MAX'S RUNE CEREMONY was today in Idris and his party was tonight. Christina was freaking out reeking of anxiety. Alec and Christina were getting dressed at the New York institute. Alec had on his black suit and Chris had on a long back dress with a small slit.

They met Maryse, Max, and Izzy in Idris. His ceremony was starting. Izzy, Maryse, and Christina stood on one side and Clary and Jace on the other side. Alec walked Max down to the silent brother leading the ceremony. And it began max started the oath;

"𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈 𝐕𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐋 𝐓𝐎 𝐔𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐖𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐀𝐍."

Max rolled up his sleeve while brother Enoch began to draw his Voyance rune. Everyone congratulated littlest Lightwood.

"Congrats, Max you are officially a shadowhunter"
Christina exclaimed crouching down at Max's height.

"Thank you Chris." Max thanked, hugging her tight. Chris got up as Maryse walked towards her.

"So, your mother said we could have the party at the BlackThorn manor." Maryse said with a straight face. "Yes, I actually suggested it."Christina informed with a slight smile.

"Oh, well thank you."She expressed strutting away leaving Christina standing there. Alec came up from behind her placing his hands on her shoulders, leaning his head on hers. "She'll warm up."He attempted to comfort. Chris thought "yea, when I die."

After the ceremony I asked Izzy if she could come back to LA with me to set up for the party tonight. And I was still pretty nervous about tonight and Maryse reaction to the news.I still haven't told my mom, I just thought it would be easier telling them At once. Me and Izzy arrived at the BlackThorn manor. When we walked in there the twins were to greet us. They were dressed in pretty red dresses. With their little sparkly shoes.

After me and Izzy set up the party we changed our clothes upstairs. Izzy noticed that I was kinda starting to show. "How far did you say?" She said looking up at me as I slid on my dress. "3 weeks now."I said with a laugh. "I should get started on that gender reveal."

"One thing at a time Iz." I said with a smile. I wore a dark red wine colored dress with a slight slit and Izzy wore a black top crossed dress.

We had finished setting up the manor, Alec texted that they were on the way. Izzy was talking to Ros. I didn't tell her that Magnus was coming. I probably should've but it's not like I did to hurt her but she does need to come to terms with her feelings. But maybe it's none of my business. A portal had appeared and Alec ,Maryse and Max stepped through. Then shortly after Jace, Clary, and Magnus. Roslyn immediately turned to him then looked over at me. I was showing Max and the twins all my runes when Roslyn pulled me up.

"You invited Magnus!?" She questioned in shock. "I did, now excuse me." I said, trying to brush past her. She then pulled my arm backwards towards her."Why?" She questioned looking me in the eye. "Because, he is my friend and a friend of the lightwoods."

"That's crap Chris." She said with a glare. I simply walked off and went back to the kids. Alec walked up to me and whispered in my ear;
"You ready?"

"Can we wait till the cake?" I asked as he laughed at my response, wrapping my arms around him. Alec grabbed a glass and a spoon and tapped the glass a few times. To grab everyone's attention with Christina at his side. Once all eyes were on them Cristina spoke.

"Hi, everyone Alec and I have an anointment to make." She said looking at everyone in the room.

"We're....pregnant!" Christina exclaimed with a bright smile on her face. There families surrounded them with hugs and smiles. Even Maryse was happy for the two. She soon later pulled them to the side.

"Congratulations." She said with a smile reaching to hug Christina. "I'm sorry for how I've been acting." She said into the hug.

"It's okay," Chris said. "Your support is an apology enough." Alec axed hugging his mother. Shortly after Maryse ended their hug Diana, Christina's mother congratulated the happy couple.

"I'm so happy for you both. " "Thanks mom." Christina said hugging her mom and planting a kiss on her cheek.

The party was winding down. Guests were beginning to leave. I was feeling a bit nauseous and tired, Alec took me to my room. I put on some pajamas and laid in my bed. Alec crouched on the side where my head rested on a pillow.

"See, I told you it would all be okay." He said with one of those warm Alec Lightwood smiles, the one that made girls spoon. I know it's cliché but that's what happened when he smiled.

"You did, and I was."

"I love you, I'll see you in the morning back at the institute." He said, planting a kiss on my lips. "Stay awhile?"

He nodded and gave a smile, took off his shoes and cuddled up next to me. Life seemed so simple, Happy In this moment. I would even say I finally had that light back in my life. After my dad everything just went dark and cold. But when I met Alec I fell in love with him, he brought that light and warmth back into my life. I don't know how, I don't know why. But he did.

It won't ever be the same without my dad. But I was starting a new chapter in my life. He always wanted me, all of us to be happy. For once after his death I am. And so is my family.

I woke up out of my sleep to what sounded like a portal being created. I slowly got out of bed trying not to wake Alec. I opened my bedroom door and peaked out to see Magnus leaving with his coat in hand. And the shirt barely buttoned, I guess they "talked."
