Akito x Overworked! Reader
As you were rushing through the school's halls, trying to prevent someone from knowing you were there today, you bumped into someone rather..familiar.

Of course, to your dismay, the exact person you were trying to avoid, was standing right before you.

Akito Shinonome

You and Akito have been friends for a long while now. Even though you two have your differences, you both get along rather well!..

At times..

"Y/n? You didn't tell me you'd be at school today?" Akito stated while you thought to yourself, 'I didn't think this through..did I?'
you mentally sighed.

"Oh? My dearest apologies Shinonome I must've forgotten" you say sarcastically.

"Ok y/n..I get it, now cut it out with the fancy talk.." Akito sighed while trying to hide his smile.

"You shan't suppress your smile good sir for it is too conspicuous!" You said while trying not to giggle in the process.

"Ok Princess, chill out with the ever so perplexing words.." Akito said while laughing.

You felt yourself get flustered, then it hit you, 'wasn't I supposed to be trying to avoid him..? He didn't notice anything as yet..that's good atleast. Hm, I..I'm starting to feel..sleepy..'

While you were deep in thought, trying to keep yourself awake, Akito was waving his hand in front of your face, trying to get your attention.

"Y/n?"

"..."

"Y/nnn?"

"..."

"Y/N."

Akito shouted, finally getting you to look at him.

"Are you..uhm, like..ok?" he asks in a worried tone.

"I'm fine.." you say while trying to walk away. You felt your body start to feel..heavy, your surroundings slowly starting to blur before your very eyes.

You only made it a few inches away from Akito before you tripped yet you successfully controlled the sleepy feeling, but what you failed to immediately realize was that Akito had caught you, saving you from hitting your head on the floor.

"Y/n. I'm pretty sure you're not ok." Akito said sternly while helping you stand properly, "should I carry you to the nurses office?" he offers.

"No no..! I-I'm...fine.." you mumble as your eyes slowly start to close again. "I'm walking you to class. Just to make sure cause we don't want you to faint in the hall on your way there." Akito says while wrapping his arm around your waist.

You felt the butterflies invade your stomach as you both walked in the direction to your class.

After class
As you were walking out the classroom you heard three of your classmates call to you. They all gathered around you, asking you to do their homework, you are an honor student after all. "Y/n! Can you pleaseee help us with this!" They pleaded, "We'll pay you back! We promise!"

"Who's we?!" One of them yelled.

"This isn't free you know!" The other argued back.

After they finished their bickering, they came to an agreement to pay you.

"I'll be glad to he-" you started but someone walked up behind you grabbing your hand, scaring you in the process and interrupted you by saying, "They won't be doing any of your homework. Go find someone else to bother."

You turned to see Akito standing behind you. "Akito..Don't be like that! I'll help them and-" you were cheerfully saying but he just dragged you to an unused classroom. It was beautifully decorated with yellow, paper stars hanging from the ceiling, instruments such as drums, guitars, and even a grand piano was there.

"Akito. Why did you do that?! Don't you see how rude it is to walk away from a conversation like that?" you shouted causing him to flinch at the random change in tone.

"I'm not just going to stand by and watch you overwork yourself like this! This is the 4th time you accepted to do their homework this week! Don't forget the part where you also have your own homework aswell, the job of taking care of your little sister, AND working two separate jobs everyday after school PLUS making music with Yb/n." Akito shouted equally as loud, drawing people's attention to the door of room you were both in.

You stood in silence for a while, the you lowered your head.

"You don't understand Akito. I-I just want to feel like I have a purpose in this world, to feel as if I'm not useless, and to do that, I am trying to do everything I can!.." you said while small teardrops fell from your eyes.

"..Y/n wait..!" Akito shouted while you ran out the room, leaving him there, in a worried state.

After school
You were finally home after a long day at school today plus you did have archery practice today. You place your classmates homework on your desk and as you were about to take your uniform off, you decided to check your phone.

You turn off your phone while sighing. You were getting a day off from work today. Sadly, your mother contacted your work places and told them to give you some weeks of work cause exams were coming up.

You changed out of your school uniform, into a comfortable outfit and went downstairs to greet your sister. You take a deep breath as you turned the corner, entering the living room.

"Hello Hikari! How was school today?" you ask in a cheerful tone. "Y/nn! It was amazing! I got stickers at school!" she said while smiling. "Oh! Also! Your boyfriend walked me home today!" she added which made you confused.

"Hikari..I don't have a boyfriend..?" I said slightly confused. "Yes you do! The one with the orange hair and the little yellow line thing in the front!" she said which made you regain the butterflies from earlier just thinking about it.

'Akito and I?! Dating?!? What makes her think that?!..' I thought to myself, "Oh, sorry to disappoint you Hikari but we aren't dating.." I said aloud, Hikari started to frown. "Awww.." she said in a disappointed tone.

30 Minutes Later
"Hikari we have to go now!" I shouted as I put my shoes on.

"Okkk fineee.." Hikari said while walking towards me.

I helped her put her shoes on and then we headed out.

"Y/n? Can we stop at that place over there? It has a swing!" Hikari asks while pointing at the park.

I checked the time, 5:29PM (17:29)

"I have until 6:00PM (18:00) to reach to practice so I guess we can!" I said smiling at her.

I was sitting on the bench, watching over Hikari as per usual, making sure she doesn't get kidnapped or something.

Then I saw someone with short, blonde hair start talking to her. I jumped of the bench and ran towards them.

"Hi little girl..! Uhm..Do you know where you're parents are." The blonde hair spoke.

"Oh my mommy is at work! I have my older sibling here with me!" Hikari said whilst smiling at the complete stranger.

"Hi. Who are you and what do you want from my sister?" You asked in a rather defensive tone.

The blonde jumped back in surprise, nearly tripping in the process, "I-i..I just wanted t-to make sure she was ok! I swear! I don't mean any trouble..!"

"Kohane?! Where are you?!" You heard a familiar voice call. You and the blonde both turn your heads to find the source of the noise.

"An?!"

"Y/n?!"

You both said in sync while Hikari and the person supposedly named 'Kohane' stared at you both with confused expressions on their faces.

"Y/n?! What are are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be at work?" An asked you. "Ah! About that..my mom kindaaa asked for them to give me a break from work so I could focus on my studies for exams.." you told her while sighing.

"Thats gre-" An was cut of by another voice, "An?! Did you find Kohane yet?!"

"You have to learn patience Akito." An replied as the ginger appeared around the corner.

'Akito is here?! I am most definitely not dealing with this in front of my sister.' you thought.

You quickly say, "An. I have to go now haha! Can you guys please babysit Hikari for me? I'll pick her up after practice! Bye." you said as you ran off not giving An anytime to process what you said.

"First of all, Why didn't you come back if you already found Kohane. Toya and I were waiting for ages!" Akito exaggerated his statement which made An stick her tongue out at him. "Secondly, why is Y/n's sister here?" He adds. "Y/n was just here and told us to watch over her!" Kohane says smiling. "How did you even hear what they said.." An says while looking at Kohane with a shocked expression on her face.

"Y/n was here? Like..just awhile ago?" Akito asks. "Yes they were, what about it? Were you finally going to confess?" An blurted out which made Hikari giggle.

"A-AN. THEIR SIBLING IS RIGHT THERE." Akito said while blushing bright red.

"Don't worry! I won't tell anyone!" Hikari said while grinning mischievously. "See Akito! You have nothing to worry about!" An said while giggling.

"Yeah yeah. W-whatever. Lets just go back." Akito said while rolling his eyes and walking off.

'Oh thank god he didn't see me or that would've been chaotic..' you thought while you walked towards the location of your friends house. The walk was your average 5 minutes and 42 seconds long walk.

When you finally arrived, you knocked on the door and you were greeted by Y/fn,
"Y/n! What took you so long??"  they ask while hugging you. "Y/fn..I was only late by 3 minutes.." you said while sighing.

After practice you were heading to An's house to pick up Hikari. You knocked on the door and waited for An to answer, but to your surprise, you were greeted by Akito.

There was an uncomfortable silence and as you felt your stomach about to sink in, Hikari came rushing towards you, "Y/N! You're back!" she squealed. "Of course I am! You didn't think I'd leave you here, did you?" you giggled as you hugged your sister. An appeared behind Akito, "Y/n can you wait here for a moment?" she asks. You nod and as she drags Akito to the living room.

"Akito, did something happen between you and Y/n?" An asks. "That's none of your business." Akito responds coldly.

An rolls her eyes and crosses her arms, "It is now, so. What happened."

"You're not gonna give up are you?" Akito sighs while An glared at him.

He told her everything that happened.

You and your sister stood patiently at the door, waiting for An to return. "Y/n, when are we gonna leaveee? We've been standing here foreverr.." you sister said.

"Don't worry Hikari, I'm sure An will be back soon" you replied just as An walked towards you both, but, she didn't return with Akito..?

"Y/nn! Hikarii! I'm back! Y/n, Can you please arrive at school early tomorrow? I have to talk to you about something..
and Hikari you nearly left without giving me a hug! I'm very offended.!" An added playfully.

"Awww An! I'm sorryyy!" your sister said while hugging An.

"Are you guys done yet..?" you asked while you put one hand on your hip.

"Haha yep!" An giggled.

"Hm, An, I'll be there." you said.

"That's great! Now you better hurry before your mom gets mad at you" An chirped.

"Oh..I totally forgot about that.." you sighed as you held Hikari's hand,
"Bye An!"

you both said in sync.

An smiled and waved as she saw you both walk down the street. She closed the door and sighed.

Akito came from around the corner.

"You owe me for this, big time you fucking ugly carrot." An rolled her eyes.

"Yea yea..don't make me regret doing this plan with you." Akito said

"You're not even gonna do anything in this so called plan." An replied.

"Wanna bet?" Akito blurred out. 'Shit. I wasn't  supposed to say that..' he thought to himself.

"Oh sure Mr. Brave and Bold, go ahead! Go get your girl!" An giggled at her own statement.

"An. Th..That wasn't funny. Stop." Akito said as he tried to hide the light blush on his face.

"That's what I thought!" An smiled as she walked back to her room to see if Kohane and Toya were still playing UNO. Akito sighed as he trailed behind her.

The Next Day

7:01 A.M.

"Hm..it's 7AM already..? I might as well head out now.." you let out a small yawn as you got off the couch, fixed your uniform, locked the house door and headed towards the school.

'I wonder why An wanted to meet me this early anyways..' you thought as you approached the school's gates.

As you walked through the gate, you saw An and..
'uhhmm..why is Akito here..? Should I even bother go over there..?' you thought as you stood still in regret of ever agreeing to this in the first place.

"Y/n! Over here!!" An shouted to get my attention as she waved.

'Oh..they already saw me..I'll just, uh, ignore Akito! Yea! That's good enough for now.' I forced myself to smile, and walked towards the two as I waved back at An.

"Hi An! Whats up??" you said.
"Hey Y/n! I just-" Akito glared at An.
"I mean- WE just wanted to talk to you about something!" An exclaimed.

"Oh..uhm..Can we maybe like-" you started but An cut you off, "No y/n. We can't leave this for another day."

'I guess she knows all my tactics by now..' you sighed and prepared for the worst.

"Ehm, ok then..What is it..?" you asked An.

An took a deep breath, and from that, you knew she had planned to read an essay to you.

"Y/n, I know you're mad at your boyfriend right n-" Akito nudged her shoulder as he blushed like crazy.

"I uhhmm..what was it again.." An mumbled as you stared at her while blushing from her previous comment.

"Oh! I remember now.!" An exclaimed, "I know you're mad at this alien we call Akito, and I totally understand! Cause I'm mad at him too. but that's not the point! I, well, HE. Wants to ask for your forgiveness. He says he's sorry for what he did and he really didn't mean to cause any harm but he was really just looking out for you Y/n..! Please, we want you to know that you aren't useless at all! You mean a lot to everyone." An added.

You felt your eyes begin to water, 'They..They actually care about me..? They aren't using me..? I..'

"I'll just..this seems like my que to leave you two here" An said while walking away.

Akito and you stared at eachother in silence, until, he started to walk towards you. As he pulled you into a hug, he said, "Y/n..I'm sorry..I really didn't mean it, I understand if you won't forgive me..but..-"

"Akito.. I should be the one apologizing..I was the one that got mad at you for a minor inconvenience.." you said while you pulled away from the hug and looked at him in the eyes.

Silence fell upon the both of you as you looked at eachother.

All of a sudden, you felt Akito grab your waist and pull you into a kiss. It felt like you were floating on clouds. not literally..

Then all of a sudden, you both hear people clapping. You two were frightened and pulled away from eachother.

There stood An, and her army of Akito x Y/n shippers.

"It's about time you both got together!" Mizuki exclaimed.

"I agree with them!" Tsukasa added.

"Fufu! I can't believe you two aren't married as yet!" Rui added.

Followed by the chatter of a few other students from other classes that An seemed to know.

Toya and Nene just stood their silently, slightly smiling while watching this event take place before them.

Before you had the chance to say anything.

"Hey Akito! I'll be your best man at the wedding!" An chirped.

"A-An.! Shut up. Get out of here!" Akito said while blushing intensely. You looked away from the crowd hoping to hide the fact that Akito was, still, holding your hand.

"Ahh! Akitoo! You're holding your partners hand!" An squealed in excitement.

"Wait wha-" Akito looked down at his and your hand, intertwined. "I- An! I said get out of here!"

"Ok fineee! Guys let's let him have some alone time with his girlfriend." An said as she turned to face the others.

They nodded at An and began to walk back inside.

"Uhm..that was..awkward.." Akito said as he turned to face you. "Very.." you said as you looked at him.

"I have an idea, if..if you want to..maybe..uhm, we could..go on a date..? After school..? I dont know..I'm not good at this romantic shit.." Akito sighed.

You laughed and said, "Of course we can! But..to where..? I don't know many good places to go on dates.."

"And you're best idea is to ask me. I just said I wasn't good at this romance stuff.. but, I think I do know a good place..uhm, text me when you get home today, I'll pick you up" Akito said.

"Ok!! Oh..but..I have my classmates home work to do.." you sighed, deeply ashamed in yourself.

"You really accepted to do it??" Akito frowned as you nodded.

"Hm, I'll help you do it tomorrow!" Akito said while smiling.

"Are you sure you aren't going to let them fail..?" You jokingly frowned.

"Oh no no no. I'm most definitely not helping like that. I'm helping you to find them to return their books!" Akito said gleefully, with a big smile on his face.

"but I-"

"No y/n. We're not going over this again. You're not doing it. That's final." Akito said.

You sighed then smiled slightly, "thank you, Akito."
