You were staring at the blue uniform, debating if you should wear the uniform or not. You took it out from the closet to get a closer look then your eyes slowly went down to your inner left forearm seeing a black umbrella tattoo. 'I almost forgot having this one.' Elliot freaked out when he saw the tattoo on the second day you and Nico were living in this building. He was convinced that you were working on some government to spy on him but you managed to calm him down and admitted that you never remembered having a tattoo. You confessed that your family would kill you if they ever find out you have a tattoo.

But of course, the memory of you having a happy family was a façade. Your brain, your own mind, was hiding your real memories or just deleted them for some reason. And you're not giving up until you remember your true memories.

You were curious how you got the tattoo so looking back at the uniform, you sighed. You changed your clothes and wore the uniform. 'Looks right. Feels right.' You stepped out of your room to see Nico awake. "Oh, hey. It's still early."

"I wanted to go back to sleep but your brother screamed so loud that I'm sure everyone in the neighborhood heard him," Nico complained. He rubbed his eyes tiredly and looked up and down at you. "What's with the outfit change?"

"Just feels right to wear." You shrugged.

Nico raised an eyebrow before getting back inside the room. You were about to talk but he got out of his room and have a hoodie in hand. "Here."

"You have a hoodie?"

"I wear that whenever I go to sleep. But since I'm awake, well, I'm not wearing it."

"What am I supposed to do about it?"

"Wear it. It's cold outside, am I right? I assume you and the little boy will go somewhere again so here ya go."

You reluctantly took it and looked down at the black hoodie. "Thanks. But you shouldn't you sleeping again right now? You need rest. You're frickin' 18 years old."

"You ain't no different. You're 16."

"We both know I don't really act like one. Five told me I'm in my 30s because apparently, I got a weird life and family."

Nico leaned on the doorframe. "At least you're going home soon."

You looked at him with sympathy. "You know I can stay here with you and Elliott. Or-or bring you with us!"

Nico smiled but shook his head as he crossed his arms. "I'm alright here. Besides. I'll be moving out soon. I feel like a bother to Elliott."

"Where do you plan to go?"

"Well, I actually planned to stay in Cincinnati but... I ended up here. I'll look. I'll be fine on my own."

You looked down at your shoes before looking up at Nico. "I'm going to miss you."

The young man chuckled. "I'm not leaving yet. I'm staying until you get home."

A smile was painted on your face before approaching him and patting his shoulder, tiptoeing to reach him. Nico chuckled before bringing you into his arms. "Don't worry. I'm gonna miss you too, kiddo. You and Elliott were the reason I keep on smiling and hoping. Thank you for that."

After the hug, you sent Nico back to bed so he could sleep again. You sighed, placing a hand on his door before walking away to see Elliott awake, looking down at a picture through a magnifying glass while eating his cereal. You didn't know where Diego and Lila are, probably sleeping, but you did found Five on a chair drinking coffee. "How many cups of coffee have you taken already?'

"Didn't count." Five mumbled without a glance.

"Three," Elliott answered for Five.

You sat down beside him as you took out your blazer and wear the hoodie. You wore the blazer back and felt warm, the coldness of the early morning slowly fading. You rested your cheeks on your palms. "So what's bothering you?"

"Thinking of ways of how to look for the rest of our siblings. Especially Vanya."

"Who's Vanya?"

Five almost winced from your question. It pained him that you even forgot the sister you cared about so much. The sister you've protected at all the time. Five cleared his throat. "She's, uh, our sister."

"Sooo... I have two sisters? Allison and Vanya?"

"That's correct."

You saw Five raised his hand to adjust his sleeves and you briefly saw the same umbrella tattoo you have. "Care to tell me why we have umbrella tattoos? Because I'm pretty sure we shouldn't even have one."

"I... actually don't know." Five admitted. "I thought he was just branding us."

"Everyone has them?"

"Except Vanya."

"Why?"

"Because she was ordinary. Well, so we've thought. Turns out she has powers like us."

"Hey."

"Hmm?"

"What do you mean what you said earlier? You know, being stuck for twenty-five years."

Five sighed shakily before setting the cup down and with that action, you knew it was a long and probably sad story. "I was a stubborn childβ€”"

"I think you still are stubborn."

Five gave a small glare at you and then continued his story. "I was a stubborn child. I wanted to time travel. I ignored the old man's warnings and did it, ending up in an apocalyptic world. It was the future. I saw everyone dead, including our siblings and... you..." Five clenched his fists. "It was painful. To see you dead. Not a moment did I ever forget seeing you lifeless."

You stayed quiet and continued to listen. Five played around with his mug. "I was stuck in the future for twenty-five years, gathering scraps and food just to survive. Then.. I was found by my former employer. The Handler. I was recruited in The Commission until I escaped to get back to my family. To you."

"It must've been really hard." You frowned. "Alone. Alone for years. I don't think I can handle that. W-Why did they recruit you? What job was it?"

"I was assigned to assassinate people who dared to screw up the timeline."

"yOU WERE A WHAT?!" You stood up instantly, your eyes wide open in surprise. Five shushed you before pushing you down to your seat. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. I never expected for you to have a positive reactioβ€”"

"Holy shit! I have never held a gun before. Always wanted have."

Five blinked in surprise. "Okay, now honestly I'm concerned."

You said a quick sorry. "I'm sorry. Assassinating people is terrible. It really is. Just got surprised you get to have a gun. I wanted one. Well, I wanted to learn."

"Well, you don't need one because you have powers."

An alarm buzzed causing Elliott to place the spoon and picture down. "Hey, we got one. Hey, one of those machines you asked for is going crazy."

You and Five walked over to Elliott who moved his chair to look at the screens. "Which one?" Five asked.

"It's the, uh, atmospheric radar."

"Good."

"I don't get it. What are you tracking."

"A hurricane? A storm front?"

"Sound waves." Five smiled, knowing the person who caused the alarm to buzz.

"Sound waves," Elliott repeated in awe.

"Sound waves?" You questioned.

"Wow. Whatβ€”"

Before Elliott could even finish his sentence, Five took your hand and spatial jumped with you. Elliott turned around to talk to you or Five but found him all alone.

"Where are you two going?"

"Oh, they both left?" Nico asked.

Elliott gasped in surprise and clutched his chest. "Jesus! Can everybody stop scaring me just for one second?!"

"Sorry. Do you know where they're headed at?"

Elliott shook his head and grabbed his bowl of cereal again. "Nope. They just both left." He was about to eat his spoonful of cereal but stopped midway. "Oh, by the way. Where did you and (Y/n) go when I was developing the footage?"

Nico shrugged as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "Just walked around outside. Saw some people we don't care about. Even a weird fancy lady."

"Weird and fancy lady?"

"Yeah. I think she knows (Y/n). Ever since that little infant came here, some people start knowing (Y/n)."

"Isn't that a good thing?"

Nico shook his head. "I've lived my whole life in my hometown full of bullies and unholy people. Some son of the bitches who knows (Y/n) might not be her friend or family so we have to be careful."

"Remember the douchebag who bumped into me and didn't apologize?" You asked with a smirk as you looked up at Nico. You were both walking around the streets for some fresh air while Elliott was developing the footage and Five was looking for his brother Diego.

"How could I forget? You looked so helpless and the guy's an asshole."

"I'm still thankful for that. If it wasn't for you and Elliott, I'd probably die or be homeless now."

Nico softly chuckled and ruffled your hair. "Sure, sure. Just... stand up for yourself. If the guy's an ass or a dick, punch him."

"Nico!"

"What?"

You thought for a moment before shrugging. "Hmmm... well, yeah. That could happen."

"Lenora... she was bullied." Nico suddenly confessed. "I have to save her or take her away from the bullies." He sighed before completely stopping in his tracks. "I just wish I could bring her back."

You frowned and patted his back. "Hey, it's alright. She'll be pretty upset if she sees you like this. Lenora w0uld want you to be happy and stop blaming yourself for her death."

"But I should have been with her instead of that preacheβ€”"

"There's no undoing for what is done, Nico." You said. "But what we can do is to move on and think about the happy memories with her instead of the sad ones. You deserve happiness just as all people do, Nico."

Nico softly smiled and patted your head. "Thanks, kiddo. You're okay sometimes."

"You're okay too sometimes."

You and Nico resumed your walk until you noticed a lady walking towards your direction. She was quite fancy and classy. Her fancy dress, tall heels, fancy hat.

You were about to ignore her but she accidentally bumped into you. "Oh! Sorry! I was in a hurβ€”" The woman was silent. "Oh my God..."

"What?" You asked.

"You're not... (Y/n), are you?"

"I'm (Y/n). What about it?"

The old woman was speechless. She was unable to form words before shaking her head. "Oh! You just looked like someone that... I kind of knew."

Nico eyes at the woman suspiciously before grabbing both of your shoulders. "Oh, well, whoever that is, I'm sure it's not (Y/n). Now, if you don't mind, we're leaving."

Before you could even respond, Nico pushed you forward and then held your wrist, walking together as you left the confused and weird woman. You slapped Nico's arm but he wasn't bothered. "Now that's just rude to that lady."

"I don't trust her, now come on. Maybe Elliott's done."

The lady rested her hand on her hip before gritting her teeth in annoyance. "Oh, Lila, what have you done?"
