𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I watched as my mom and Hunter failed horribly to get the Oreo off their faces and into their mouths. "It isn't that hard guys, come on. This is embarrassing." I laughed as the two of them finally gave up. I looked at the time and thought it was best for me to start heading home to pack for our trip back to California.

"We gotta start heading home." I say as I stood up and looked over to Cosmo who seemed to be having the time of his life with my family.

"You're going back to California again?" My mom asked. "Yeah, Y/n has her last game to get into the playoffs this weekend in San Francisco. If she makes it, she'll be in the Super Bowl. Colin's really excited for her."

My eyes met Hunter who smiled and shook his head knowing I was probably more excited for her than Colin is. "You two seem pretty close." My mom smiled at me. "Yeah we are, she's pretty amazing." I smiled to myself thinking about her. I'm so lucky.

"But we have to pack so, we're going to head out. We'll be back in New York soon though. But if she wins, you all are welcome to fly out to California and come watch the game. Colin and her mom planned a party for her if they make it to and win the Super Bowl."

I went over to Cosmo, grabbing his stuff and his hand as we walked out of my family's home after bidding our goodbye's and I love you's.

Hunter followed us outside and walked us to the car and helped buckle Cosmo in. "Would you ever tell mom about you and Y/n?" He asked with a laugh. "Of course not, she'd probably kill me. I have thought about it, I feel like she'd love Y/n."

"How's the baby doing?" Hunter asked as he looked down at my belly.

"Fine- and the appointment for the you know what- I cancelled it."

"So you're keeping it?"

"No but, I just, I wasn't ready yet and there's so much going on right now but, I'll get it done in about 2 weeks."

"Do you still want me to come with you?"

"Please?" I said and Hunter nodded before wrapping his arms around me. "I love you." he smiled as he let me get in my car. "I love you too." I buckled in and waved one last time to him before heading home to begin packing for our trip.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I walked off the set and headed backstage to the green room to greet the cast as we'd just wrapped up rehearsals. I walked to the board to see the celebrity guests and heard a voice call me. "Colin! Hey!" I turned around to see Madison standing behind me. "Hey! How are you?" I questioned as I hugged her. I don't know if this is weird or breaking some kind of code since she is my daughter's ex.

"I'm great now! So excited to be on the show though! Very excited to perform my new song tonight! It's been a dream and the cast is amazing. Everyone's so nice here." She replied as we stood in the hall chatting. I never had a problem with Madison, I believe she's a sweet girl and think she was perfect for Y/n. I honestly thought they'd end up getting married. I was still unclear on why they broke up.

"You're performing tonight right?" I asked as Madison and I began to walk down the hall. "Yeah, my new song Reckless, have you heard it?"

"Not yet-"

"I'm surprised Y/n didn't show it to you."

"Why would she?" I questioned confused as to where this conversation was heading. "Well it's about her and our break up, I thought she'd be excited she had a song written about her, or another one I should say. Although this one wasn't as much of a song of gratitude. I mean, who'd be happy they were cheated on." She laughed off.

I stopped walking and I was quite baffled. "What?"

"You didn't know? She cheated on me and honestly, I'm surprised you haven't put it together yet."

I looked at her waiting for her to continue. Y/n only told me she and Madison broke up but told me it was because she didn't have the same feelings for her anymore and she was too busy. She never mentioned anything about cheating on her.

"Why would I have put it together?" I questioned. Its not like I'm paying too close attention to Y/n's relationships. She's a grown woman. "Wow, you really haven't even given it a thought. Is it really not obvious what goes on with Y/n?"

"I'm lost." I admitted and laughed off. Madison pulled me off to the side and away from the crew members. "Do you ever wonder why Y/n and Scarlett are so close to each other? I'm sure you've had to have questioned why your wife travels so frequently to Los Angeles."

I have but what does any of this have to do with my daughter?

"I'm not following."

"Colin, I'd really hate to be the one to break this to you but, come on, your wife is screwing Y/n. Trust me, I was in denial about it too but, then I started piecing everything together and-"

"What?! No she isn't-" I exclaimed at her suggestion. That couldn't be true.

"They hang out all the time, Y/n spends more time with Scarlett than you probably do, they're always texting and calling each other, it isn't hard to put together. When I realized what was happening, I knew I couldn't' stand by and let you be blindsided. It's always the one's closest to you. I mean, if I were you, I wouldn't know how to feel to find out my own daughter was sleeping with my wife."

"Madison, look I don't know if this is because you're heartbroken but, I'd prefer if you leave my wife out of this. You and Y/n can handle this on your own. I'm sorry if my daughter did cheat on you, and that's a huge if because she wouldn't' do that. Just leave them alone." I said walking off.

They wouldn't do that to me. Plus, they told me they slept together in the past and that it was a one time thing. Why would Scarlett tell me that if she was planning to do that again? Scarlett would never do that to me and most importantly, my daughter would never do that to me.

I finally got home after leaving the set. I walked upstairs and into Scarlett and I's shared bedroom to see she wasn't in here. I noticed the light in Cosmo's room was on and I went to see if she was in there.

I walked over to his room to see Cosmo asleep in his bed as Scarlett packed clothes into a suitcase for him. "Hey babe." she whispered before getting up and coming over to me giving me a hug and a kiss. "Hey, can we talk?" I asked as she nodded. "I'm almost finished in here, I'll be in the room in 5 -10 minutes."

I nodded and walked back to our room. On the way here, I kept thinking about what Madison said to me today. Not only was that on my mind, the fact that I found Plan B and condoms in Scarlett's bags when she got back from LA kept running through my mind. I went to the closet and grabbed her suitcase pulling out the Plan B and condoms. It seems like she tried to cover them up with more clothes. I sat them on the bed and waited for her to return.

About 5 minutes later, I heard Scarlett coming down the hallway. She let out a sigh before smiling as I stood in front of the bed, keeping the pills and condoms out of her view with my body as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"How was your day babe? You'll never believe what Hunter tried to get me to do. He-"

"Scarlett." I said as she walked into our bathroom, going on and on about her day. "Scarlett." I said again louder and more stern than before. She came back out of the bathroom as I moved away from the bed so she could see what was there. She opened her mouth to speak before she realized what was sitting on the bed.

𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I walked out of Colin and I's shared bathroom after he called my name in a more serious tone. I opened my mouth to speak when I came back into his view when I saw my Plan B on the bed along with the condoms I bought as a backup just in case Y/n ever forgot hers, which is rare so they just stayed in my bag. I continued to stare at the items on the bed before letting my green eyes meet Colin's blue ones.

"Colin-" I spoke softly before he grabbed the box of condoms. "What the fuck is this?!" he yelled and I felt like my soul was leaving my body. "I-"

"All of a sudden you have nothing to say, right? I'm such an idiot to think you actually- wow I can't believe you."

"Colin that isn't-"

"What? This isn't what I think it is?! Scarlett, there were condoms in your fucking suitcase! You don't have a penis, you clearly don't need them! There's plan B in your suitcase, what the hell do you need that for?!" He yelled. I signaled for him to lower his voice because Cosmo is asleep down the hall. I moved over and closed our bedroom door.

"These condoms definitely aren't mine so who are they for? huh? And for me to think you really only went to LA for work, all while you were really having sex with someone else. When I first found this stuff, I decided to not mention it but- after the day I've had I- just tell me the truth!"

I didn't know what to do or say at this point. How am I supposed to explain this to him. "Babe, trust me it isn't what it looks like. Those aren't- I didn't buy them I was holding onto them for-"

"Do you think this is a joke? This relationship, this family isn't a priority to you anymore Scarlett and quite honestly, sometimes I don't think you're built for relationships. You've had what? 2 failed marriages, numerous relationships and look at this! Another marriage that may be going out the window, see the common denominator?"

"Excuse me?!" I questioned him. "How dare you-"

"No how dare YOU Scarlett! I knew something was up- I just- wow, I really tried to give you the benefit of the doubt." Colin shook his head, looking more stressed than I've ever seen him look. "I'm going to load the bags in the car, I just- we'll handle this when we come back from California."

I reached for his hand which he quickly yanked away from me. "Please, don't touch me right now." Colin said coldly as he walked out of our bedroom.
