- CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED-TEN -
🏹 Goodbye To Another Hale 🏹

Everyone stood around the living room as Scott draped a little "in memory" sash over a funeral flower arrangement. He glanced over to where Eli stood off to the side before looking at the others.

"The first night I met Derek Hale, he and Amara saved my life." He said, looking over at Amara, who was standing next to her mom and Ximena next to the couch where Allison and Argent sat. "Then he said we were brothers, and I thought that he was crazy. But no. No, he was right." He said, looking before looking over at Eli. "Eli, from that moment on, we were brothers." He said and Eli nodded slightly.

"And, uh... Derek Hale was the first person to teach me that you don't just get the family you were born with. You get the family that you find." Scott said as Eli pulled away from the wall and walked down the hall a bit. Amara looked over at Eli before whispering something to her mom, Ximena and Allison, who all nodded.

Amara walked over to Eli, making him turn to her as she smiled sadly at him. "I still want to annoy your dad even when he's gone so..." Amara said, holding the keys to the jeep out to him, making Eli smile.

"He hated that jeep." Eli said and Amara sighed softly and nodded, "Oh, yeah... a lot of people had a love-hate relationship with the jeep. After Stiles left it behind, Derek towed it in, thinking it was probably beyond repair... But he opened up the hood, pulled off all the duct tape that probably acted in damaging the jeep further... and Derek managed to fix it. It's a miracle, really." Amara said, making Eli chuckle softly.

"But, no matter what happens to that damn jeep, it just keeps on running... Kinda like your dad." Amara said, smiling softly at Eli. "After everything he's been through... all of our family, being accused of murder- three times. I mean he got his ass kicked a lot." Amara said, making Eli chuckle, "But no matter how many times he went down, he kept going, kept standing up and fighting." She said, tears in her eyes as she stared at him.

"Your dad was one of the best people I've ever known, seriously... It makes sense that he raised such a great kid that he was really proud of." Amara said, making Eli smile as a tear ran down his face, making him wipe it away as she smiled sadly at him.

"How do you feel about moving to LA?" Amara said, making Eli look at her a little shocked for a moment before smiling and hugging her.

Amara walked through the shelter after finishing work before finding Allison crouched down in front of one of the kennels where a dog was, playing with the dog through the fence. Amara smiled softly as she started walking over to her, "Ximena told me you guys came here." Amara said, making Allison look up and smile at her.

"Her and Eli wanted to help Scott and Deaton out." Allison said and Amara chuckled as she crouched down in front of her. "Careful. When Ximena says she wants to help out around here, she's just finding an excuse to play with animals." Amara said before looking at the dog.

"If you're attached... We might have room for a four legged roomate. I'd be open to adopting him." Amara said and Allison raised her eyebrows, "Eventually them." She said. Amara looked off to the side as Deaton, Scott, Eli and Ximena walked out of the Clinic, Eli and Ximena carrying puppies as Deaton and Scott explained something to them.

"I want to talk to them before we consider that... After all, I think they might have a little crush on each other, wouldn't want to make them siblings." Amara said and Allison looked at her in amusement, "Like how we could've been step-sisters if your mom and my dad didn't divorce?" Allison asked and Amara laughed and nodded.

"Exactly. Never been so happy that my mom got a divorce." Amara said before looking at Allison, who looked at her for a moment before sighing softly. "I have this feeling... It's like, all this time has passed and I want to figure out how to get it back. Like, I'm happy for everything that's ahead of me, but I- I just- I feel this kind of regret, you know? I think- I think I feel..." Allison trailed off slightly and Amara nodded.

"Wistful." Amara said, making Allison look at her and nod, "Yeah, that's exactly it. Do you feel that way?" Allison asked and Amara smiled softly and shook her head. "I used to... After Lydia and I broke up I kind of went into a funk... I couldn't stop thinking about you and everything we could have been if what happened didn't happen... My mom taught me that word after I told her." Amara said before staring at Allison for a moment.

"But I'm not worried about the past anymore. Now I have a future... with them... and you." Amara said, making Allison smile and let out a soft chuckle before they both leaned in for a kiss. The dogs started barking, making Amara pull back slightly and roll her eyes with a smile.

"You're gonna be a pain in the ass if we do adopt you." Amara said, looking at the dog next to them while Allison stared at her for a moment. Allison suddenly moved a bit closer to Amara before gently grabbin Amara's face, pulling her into a more passionate kiss.

Their lips moved in sync for a moment before they both slowly pulled apart, smiling softly as they leaned their foreheads together.
