The woman let out another pained grunt, her arms still outstretched either side of her as she felt the chains loosen and her wounds healing- much faster than anything she had been able to do before.

By her feet, another empty vial sat, a small drop of blood staining the floor beside it, and marks of saliva around the edges- someone has only drunk from it moments ago.

That someone was her.

It was just after another session of pain through Muzan. Akaza soon appeared at the cry of his name, tears streaming down her cheeks, her body no longer holding as many organs as it did- most of them disposed on the floor beside her- no doubt from what Muzan had done to her this time, but soon, they faded, and once she drank from the vial, they regrew almost immediately.

Things were going well- much better than any plan she had come up with, in fact, and it almost seemed as though she was waiting for something to go wrong. Akaza might betray her, Muzan could give up and finally kill her, the biwa demon might find out about their schemes and inform Muzan. So many things could go wrong at any moment, but for whatever reason, it all seemed to be going so right.

Perhaps Akaza was doing something because of her lack of knowledge? Perhaps it was going so right because it was Muzanโ€™s plan for her to team up with Akaza? Perhaps the gods were finally on her side?

She didn't know, but for now, she will have to wait, because that's all she can do in such a place.

The halfling was in chains, after all. Under constant supervision so she didn't step out of line at any point, and in the one place she couldn't escape, no matter what. She could only ever escape unless Muzan wished for it, and the only way that could ever happen, would be if she agreed to work with him, and even then, be under constant supervision of his demons.

She really was in a tight position.

All she could do was wait for Muzans next beatdown, and only then would she be able to get the last amount of blood that she needs before her and Akaza make a real plan on what to do next, and even then, the odds were slim.

Somehow, Akaza needed to get the blood of upper moon 1, Kokushibo. However, getting the blood of the second most powerful demon to existโ€ฆthat's not an easy feat.

The only reason Akaza was able to get Domaโ€™s blood was due to their constant conflict, so nobody thought anything of it, but for the calm and collected yet horrifically violent Upper Moon 1โ€ฆ.that's a bit more tricky.

The only way he could think of getting that blood, would be to challenge him for his title, fight him, and in the process, quickly take a vial of his blood. But, that was only if he wasn't killed first.

Akaza is strong, but nowhere near as strong as the six-eyed demon- hell, even Doma. Both of them were on a completely different level, and that's not even considering what Muzan could do to all of them if he even thought about it.

The halfling ran a hand through her hair, eyes closing as she felt a small headache come on at even the thought of what could happen. She could practically feel herself slowly becoming eaten by the ground and swallowed into her grave through even the thought of what would come next.

How would Akaza do this?

How much more pain could she take?

How long before Muzan killed her?

How long did Ubuyashiki have left?

She shook her head of her thoughts, but couldn't help her sense of dread growing at the last question. She didn't know how long she had been here, and she could hardly remember the last time she saw that man healthy. The last time she saw him he was coughing bloodโ€ฆ

How long did he have left? Her closest friend, the man who took her in and showed her kindness for the first time in centuries, the man who became one of the only people she has ever grown to care aboutโ€ฆ.

How long did he have left, and would she be there for his final moments?

At even the thought, she felt as though tears would brim at her eyes at any moment, but for now, she didn't have the time, nor the strength to let out a tear. She puffed out her chest, taking a steady breath, all before she let her mind settle.

Even if she wasn't, there would be no doubt in her mind that he knows where she is and the circumstances she is under. He was always good at that.

She was just glad she got to know him at all. If not, who knows where she would have beenโ€ฆ

โ€œGoddamnit..โ€ She mumbled to herself, falling back against the panelled floor, the chains around her wrists rattling, her heart steady as she slowly closed her eyes and took a breath.

She was exhausted. Even if she couldn't sleep here, she could at least allow herself the luxury of laying down- even if it were for a minute or so.

She couldn't help but wonder how the others were doing. Had Sanemi made up with his brother yet? What about Tanjiro- Had he gotten a new sword yet? Had Zenitsu fallen in love with another woman again-

โ€ฆ.

Actually, (Y/N) didn't really need an answer to that one..

She let out a small chuckle, smiling as she let her eyes close in peace.

That boy really was somethingโ€ฆ

โ€œWhat you smiling about~โ€

Her eyes snapped open, lips parting with panic, all as she tried to sit up, but was forced back down by two hands on her shoulders.

Doma smiled down at her, his eyes chilling, contrasted by his crude smile. โ€œNow now. There's no need to worry, it's just me~โ€ He smiled, patting her head before he moved his hands away from her layed down form and knelt beside her with a childish grin.

The woman grit her teeth, scoffing to herself before she sat up and rested her forearm against her propped up knee. โ€œAnd what if I was worrying because it was you?โ€

The demon let out a wide laugh at her words. โ€œMy, you really are funny, you know that?โ€ He giggled out, leaning back on his palms, his legs crossing.

The woman remained where she sat, narrowing her eyes coldly. โ€œWhy are you here? Go away.โ€ She demanded, fist clenching at her side.

โ€œMay I remind you which one of us is in chains?โ€ The demon taunted, tilting his head at her, almost in a challenging manner, humming a small tune to himself.

The woman grit her teeth, huffing, all before she turned away from him to look out into the fortress. โ€œAnswer my question.โ€

The demon only huffed, leaning back and closing his eyes. โ€œAh, you're no fun. I guess I was bored, and you don't have anything better to do, soโ€ฆโ€ He trailed off, opening one of his eyes to glance at her from the corner of it.

โ€œYouโ€™re wrong. I could be sitting here on my own, and it would still be better than spending time with you.โ€

The man suddenly reacted, grabbing a hold of the cloth above his heart and falling onto his back until he was laying on the floor. โ€œOh, you wound me..!โ€ He let out a sigh, all before he sat up and leaned his head against his palm. โ€œAlthough, I did lie about being bored.โ€ The woman raised a brow at him, humming to herself before he explained. โ€œI actually wanted to see how you tasted- your flesh, I mean.โ€

It was all so sudden. The demon grabbed each chain that was around her wrist, all before using them to force her to the ground, and using one hand, using her chains to hold her against the ground as he climbed on top of her, his free hand caressing her cheek gently.

She could hardly react in time, her eyes wide and her body struggling against the chains, but to no avail, even as the demon leaned down close to her face. โ€œYou- Get off of me!โ€ She exclaimed, rage filling her eyes and a horrid feeling bubbling in her chest.

โ€œI will, if you give me some of your flesh.โ€ he gave a childish grin down at her, but his eyes held something much deeper- the desire for blood. โ€œI mean, you did it earlier when eating yourself, soโ€ฆLet me try some.โ€

The woman grit her teeth, scoffing to herself as she felt his grip on her chains tighten, her hands that were pinned above her head, shuffling in the grip. โ€œYouโ€™ll get off if I let you eat my flesh?โ€

He nodded quickly, closing his eyes and smiling like an excited child. โ€œYup!โ€

After a moment of debate, the woman glanced away and slowly nodded. โ€œFine. get off me.โ€

The demon nodded, but he kept a hold of her chains as he sat up and pulled her up with him. โ€œOkie dokie!โ€ He exclaimed, obviously happy as he continued to keep his grip on her chains, her eyes narrowing.

The woman remained silent as he scanned over her body, looking where to eat, all before he smiled, his eyes set on her right shoulder. โ€œhmmโ€ฆI chose..here.โ€

She didn't have time to react, all before he went in and bit into her shoulder, her eyes widening in pain, but before she could let out a grunt, his free hand went to cover her mouth, muffling her small cry of pain, his teeth digging into her shoulder, blood spilling from the wound and staining his lips.

It only took a moment before he tore away a piece of her flesh with his teeth, the woman crying out under his palm, the demon licking his lips from blood, all before he swallowed and hummed with satisfaction. โ€œThat was much nicer than I thought it would be..!โ€ He grinned, all before his eyes turned dark, his hand still over her mouth. โ€œI think i might try more~โ€

The woman's eyes widened as he went into her healing shoulder for more, but all of a sudden, his head flew clean off, his body falling to the ground, and the splatter of blood staining the ground.

Akaza kicked the body away from the halfling as the demon's head regrow back onto his body and he sat up, tilting his head at the demon. โ€œOh, Akaza- dono! I didn't think you were here!โ€ He grinned, looking up at him and seeming innocent.
โ€œLeave.โ€

That was all Akaza spoke before Doma huffed to himself, standing to his feet. โ€œFiiiiine. Youโ€™re no fun.โ€ And with that, his image disappeared, leaving the duo, the woman's shoulder fully healing moments later

Akaza turned to her, his hand falling on her once bitten shoulder, a saddened look in his eyes as she remained silent. โ€œI'm sorry I wasn't here.โ€

The woman shook her head, looking down and fiddling with her fingers. โ€œIt's fine. It healed anyway..โ€

Akaza only sighed, gently taking the woman into a hug, his hand landing on the back of her head and around her waist as he pulled her close, his cheek leaning on her head. โ€œIโ€™m sorry..โ€
