You got inside the car as you sighed happily. "So you just wanted to watch the sunrise together? In a place where we're too far from Dallas?"
Nico nodded. "Well, I love this place. I come here sometimes and you guys don't even know it. Why? You don't like it?"
"I'm more of a night person." You admitted. "I love staring at the stars and the moon. Makes you feel comfort."
Nico smiled as he started turning on the engine. You took the baseball cap off your head. "What about Lenora?"
Nico paused and turned to you. "Hmm?"
"Is she a morning person or a night person?"
"Morning person. She loves going to the cemetery every day to visit her mama and I was always there to drive her there or pick her up. She would read the bible to her mama, hoping she would hear her."
"So you're family's religious?"
"Yeah." Nico nodded. "Grandma's religious, Daddy's was kind of obsessed with it and even killed my dog, Jack."
You frowned. "Well, that's awful."
"He thinks if he made a sacrifice, it would cure my mother who was ill."
"What sickness was it?"
"Cancer."
"I'm sorry."
"It's alright," Nico said as he patted your head. "I've learned how to move one from the past. With the help of you and Elliott."
"What did we do?"
"Well, you two became my second family. At least for a few months, we shared some fun times together. Moments that I will cherish forever."
You gave Nico a hug. "I really am going to miss you, you big doofus."
"I'm going to miss you too." Nico chuckled as he hugged you back. "But I'm going to take my cap back please."
You chuckled and gave the baseball cap back to him. "Should we head home?"
The young man nodded. "Sure. Let's go eat something at least. Hopefully, Elliott cooked something nice."
"I swear to God if he made that moldy food again I'm leaving." You joked out earning a laugh from Nico.
It was just a few minutes since Nico started driving but you, unaware of what was happening with your siblings even Elliott's death, looked at Nico's watch on his wrist as he drives. Your hands were sweating, you were mindlessly playing with your thumbs nervously, your heart was racing. It felt like something was happening, or about to happen.
Or maybe something happened.
You shakily took a deep breath. "N-Nico, would you, um, drive a little bit faster?"
Nico glanced at you and stayed focus on the road. "Sure. You okay?"
"Just have a really bad feeling. I'm worried."
"About what?"
"I-I don't know j-just.... drive."
Nico nodded and drove a little bit faster to get home. He held your hand with his other hand. "You have nothing to worry about. Everything's fine."

"We got a minute left!" Luther exclaimed, slamming his fist on the trash bin impatiently.
Klaus, who was laying on the ground after puking Ben out, looked around. "What's going on, guys?" He asked hoarsely. "Are we going somewhere?"
Five ignored Klaus' question. "It was a simple task. It was a simple task!" Five exclaimed in frustration and annoyance. "All we had to do was be here. Didn't have to fight a giant sea monster, no. An army of mutants? Nein."
Five had told Vanya about coming back to the alley, Diego had informed Ben who's inside Klaus' body, Luther had said about it to Allison. It was really simple but of course, there were obstacles they faced and Five didn't know about it. He was worried too.
He couldn't find you. He looked everywhere but he couldn't find you. Five looked around, walking impatiently and worriedly. 'Where the hell is she?'
Luther looked down at his watch. "I can't believe this."
"It was handed to us on a silver platter." Five continued his rant.
"Could you just moan a little softer? My head is killing me." Klaus sat up, raising his hands up to press them together on both sides of his head in pain.
"Listen to me, you useless puke bag, we just blew our chance to save the world!" Five told Klaus, his toner getting higher in anger.
Then they all heard the briefcase making a noise. Five looked down and sighed in annoyance, scoffing. "God damn it."
"Shit." Luther sighed.
Five shouted in anger as he tossed the briefcase away. The briefcase has disappeared in thin air, their chance of leaving the timeline was gone. Five huffed. "We were that close. That close." Five turned around to head back inside the building, scratching the back of his head.
"Now what?" Luther asked.
"Now nothing, Luther, all right? Make your peace with God."
"What? What about Allison, Vanya, or-or (Y/n)?"
"Screw them both and about (Y/n), well she didn't know the plan because we couldn't find her so we still have to find her because if she gets hurt I'll probably fucking kill everyone. Everyone should have been here."
"What about Diego?" Klaus asked. "He's quite a responsible young man, no?"
Five angrily kicked a pile of boxes just beside a dumpster.
"Something must've happened to them," Luther said.
"Screw Diego, all right?" Five exclaimed. "Screw Allison and Vanya for not coming! I was better off on my own in the apocalypse."
"Five!" Luther scolded. "Come on."
"You know what, Luther? It's every sibling for himself now. How 'bout that?" Five raised his hands in defeat and opened the door to the building before slamming it again as he entered
Klaus sighed and whimpered. "Did Five just get meaner?"
"Klaus, go check on Allison, okay?" Luther ordered Klaus. "Make sure she's okay. Find the others and we'll meet back here. I'll handle Five."
Luther followed Five while Klaus stood up and faced Ben who was covered in puke. "And you, you have had your possession privileges revoked."
"I regret nothing," Ben replied as he watched Klaus walked away from him.
"Just stay out of me."
"I regret nothing!"
"Back off!"
Luther followed Five up the stairs, catching up to him. "Hey! Five, doomsday is still coming. We gotta think of a new plan."
"Don't you get it, Luther? It's over, all right? We're already dead."
"Then where are you going?"
"I'm going to try and find (Y/n) then I'm going to do the unthinkable."
"The hell is that supposed to mean?"
"I was really hoping it wouldn't have come to this." Five muttered under his own breath.
"Come to what, Five?" Luther asked. When Five ignored him, he continued to call his name. "Five."
Five suddenly froze when he heard a scream of agony just as he stepped on the floor where Elliott was living. Five looked at Luther who pointed his finger at the room. "Why does that sounded like..."
"(Y/n)." Five realized. He spatial jumped and appeared inside the building, no longer waiting for Luther. Five's eyes widened as he saw your back facing him, your feet were above the ground, you were floating. He looked around to see an unconscious Nico finally waking up. "Luther!"
Finally, Luther came. "What?" He turned to you and his mouth hung open. "What the hell?"
"Bring Nico out. I'll take care of this."
Luther looked down at Nico and immediately helped him out and walked out of the building.
Five looked back at you as he slowly approached you. "(Y/n)?" Five asked, his hand reaching out for you.
You turned around, your eyes glowing dark red, and tears were streaming down your face. Your feet finally touched the ground. "You shouldn't have come here."
"What?"
"Elliott fucking died because of you! All of you!" You raised your hand up, throwing a table right at Five but Five quickly dodged the heavy object.
"(Y/n), we get it, you're upset." Five said, trying to calm you down. "And we're just as upset as you are. Elliott doesn't deserve this."
"You're right." You chuckled darkly. "He doesn't fucking deserve it. You do, though." You raised your other arm and used your powers throwing some utensils at him. Five spatial jumped and reappeared behind you. He grabbed both of your hands and pulled them towards him and his arm wrapped around your neck. "(Y/n), enough. I don't want to fight you!"
You moved your finger, moving a kettle and flying it towards Five's head. Five winced in pain, letting you go, but were mostly glad that the kettle wasn't burning hot.
Five spatial jumped causing you to look everywhere but calmly. Five reappeared in front of you and kicked your stomach causing you to fall on the ground. He never wanted to hurt you but this was getting out of hand. You slid your leg on the floor, losing the balance of Five. Five fell down on the ground while you stood up.
You turned to finish him but you were smacked in the head with a pan by Five. You winced in pain but ignored it as you lifted the little man up. Five struggled to get out from your powers even his spatial jump was no use. You sighed. "This wouldn't have happened if you guys never came. We were happy. And now Elliott's dead."
"Let me talk to you, (Y/n)."
"We are talking, dumbass."
"No. The real (Y/n). You're a monster. A monster formed from her anger, sadness, and guilt. All negative things formed you that's why you're doing this."
Your left eye twitched, your head tilted a bit to the side, and your fists clenched, your powers holding Five tighter. Five winced, trying not to scream in pain. You stared at him blankly and numbly as if you didn't care if you would hurt him or kill him.
'Kill him? No. No, no! Not Five! Nor my family! I'm not going to kill them! Get the fuck away from him!'
You winced in pain, your eyes glitching back and forth of your eyes going back to normal and then back to your dark glowing red eyes.
"(Y/n), I know you're in there."
'Leave him alone!'
You gasped for air, your eyes returning back to normal. Five fell in the ground, coughing while you stumbled backward, and ended up falling on the ground as well. Five turned to you and slowly approached you but you pushed yourself away. "No! Stay away from me! I-I hurt you. I almost killed you!"
"(Y/n), I'm fine." Five reassured.
"No!" You shook your head. "I'm dangerous, I-I could've killed you, and oH MY GOD EVEN NICO! I-I was just grieving wh-when I found out about..." You gasped loudly. "Elliott's death."
"(Y/n), you didn't kill me that's what matters." Five reassured again as he approached you closer but you kept on going back.
"Five, if me almost killing you doesn't raise any goddamn red flags, then you must be crazy."
"You were grieving, angry, and you didn't know what you were doing."
"It's no excuse, Five. And having some sort of weird amnesia is also no excuse!"
Five then realized something. "You still haven't remembered anything?"
You stared at him, wiping your tears, before nodding. "Y-Yeah... just small bits but mostly... no. Th-There's progress but... small ones. I don't know."
Luther came inside and found you and Five on the floor. Five turned to Luther and you instantly looked up to him. "Luther! How's Nico?" You asked worriedly.
"He was kind of in shock. He's just outside, processing things." Luther explained. "A-Are you okay now?"
You shook your head as you hugged yourself. "How can I possibly be okay? A girl who has fake memories and who's clearly unstable. Yeah, as if that would be okay."
"I-I was just asking..."
"You're afraid." Five suddenly spoke.
You instantly turned to Five while Luther's eyes widened in shock. "Five, not right now."
"I'm afraid?" You asked in disbelief.
"Afraid of remembering."
You stared at him in disbelief while Luther signaled Five to stop. You blinked at the little man in front of you. "What are you on about?"
"I noticed, (Y/n). How you remember the little things that made you happy. Remember that day? When we were dancing and you quoted Dad? You were happy."
"Becauseβ"
"But when we told you about your traumatic past you couldn't remember. You're afraid of the memories being real and true."
You shook your head in denial. "No. I swear I'm not afraid. I want to remember, Five! You know that."
"Then maybe you don't know you're afraid. (Y/n), we can't progress if you're afraid to remember."
"I swear, Five. I really want to progress but... I don't know why I can't. If I'm afraid then what should I do?"
Five sighed as he thought for a bit. He suddenly has an idea. "Okay, I need you to do this to me, close your eyes."
"What?" You questioned.
"What?" Luther asked as well.
"Trust me on this." Five reassured. "I know you have your reasons not to trust me but please trust me on this one."
You sighed and closed your eyes, taking a deep breath. "Okay... now what?"
"I need you to remember the Room."
Luther suddenly sat down and scooted over to Five. "Five, are you nuts? You're making her remember the Room?"
"I got this, okay? I know what I'm doing." Five turned back to you. "I know all you see is black but I need you to remember the Room and the door." Five explained. "The Room was painted with grey and the door wasβ"
"Red." You finished. Luther and Five exchanged looks. Your eyes were closed but inside your mind, you were alone in the Room, locked up, and a bright red door was in front of you. "Dad used to lock me up here to open the red door. Sometimes he would lock me up here as a punishment."
Inside your mind, you were walking around the room, your fingertips softly touching the walls. "Little did he know he created a phobia for me. Tight spaces... it was hard."
"The old man didn't even bother to put a painting or any decorations."
"But you were there." You said, earning a look from Five, his stare was soft with a mixture of worry. "You would stay with me, keep me company, hiding from Dad because you might get caught hanging out with me in the Room. You would spatial jump inside when Dad's finally gone then spatial jump back to your room when Dad or Pogo's gonna let me out."
Luther looked down at Five who also remembered those days. A brief smile was shown on Five's face. He was in relief that you could remember again.
"Until you disappeared."
His smile disappeared. Five looked down, his jaw clenched as you continued. "I was waiting. Alone. I know I sounded dependent but you were the reason why I feel strong whenever I'm in the Room. Dad grew tired so he would fetch Vanya to take me out of the Room. We would make your favorite sandwich. I left the house and never stepped inside to that room again."
Five held your hands, his thumb brushing the top of your hands. "Now, I need you to open the door."
"Five..."
"Opening the door means you could remember everything. The Room that you're in right now represents how you or your mind locked yourself up and opening the door is the key to reveal you your true memories. Open it, (Y/n). Remember that I'm your little gremlin."
Your eyes clenched closed as you lowered your head down, gripping Five's hands. Luther placed his hand on your shoulder in comfort. "Don't worry, (Y/n). Five's here. I'm here. Even if the others aren't here, we all know they're always here for you."
In your mind, you stood up and faced the red door. You stretched out your arms and tried to open the door. Your eyes flickered into red eyes, a mist-like shape formed around your hands and the doorknob. The door won't open but you don't plan on giving up.
"You gotta be strong, Eight. It's the only way for you to overcome your fear. To get out of this room."
"I'm weak, Five. I'm not like you. You have no weakness."
"No. You're wrong. I also have weaknesses. My family is my weakness. You're my weakness."
You stretched out your other arm to open the door as Five's words from the past echoed in your mind.
"Why this room is driving you nuts."
"Do tell."
"Dark and empty. People ignoring your pleas and screams. I know you're scared of being alone, Eight. And that's why I'll be here. I'll be here whenever dad puts you here."
"You don't have to do that, Five."
"I want to help you. And I will help you, every day."
"Thank you, Five. For everything."
"Anything for you."
You screamed and slammed the door wide open. The force made you sat back down to the ground. You panted as bright light entered the room and consumed it.
"Every night, you'd always make a little snack and I help you then make sure all the lights were on."
Your siblings' voices echoed as you slowly started remembering.
"You're so small that I can hug you like a pillow!"
You stepped closer to the opened door as the blinding light became brighter.
"Apparently, I'm the delivery of messages now. Ben said he misses you."
You reached out outside.
"Then why are you here instead of asking questions to Pogo about what happened?"
"I don't know... I've missed you I guess..."
You were closer to get out.
"Well, that's what you always do to me. Making me soft whenever you're around."
"You know, that's what I like about you. Being annoyingly stubborn and being a cute guy."
"You like me?"
"I blurted that out. I was also thinking out loud. Don't make a deal about it."
"It's kinda hard not to make a big deal out of it considering that I've always liked you since we were kids. Do you... wanna... go out...? Tomorrow...?"
"Tomorrow sounds good."
The blind light slowly faded away revealing you're still in the Room. But the door was opened and it revealed your family. It was your siblings and Reginald. Your siblings were 13-year-olds again. They were wearing a proud and supportive smile. "Congratulations, Number Eight. You opened the door." Reginald said.
"Dad." You softly gasped. "Th-Thanks, I guess."
"You could rest for now. I must return to my office." Reginald gave you a nod before walking away. Once your father's gone, Vanya, the shy girl of the group, didn't hesitate to hug you. "You did it! I'm proud!"
You chuckled and hugged her back. "Thanks, Vanya."
Ben joined in and hugged you. "Congrats, sis."
"Thank you, Ben."
Klaus excitedly joined the hug, kissing the top of your head. "Baby sis opened the door by herself! She deserves a group hug!"
You giggled as Allison joined in, then Luther, then Diego. "Love you, guys."
"Love you too!"
Then they all pulled away. They waved at you as they went back to their rooms. Vanya gave you a pat on the shoulder, smiling, before walking away. You looked around to spot Five just leaning against the wall, his hands tucked inside his pockets. "I knew you could do it."
You smiled at him as you leaned on the doorframe. "Well, you were all there to support me, especially you. So, thank you."
"It was all you." Five smiled. "You're strong, (Y/n)."
"So are you."
"Because you're also my strength. You make me weak too. You make me strong and weak every single day." Five approached you and pulled you towards him, hugging you. You didn't know what to do but you hugged him back, burying your face on his shoulder. Five softly sighed and kissed
