down as the other zombies would trip over their fallen teammates, which gave us some time to think.
We couldn't go into the cafeteria yet, since it wasn't cleared fully. We could go back, but we needed to leave for the roof now.
"We need to run!" Jun-seong said worriedly.
"We can't. Hold your ground for as long as possible," Ha-ri announced.
I couldn't tell how many there were. It was too dark to see much at all.
"This is what we agreed on, yeah? Then let's fucking go!" Mi-jin yelled, stabbing one of the approaching zombies in the neck.
It was pure chaos for a few seconds, but I could tell we were making progress in this zombie hoard.
All of a sudden, I heard a scream from beside me.
It was Jun-seong.
I pulled my knife out of the zombie I was killing, and pulled him back, not fully processing why he screamed just yet.
Jun-seong was still screaming, so I looked down.
He had a bite mark on his arm.
Mi-jin and Min-jae also noticed, and tried to help him.
I was in shock.
This couldn't be happening.
"Fuck!" Mi-jin yelled.
Jun-seong took his stick and threw it about 20 yards back, then jumped into the zombies.
"RUN!" he yelled.
"NO!" I screamed.
I started trying to kill the zombies attacking Jun-seong. I was yelling, and crying.
I tried to pull Jun-seong out of the group, but he was yelling at me to go.
Suddenly, I felt someone grab my arm and pull me away.
"We have to go!" Gwi-nam yelled. "We can't save him!"
I turned around and realized that Gwi-nam is the one who grabbed my arm.
The others held the hoard back while he tried to talk some sense into me.
"Go where?! Where should we go?" I yelled back.
Gwi-nam didn't listen, and instead held onto me so I wouldn't do anything stupid again. He grabbed my hand as a better alternative and firmly held it.
Gwi-nam stabbed a zombie that lunged at us.
"We need to leave!" Gwi-nam yelled to the others.
We were all running once again.
"Let's get to the gym. I have an idea," he continued, still holding onto my hand while running.
Min-jae was at front and opened the door for us.
Once everyone was inside, Min-jae closed it and locked it.
The snarling zombies were still banging on the door from the outside.
Everyone was mourning, including myself. I was still crying.
Gwi-nam let go of my hand, and I went to sit by the door. He almost walked over to me, but Mi-jin stopped him, and shook her head.
It was quiet for a couple minutes.
"It was all pointless, I guess," Mi-jin said. "We lost Jun-seong, for what?"
Gwi-nam tried to give us hope. "If we go now, we can leave through the front, and finish killing the other zombies from the other side of the cafeteria. Or, if we're lucky, we could sneak around them from inside."
"What's the point?" Min-jae said. "We're stuck in this school, and who says we are gonna make it out alive, even if we do help those survivors?"
"No, he's right. We should push forward, otherwise, Jun-seong's death would've been for nothing," Ha-ri announced, walking towards the other side of the gym.
Min-jae reluctantly followed her, and Mi-jin was about to, but I didn't move.
Mi-jin noticed, and Gwi-nam also stayed with me.
Mi-jin walked over to me and held her hand out. "We need to go, you heard Ha-ri," she said. I just buried my face in my arms as I wrapped them around my legs. "You really wanna let his death go to waste that badly?"
She walked over to me.
Gwi-nam tried to grab her but she just pushed him off.
"Get up!" she yelled.
The zombies continued banging on the door.
I had no choice. She had a good point, so I got up. We then started running for the front to catch up to Ha-ri and Min-jae.
~~~ End ~~~
