CHRISTINA WAS already 12 weeks. Getting bigger by the day. With the seele blood coursing through her veins it was speeding up the pregnancy. Just like it did with her mother. Izzy wanted to have a shadowhunter gender reveal before the baby came. Chris already knew the baby's gender. She felt it. She didn't tell Alec or anyone.

Chris was lying in bed waiting for her alarm to go off. She had an institute to run. Even while pregnant she still ran the Los Angeles institute with all she had. She did need to take it easy for her and the baby's sake so Roslyn and her mother helped out.

My alarm went off and I got up. I put on a black maternity dress and my red heels. Since my belly was growing each day I couldn't fit into my old clothes. I headed to my office. On the way I ran into my mom.

"Good morning, sweetheart. " She greeted, kissing my forehead. Then bending down to kiss my belly.

"Your father would be so happy and proud to see you. " She stated with a proud smile. "Thank you, mom." I said, returning a smile.

I walked into my office. There were papers that needed to be looked over for the clave. And reports. I sat at my desk and got to work. I spent hours in my office. I looked at the time on my computer it read; 8:30. I heard a portal opening. I walked out of my office. Alec came out. He was wearing a button up and his black cargoes. He had a smile on his face.

"Give them here. " He stated referring to my heels. I took them off and gave them over to him. He held them from the inside.I walked closer and kissed him for what felt like forever. "How was your day?" He asked in between kisses. "The same, yours?" I stated, the asked with a smile.

"Better now that I'm here with you... and you." He said kneeling down to my belly. "When did you get so corny?" I asked with a bright smile. He rolled his eyes at my question. And stood up. "When I met you." He stated, grabbing my hand while walking to my room. We both showered and cuddled all up. We never really had time to talk about baby names. So now just seems fitting.

"How about Gideon for a boy?" Alec asked."Great warrior." I stated I like it. But Alec I'm telling you it's not a boy. It didn't matter how many times I told him it wasn't a boy. He wouldn't believe it until I actually had the baby.

"It's a boy." He stated.

"Sure, how about Iris for a girl?" I asked. My dad would bring me them when I was sick or sad. Or just because. "Iris, it's beautiful." He said rubbing my belly.

"𝑰𝒓𝒊𝒔 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒂 𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒘𝒐𝒐𝒅." I said to myself knowing it would be our beautiful creation's name.
"Izzy's throwing us a gender reveal next week." I stated. Alec pushed the loose lock out of my face.

"I heard, it should be fun." He said. I will be unil you lose that 50$ over this bet. But I did feel like going back and forth on whether it was a girl or boy.

That next week came in no time. I was 18 weeks now. zzy and I were going shopping for a dress for me to wear for the gender reveal. Izzy thought it should be white.

"Okay, spill, is it a girl or a boy?"Izzy questioned with an eager expression.

"Iz I don't kn- I started but she cut me off. "I know all Blackthorns have seelies blood and that speeds up their pregnancies. And you can feel the baby development."She stated. "Well, someone's done their research."I said with my brows furrowed.

"Meliorn." Izzy stated. As she saw my confused but impressed look on my face. "Well , am I getting 50 dollars?"She questioned. "Yes you are." I said with a bright smile.

"Yes!"She exclaimed, hugging me tightly at the joyful news. "Name?"She asked. "Nope,not telling."

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋;

It was the day of the gender reveal. Alec and I we're getting ready. Izzy wanted to host it at the New York institute. I wore a white silk dress with some white heels with small black hearts. And Alec wore a white button up and white cargoes.

It was a casual event. Who am I kidding Isabelle Lightwood was hosting. Nothing about it could be casual.

Layla created a portal for us. My mom and siblings went earlier to help Izzy set up. When we made it and stepped through the portal. We had know idea what we were stepping into. The institute was filled with white and gold decorations. We were greeted by everyone with smiles. Clary walked up to me with a huge hug, so did jace. After an hour of mingling with the guests it was time for what everyone really came here for. Izzy had given Alec and I our bow and quivers . I was confused until she explained it. She had Magnus enchant a demon. For us to kill and when he disappears in ash it will be blue or pink. To tell us the gender. Now come on, that is pretty cool.

Alec and I got our arrows ready. The demon came rushing towards us. We both pulled back our bows and shot.

We both hit the demon in the head. It disintegrated into a blush pink dust. I jumped up into Alec's arms and he was so happy. Even though he swore up and down it was a boy he was so happy. Everyone was hugging and congratulating us. My mom and ros hugged me. Alec pulled me aside.

"I'm just happy that I created her with you. You are my everything."He stated cupping my cheeks.

"And your mine Alexander Gideon Lightwood."I said kissing him."Our little girl is sure going to be skilled." He stated wrapping his arm around me.

"Damn,right." Maryse walked over to us. "I just wanted to tell you, you both are going to be such great parents to your little girl."

"Thank you mom."

"Thank you Maryse. " I expressed reaching for a hug. Izzy then strutted over. She walked to Alec.

"Hey, Pay up big brother. " She stated. Causing me to snort as Alec Doug in his back pocket. He pulled out a 50$ and handed it to Izzy. She kissed him on the cheek and walked away.
