You clutched Five's arm as you struggled to contain yourself from vomiting all over Five. "I am not teleporting with you ever again." You managed to say before clasping your hand over to your mouth.
Five sighed. "We teleported together when we were kids, Eight. I thought you're used to it."
"Let me guess, we teleported like once or twice?"
"Twice."
"That was probably years ago! Eons! Whatever! Warn me next time if you're gonna teleport with me."
Five shook his head before walking away while you followed behind. Five pushed the cornstalks away as he looked for something. You and Five are in the cornfield looking for something or someone who caused the alarm on Elliott's little machine back in the building. "Who or what are we looking for again?" You asked. Five saw a glimpse of the effects of the sound waves, literally wiping out most of the cornstalks. "Our sister." Five sighed before continuing on his way.
"Allison?"
"No. Vanya."
"Ohh, I didn't know I have another sister. How many are we exactly?"
"We're eight in total. Dad adopted 8 children and doesn't even like children."
You nodded silently. "I don't think I know my other brothers' names. I know Luther and Diego. How about the rest?"
"The other one's Klaus."
"What are his powers?"
"He can talk to ghosts."
"Well, that's pretty neat. Who's the other one?"
Five sighed, scratching his nape. "The other one's, uh, Ben. He's... well.... dead."
You stopped on your tracks causing Five to stop too and look at you. "He's dead?"
"Unfortunately, yes." Five said. "Gone too soon."
"What's, um, his powers?"
"He can bring out like monster tentacles out from his body. He didn't want his powers as far as I can remember."
You looked down and followed Five again when he started walking. "That's sad. I wish I could meet him right now to at least see him or talk to him."
"Don't worry. Maybe Klaus can help you with that when you two finally meet again."
Five finally found his sister, Vanya, sitting on the ground. Vanya heard footsteps approaching her. Five found his way to Vanya and grabbed your hand in case you get lost. Five pushed the cornstalks away from him. He spread out the cornstalks away to see his sister and smiled down at her. "Hi, Vanya."
"Who are you?" Vanya asked. You took a peek from Five's shoulder and Vanya noticed you. "Who is she?"
"I'm your brother and she's your sister." Five answered. "Well, adopted. All of us are adopted."
"I have a brother and a sister?"
You raised your hand. "If it makes you feel better, I also didn't know I have 7 siblings." You waved at her and smiled. "So, uh, hi!" Vanya gave you a small wave too, smiling a bit.
"Look, you can either stay here and wait for the IKEA mafia to come back to kill you, or you can come with us." Five told Vanya as he walked away. You and Vanya looked at him in surprise before following him from behind. "Kill her? Wait who's killing her?" You asked with pure concern.
"Wh... Why are they trying to kill me?" Vanya asked.
"'Cause, you're not supposed to be here, Vanya. All of us, actually."
"In Dallas?"
"No. Here, in 1963."
Vanya stopped for a while and swatted a leaf away from her face and then looked at you for more answers but you just shrugged. You both continued to follow Five and you finally saw what he saw earlier. "Holy shit." You and Vanya muttered.
"Yeah, pretty wild, right?" Five smirked before continuing to walk. "It's good to see your powers are still intact. Let's go." You and Vanya continued to walk but you stared a bit on the burnt area of the field. It was as if one asteroid hit this place but you know it's impossible because the asteroid would've destroyed Dallas. You looked at Vanya who was still pretty shocked by the area. 'Woah. She did this? Well, that's kinda cool.'
"Did those men came for you too?" Vanya asked.
"Yeah. Just minutes after I came here to Dallas. They killed Hazel as soon as I got away." Five explained.
"How come I didn't see no one coming after me?" You asked.
"Well, probably because they think you're dead."
You frowned. 'Why does everybody think I'm dead? What the hell happened?'
Five pointed in a direction. "I think there's a nearby diner there. We could stay there for a while. I need a coffee anyway."
'How does he knoβ?' You shook your head. 'You know what, never mind.'
You three arrived at a nearby diner and entered the place. You both sat on the chairs and a waitress in a blue dress and white apron took your orders: a donut for you, coffee for Five, and just water for Vanya. The order came and the waitress placed down your orders.
You munched down a donut while the waitress poured some coffee down on Five's cup and on the other side was Vanya, trying to process things. Once the waitress is done, she was about to leave but Five stopped her. "Leave the pot, dear."
You cocked an eyebrow at him and then suddenly remembered how old he actually is. The lady stared down at the boy before setting the pot of coffee down. "Thank you."
"Lippy little shit." The waitress muttered. You heard the mutter causing you to glare at the elderly woman, unknowingly you used your powers to trip her with one little move of your finger. The customers gasped when she fell including you and Vanya while Five's eyes widened a little bit. The woman instantly stood up and looked down on the floor to see what she tripped on before heading back to the kitchen.
Five softly chuckled and smirked at you. "Why'd you do that?"
Your eyes widened and turned to Five. "H-Huh?"
"You tripped her."
"I didn't do such a thing. I was just staring at her and then she fell."
"Darling, your powers is to control anything with your mind and one move of your hand. She didn't tripped on anything meaning you tripped her."
You blinked before looking back at the woman who was serving some customers then back to Five who sipped on his coffee. You sank your shoulders down a little bit, feeling surprised a bit sorry to the lady you just tripped. Vanya turned to Five. "You gonna tell me what the hell's going on?" Vanya asked.
"When you were a baby, you were brought by an eccentric billionaire. He raised you in an elite academy with seven other siblings with extraordinary powers, but in the year 2019, in order to avoid the apocalypse, we jumped into a vortex and ended up being scattered throughout the timeline in Dallas, Texas." Five explained.
You and Vanya blinked twice trying to process everything Five just said. Five turned to you. "I also don't really know how you got here in Dallas. I'm also trying to figure that out, don't worry." Five turned back to Vanya who was still in disbelief. "Any questions?"
"What do you mean, 'the apocalypse'?"
Five took a deep breath. "I mean the end of the world as we know it."
"Yeah, but how?"
Five stared at Vanya first for a bit before asking her a question. "You really don't remember anything?"
Vanya shook her head. "No, nothing before a month ago."
"Then what do you remember?"
"I landed in, like, a... back alley. Got hit by a car. My head was ringing like crazy. I had no idea how I got there, where I came from." Vanya explained. Her situation was somehow similar to yours but instead of forgetting your life, your mind instead replaced them with fake ones for some reason. "What causes the apocalypse?" You asked.
Five looked away before pouring more coffee down on his cup. "Asteroid impact. the big kaboom ends everything. Just like the one that got the dinosaurs, except way worse."
You looked down on your unfinished donut and poked it a bit. "Rawr..." You said sadly earning a glance from Five, trying to ignore the somehow sad and cute response from you. Five cleared his throat. "Bad news is, it followed us here."
"What do you mean, 'followed us'?" Vanya asked.
"Eight days from now, the world ends in nuclear doomsday. It's a different disease, but... the same result." Five replied.
Vanya shook her head a bit and chuckled nervously. "That can't be right."
"I saw it. With my own eyes." Five sighed. "You were there. We all were."
Vanya shook her head again in disbelief. "Shit." She looked around and found a telephone nearby. "I need to make a phone call." Vanya jumped off of her chair and rushed to the telephone to make a phone call.
"Vanyaβ" Five tried to stop her but you grabbed his wrist and stopped him. "Let her be. She'll just make a phone call, that's all." You reassured him. Five softly nodded before looking down at your hand. You quickly let go of his wrist but he held your hand. You looked down before looking up at him seeing him breathing deeply. "All we need to find our other siblings and we can go home, preventing the apocalypse."
You intertwined your hands with him and nodded. "And hopefully I could remember my real memories. I wish I could help more."
"(Y/n)β"
"You forgot what we agreed on."
Five stifled a laugh. "I know. But I want to call you by your real name. I've been calling you Eight for how many years. I want to call you by your real name until the day I die."
You cocked an eyebrow at him. "Are you flirting? Is that supposed to be romantic?"
Five shrugged before sipping his coffee again. "I don't know. I suck at flirting since I spent my twenty-five years in the future with Delores."
The smile suddenly disappeared from your face. "Delores? Who's Delores?"
Five looked back at Vanya and starting to become impatient. Five sighed before letting go of your hand and approached Vanya. Five ended the call, earning a gasp from Vanya and glare from you. "What the hell?"
"We don't have time for this." Five reasoned.
"That was probably an important call." You scolded as you walked towards Five.
"Yeah!" Vanya exclaimed. "That's my friend you just hung up on!"
Five grabbed Vanya's shoulders. "Listen to me. Those people from the field are coming after us. They are never going to stop. Do you understand me?" Five glanced at you, telling you silently that his words don't just mean for Vanya but for you too. "We need to stick together, find the others, figure out how to stop doomsday. Whoever this person is, they can't be more important than the end of the world. We need to go."
Five let go of Vanya's shoulders. Vanya looked up before sighing and placing the phone back. Five nodded before walking out of the diner. You patted Vanya's shoulder. "Sorry about him. He's always on the edge. But he does kinda have a point. If we stop whatever's going to happen, then that means we can save that important person you were talking to."
The woman nodded. "Yeah, yeah, you're right."
"You're not alone." You told her with a smile. "We'll help each other."

You sniffed as you wiped your tears away. You hugged your knees closer and buried your face into your knees as you wept. Reginald has placed you again in the small room for hours now but this time, there's no one to help or comfort you. Five has been missing for weeks now and you were getting worried every day, every hour, every minute, and every second. Suddenly, the door opened and you immediately looked up to see who unlocked the door, hoping it was the boy you were waiting for but it was Vanya in her pajamas. "(Y/n)..."
You wiped your tears away and stood up, pushing a strand of hair away from your face. "Are my six hours up already?"
"Yeah. Dad said that I should come and get you."
You nodded silently. "Thanks."
You exited the room and waited for Vanya as she locked the door. Vanya turned to you. "I-I hope it's fine if I asked this but, uh, we saw your progress. You could open the door slowly. But... these past few weeks... you just stayed inside the room, not bothering to open the door."
"I... I was waiting for him." You admitted as you hugged yourself. "Not to rescue me or anything, just... me seeing him to check on me makes me feel safe. He's the reason why I'm progressing and now he's..." You stopped yourself from talking and clasped a hand over your mouth, silently sobbing.
Vanya frowned and immediately brought you to her arms. You buried your face against her neck and softly sobbed. "Hey, come on. It's gonna be alright. He'll be back soon."
"I sure hope so. So I could beat the shit out of him for not listening to me and Dad." You huffed earning a soft laugh from your sister. "Thanks for the comfort, Vanya. I'm glad you're still here with me."
"You're not alone. I'll always be here. We'll help each other."
You pulled away from the hug and wiped your tears away. "Wanna join me to create Five's favorite sandwich before going to sleep?"
Vanya smiled and nodded. "Sure." You and your sister smiled at each other before heading down silently to the kitchen to create Five's peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich in case he ever gets back.

Number 6 is so far my favorite in the Sparrow Academy π her name, Jayme, is also somewhat similar to mine which is Jamie (yes that's my real name). So if I watch the show, if they prefer to call her by her name, I will definitely hear my name as well haha
And of course, I love the cube named Christopher. Who's your so far favorite in the Sparrow Academy members?
(Just a small fun fact: Genesis Rodriguez, who plays Number Five in the Sparrow Academy, voiced Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6!)
(06.08.21 edit #1: yes, I made the GIF above)
