killed people. People I don't know, my family, my friends...so why do you treat me like an equal?"

"Our past doesn't represent who we are today. Especially if you've taken that step to change." I flinched when his fingers focused on twirling a lock one by one, swirling it in between his fingers, just like that upper moon three did on that fateful day. I dug my face further into his chest. "You have taken more than a step. You've taken a leap, and therefore are willing to beat your past and the evil around us. Why wouldn't I treat you like an equal? Just because I was born with a high status means nothing." He slowly lowered his head until his eyebrows lay on top of my head. "At the end of the day, we are all people...halfing or not."

I only stayed silent in his soft embrace that felt like the warm summer day in the gardens. The scent of the flowers and wet grass nearby the pond, the music of the water fountain nearby, the harmony of the birds, the warmth that spilled onto your skin through the branches and leaves above until it lit up your eyes like a thousand stars.

Yeah...that was how I would describe it perfectly...

I sighed, finally relaxing in his embrace and the wind's soft words spoke through the gardens ahead.
