"oh, he really is a clever boy." commented an old woman who sat by the couch in the living room.
a family of two have been talking about a certain adopted boy who's known of possessing good mannerism, and much as a clever young boy.
the young boy who's now by a room full of books, much like a library. he held a book in his hand as he switched between pages, seemingly occupied with rather deep thoughts that no one would understand.
"i have come to make a report, muzan-sama."
the young boy turned his head by the balcony and there he found akaza, the upper moon three. his eyes immediately switched from an innocent-looking one to a monstrous devil.
"did you find out what we talked about?" questioned muzan, staring upon his kneeling servant.
"i did some investigation, but there is no reliable information and i cannot even confirm its existence. i could not find the blue lily spider." stated akaza.
"so?"
muzan scanned upon the pages as he continued listening to upper moon three's blabber about him living up to his expectations, and dealing with this certain pillar.
yet he is not satisfied, muzan is not satisfied.
"you seem to be misunderstanding something, akaza."
with a sudden intensity, a huge blow was sent to akaza. he remained glued on the ground, yet his mouth coughed out blood from the sudden pressure.
"it's only a pillar. what am i to say now that you dealt with her? it's only natural for demons to defeat humans."
"what i desire is the total annihilation of the demon hunters. kill every single one of them and don't let me see a single one standing ever again. it couldn't be complicated, but still hasn't been achieved. what's the meaning of this?"
"you're telling me that you killed a pillar with pride but there were still four demon hunters there. why didn't you deal with them? and i specifically let you head there since you were close. akaza."
"akaza, akaza."
"akaza."
"i'm disappointed in you."
"to think that you took a blow from a swordsman who isn't even a pillar, so even upper moon three was brought to the ground."
"begone."
the tension in the room was unbearable, if atmospheres could kill then akaza would have been dead. he immediately jumped down the balcony before walking away and towards nowhere.
in front of him was the demon hunter's blade that pierced through him when he was running away. he remembered clearly his face, and the taunting he got from the young boy who called him a coward.
akaza gritted his teeth in anger before penetrating the blade with full force causing it to break into pieces.
"shitty brat, i know your face. next time we meet, i'm spilling your brains out!"

in the butterfly estate where the demon hunters were resting, a certain yellow-haired boy is walking through the hallways and his mind clouded with restless thoughts revolving around y/n.
his mind wandering about the scenes where he was unconscious instead of helping his other friends. he felt utterly useless, he wanted to reverse back the time and actually become useful for once.
when he heard the news about y/n, he cried and blamed himself for not being awake when that happened. he thought that maybe if he was awake then he would have jumped in the fight, protecting y/n at all cost.
even tanjiro is feeling down and sometimes he thinks about how he might just be useless.
zenitsu thought as he continued his way towards the kitchen where he'd secretly bring tanjiro food to cheer him up. he wanted to repay the guilt that's been bubbling inside his stomach, although y/n is not dead, he still felt guilty and useless.
even inosuke cried his heart out. it probably just sucked a lot, and you can't change your thought pattern quickly since we're humans.
he thought about inosuke, seeing him cry that much. inosuke was wailing his lungs out even when carried by the kakushis, he's genuinely concerned for the burgundy female.
no matter how strong a person is, they feel pain and they feel sad. but we can't keep cowering forever. so we just strike our wounded hearts again and again, then stand back up.
"tanjiro!"
"i got some buns so let's eat!"
smiled zenitsu as he appeared in front of the opened door.
but unfortunately for him tanjiro was nowhere to be seen. zenitsu immediately took action as he tried looking around the room, and peeping through small spaces as he thought tanjiro must have been in hiding.
"GAHHH WHERE IS THAT BOY!"
zenitsu grumbled to himself as he stared at the plate full of buns, he pouted to himself before running off to inosuke who he knew would appreciate the buns.
away from the butterfly estate, tanjiro's in a room where he have not seen before. it's his first time in the flame pillar's estate, and to say the least, he expected not much of it, but the estate radiates a home atmosphere that made him want to stay longer.
"kamado boy, this is a book that i've took just a while ago when i visited my family's household. i'm sure your questions would be answered once you read this."
tanjiro looked up and saw rengoku towering over him, he gaze upon the book before taking hold of it.
"thank you rengoku-san." tanjiro muttered which rengoku immediately replied with a loud 'no problem'.
opening to skim through the pages, tanjiro's eyes widened in disbelief as he stared at the book's pages that were now torn into pieces. rengoku noticed the change of expression, and so he leaned forward to look before his eyes turned wide.
"the generational flame pillar record is supposed to be preserved really well. i think my father tore it apart. i'm sorry." apologized rengoku, sighing a little to himself as he thought of his father's immature act.
he just wanted to help tanjiro with his curiosity about the hinokami kagura, but unfortunately for him his father had raged upon seeing him return. he did asked for this certain book, and told his father that he would return it after getting the information.
he also mentioned about tanjiro's hanafuda earrings, the look on his father's face screams danger and that's why he didn't pushed the topic. that must have been the reason as to why the pages were torned apart.
"once i come back home i'll talk to senjuro about restoring the generational flame pillar record and look it up in other books."
explained the flame pillar. tanjiro smiled, giving a greatful look. after waking up, his first instinct were to search for y/n but shinobu hold him off by warning everyone about not approaching the room where y/n's currently recovering.
tanjiro only wanted a glimpse of the said woman but whenever he's close to seeing y/n, shinobu would appear out of nowhere and drag him back to his bed where he'll sulk and wonder how y/n's doing.
"thank you for your help rengoku-san!" muttered tanjiro as he grab hold of rengoku's hand before shaking it.
rengoku could only pat his head, wanting to help out the boy who's cousin is in critical condition. in his opinion they were not victorious, despite the whole outcome of everyone living, rengoku's not satisfied. he had the chance to cut off the demon's head but his exhaustion became a hindrance thus he failed and had let the demon escape.
this is the least that i can do, a repay for what had happened to y/n
thought rengoku as he clearly remembered the most outrageous scene he had saw in that fateful night. despite the reassurance of shinobu that y/n is indeed safe and recovering, he wanted to see it for himself.
but unfortunately he couldn't.

in a room that is heavily guarded by a certain pillar. a certain burgundy-haired female laid on the bed, eyes were shut close as the only movement made by her is breathing.
"do you understand what i'm saying? i want the man who's got the hanafuda earrings dead, don't leave anyone alive in that household."
said the man who's sitting on a chair that somewhat looked like a throne. in front of him is a lavender-haired woman, with e/c eyes, staring upon her master with amusement and fulfillment.
"what do i get in return? i'm not free." muttered the woman, her gaze meeting the eyes of the man who's on the throne like chair.
his gaze hardened as the woman in front of him is testing his patience. he wanted his orders done right away, all demons would scurry after hearing his orders yet this newly flesh demon is pushing his limits.
"a drop of my blood, now scram." said the man as he waved his hand as a gesture of 'scramming' away from him but the demon merely reacted and stood her ground.
"a drop of blood for a whole family that i'll massacre? inequitable."
the man's patience had reach its limits as he immediately flashed near her, grabbing her neck as he gaze upon her mischievous expression.
"a whole family for a cup of your blood, and a rank in the twelve kizuki." dealed the woman, she didn't mind that the man is choking her to death.
the man thought for a moment before angrily tossing her body at the wall. he gritted his teeth, he wanted the man with hanafuda earrings dead but most of the twelve kizuki is dealing with some important matters that he's leaving this job to a newly flesh demon.
he grunted before agreeing with the condition, the woman laughed evilly as she received the cup of blood from the man. she wasted no time but to dunk it all in her mouth, a few dripping on the corner of her lips.
"a man with hanafuda earrings you say? don't worry, it'll be done in no time."
the man watched as the woman immediately vanished to who knows where. he assumed that she'll be ending the man with hanafuda earrings and expected good news.
two days had passed and he still haven't received any news from the demon he assigned to kill the man with hanafuda earrings. he pace around the room as he thought of the outcome, "is that wench dead already? did that man killed her already?" before his thoughts could flood his brain, the sudden appearance of the demon who he assigned had arrived in front of him.
"well?"
"the man with hanafuda earrings is still alive."
the only sentence spoken to him by the woman. the man gritted his teeth, his fists clenched tightly as blood drops, tainting the white carpet.
"but i did massacre his family, the mother and a newly born child." continued the woman causing the man to raise his head, he looked at the woman trying to find any certain twitch that could be a signal of her lying, but nothing happened and she remained stoic.
"you're saying he had a child? until you came and killed them off?" questioned the man, the woman nodded her head.
the man stared at the empty wall in front of him as he thought of the woman's words. the man with hanafuda earrings is still living, but they were able to slay his wife and newly born child which means no one would be able to inherit the hanafuda earrings and that generation of human monsters would come into an end.
"good, very good. well done mitsuki." muttered the man, laughing to himself as he thought of the man with hanafuda earring's facial expression when he learnt about his family's death.

the man, who's known as kibutsuji muzan. his peaceful night ended when a boy with hanafuda earrings showed up, patting his shoulder and acting as if he could kill him.
he gritted his teeth as memories of a certain burgundy-haired man who he first encountered. the first man who had land a blow, and almost killed him. the man who cause him to feel fear, he wanted to get rid of that feeling that's why he ended the man's bloodline but another immature punk came showing himself with hanafuda earrings.
is he the kid who mitsuki slayed years ago?
he thought to himself as he stared at the lady who's cells had explode after being filled with his blood. he noticed a presence of someone hiding, thus he had called out for that person.
before he could even launch an attack the person had vanished in his line of view, he looked everywhere before hearing the small thumps on the roof and there he saw a lady with a small child in her arms, staring down at him.
"what do you find so entertaining?"
"what's so amusing about this?"
flashbacks of that person flashed through muzan's memories, his eyes widening, feeling the sudden fear seeping through his body as he stared at the lady.
"what do you take life for, exactly?"
muzan gritted his teeth before hurrying his way towards the lady, wanting to land a blow on her to stop the flashbacks from happening but she was able to avoid him easily.
"we'll meet again, muzan kibutsuji."
muzan watched the lady escape using the roof, she jump from roof to roof as she scurried away from him. his expression were not understandable, his thoughts scattered around, trying to find an answer to this sudden scene that occurred.
a boy with hanafuda earrings.
a lady with hanafuda earrings.
is upper moon zero lying about killing the wife and the newly born child of that man that they were able to produce two children before passing away?
"who is that." he growled to himself, he held his now hurting head as he thought of the two demon hunters with hanafuda earrings.
who among them is the child of that man he feared the most?
who among them is the descendant of that person he despised the most?
who among them is the descendant of the sun?
a small noise occurred within the room as the burgundy-haired female stirred from her sleep. slowly opening her eyes, she gazed upon the unfamiliar ceiling before remembering the weird dream she had when she's unconscious.
y/n slowly sat herself up, resting her back on the headboard. her messy hair falling and covering her face, she let her hand wander on her cheeks before covering the side of her face, sighing to herself.
"what was that."
she mumbled to herself.
y/n then tried to remember what had happened when she was unconscious, she felt her eyes widening when she remembered the scene where she had been pierced with a hand in her stomach.
immediately she lifted her shirt before noticing a rather clean gauze wrapped around her stomach. someone must have changed it for her when she's out, that means someone had visited her a few minutes before she had woken up.
what are the chances.
y/n is still at haze, even though she had an arm stuck in her stomach. no matter how much movement she does, she feels no pain at all.
"what the hell, did shinobu-san healed me to the point where i'm not even feeling pain?" she grumbled to herself as she patted her stomach covered with gauze, trying to feel pain.
no matter how much push she does, she tried to even punch her stomach yet no pain is still occurring within her body. she found it odd, very odd indeed.
she assumed that it's only been days or weeks after the fight, this wound should heal for months, yet the most shocking thing is that she even survived the blow.
"am i a demon?" she joked, chuckling to herself. the door suddenly opened, caughting her off guard which cause her to fall on the floor.
"y/n you're awake?"
upon hearing the voice y/n immediately knew who it is, she put on a smile as she saw shinobu running to her side before helping her sit at the edge of the bed.
"good that you're awake, we have a lot to talk about." said shinobu seriously, the smile on y/n's face vanished before furrowing her brows.
shinobu always have this stupid fake smile of hers no matter the situation, so seeing her all serious without even flashing her a smile made y/n worried that she had done something wrong.
"y/n it's about when you arrived here."

tanjiro kamado
rengoku-san had bid me a goodbye as he returned to his home. i'm currently outside the butterfly estate, in my hand is a guard for my nichirin blade.
apparently rengoku-san had an extra guard for his nichirin blade, so he decided to give me the extra as an apology for what happened to my older cousin.
he didn't have to give me this guard but i'm still thankful. he also mentioned about him not minding if ever i wanted to become his tsugoku, although i'm pretty sure i'm still not in the position to accept his offer.
i wanted to discuss this matter with y/n and ask for her opinion. if only she's awake, if only she wasn't pierced by that demon then she would have been enjoying some delicious treats, and even coming over to my training to show off and make me feel envious.
my thoughts were suddenly cut off when a loud screech came from zenitsu inside the estate. i immediately run towards where he was until i saw him in front of y/n's opened door.
"TANJIRO Y/N'S AWAKE!"
zenitsu screamed from the top of his lungs, tears falling down his face as he hurriedly run inside the room. without wasting anymore second, i went after zenitsu and saw him suffocating y/n with his hug.
immediately feeling tears forming in my eyes, i went towards them before giving a big hug. an arm wrapped around me as i noticed inosuke joining in. i let out a big laugh with tears flowing down my face, the sudden heaviness i'm feeling immediately fades away as i gaze upon y/n's smiling face.
"ya know if you keep hugging me like that you'll end up opening the hole in my stomach." taunted y/n, the three of us immediately removed ourselves from her as she chuckled at our actions.
zenitsu continued his wailings before explaining the things that she had missed when she was unconscious. y/n only listened to zenitsu, rubbing his back to comfort him.
this is such a good thing, y/n is finally awake. i thought that it might take her months to wake up and recover but she's here wide and awake, listening to zenitsu's rumbling before comforting him with her reliable words.
"thank you for worrying everyone but i am fine. let's move on and forget the past." said y/n, a small smile plastered on her face as her gaze met mine.
she nod her head, and i felt hot tears slowly falling down. man, why am i such a crybaby? is it because i've almost lost her? she's my family after all. after the death of my family i promised myself that i'll protect the remaining, yet that promise broke when i saw that demon pierced y/n. but now that i see her alive and lively, it's just tears of happiness.
"don't cry tanjiro, i'm alright now." i heard y/n muttered, without saying a word, i walked towards her before embracing her.
i muttered a few words and felt y/n nod her head in agreement. i told her that she should never do that again or else i'll revive her and kill her myself. she nodded her head nonetheless, chuckling for a few times before breaking the hug.
"everyone y/n had woken up not long ago, i suggest ya'll leave the room and give her space. let her rest for the night." shinobu-san said as she clapped her hands to gather everyone's attention.
thus we ended up bidding y/n a farewell for the night. i promised myself to always check up on her during the afternoons where she'll mostlikely be free.
after exiting y/n's room. i let out
