πππππππ πππ ππππ to call and reschedule a meeting with Enedina like she had promised. She was nervous to meet with the woman about a possible deal and thought it was impossible to make that happen it would mean betraying her own brothers. Still, that wasn't the only thing on Estella's stressed mind she couldn't stop thinking about Miguel and often found herself restless at night just thinking about what he had said. Everything was going difficult the traumatic experience of seeing her personal driver get shot and the kidnapping she had endured. She felt exhausted and wanted nothing more but to be safe and stress-free like she used to be back in her old home of Guadalajara, Jalisco.
"Estella your friend is downstairs. Tell her to hurry we have to meet with Enedina as soon as possible and cannot be late or else she won't give us another chance." Isabella stepped into Estella's bedroom seeing her flattening the luxurious outfit she was going to wear. Estella pinched her eyebrows looking at Isabella wondering why the hell Ana was here without any call. She hadn't spoken to her since the birthday party and that meant catching up to do.
"No hice planes con ella, asΓ que deja de pensar que la invitΓ©." Estella sighed picking up her makeup palette and placing it on a nearby table to meet with her best friend downstairs. It felt strange having to speak to her after all this time and almost humiliating to explain her break up with the man she swore she would marry and have children with.
"Aye, no dije nada." Isabella defensively raised her hands as Estella made her way downstairs ignoring the mumbles of annoyance coming from Isabella. She made her way down the stairs her hand holding on to the wooden railing seeing Ana standing near the doorway her purse in her hands while she awkwardly looked around the vast house.
"How did you know I was here?" Estella crossed her arms swallowing the gulp in her throat seeing her best friend alarmed by Estella's state. Ana noticed how Estella had heavy eye bags and her usual confident demeanor was now much sadder. She didn't even recognize her best friend she had grown up with. She seemed different.
"I know you're not together with Miguel it's everywhere now in the media and is so obvious. And it isn't so hard to find somebody's house around here. Although I would be happy for that controversial relationship to end I know how much you loved him and I can see the way it has affected you mentally and physically but I assume your sad state isn't because of one single person only." Ana sighed stepping closer to Estella to try and assist her. Estella pointed to the near sofa and the two sat down to talk about Estella's recent problems.
"You're right. Miguel is still somebody I care about and love, but men suck and that's how it is. But it's been hard these past few weeks and months. To be honest I don't even know what I'm doing. I'm supposed to be meeting with some woman to discuss illegally crossing cocaine across the border when not too long ago I was picking my wedding dress out." Estella held back her tears knowing that at times like this she needed to be strong. She liked the feeling of being in control but was scared to lose herself, and the situation of being kidnapped was something that didn't help those doubts either. Ana shrugged away the topic of illegally smuggling drugs, despite her nervous feeling about it.
"What else happened? Come on you can talk to me. I'm your best friend." Ana placed a hand on Estella's hand as she nodded her head agreeing to discuss some of the things that had gone on these past few days.
"Well, I was kidnapped by some gringo and his partners and also saw my personal driver get shot in front of me." Estella admitted standing up to pour herself a drink handing one to Ana as well. Ana's eyes widened hearing such a tragic situation.
"Was he like Kiki? What happened Estella?" Ana rushed to her friend's side setting down the half emptied drink. Estella drank down the alcohol feeling the familiar burn in her throat.
"No, he was nothing like Kiki. For starters, he was white with terrible Spanish, and much more violent Kiki was never violent with me. He tied me down to a chair with some ropes like I was some wild animal all because of my romantic connections with Miguel Γngel. Thank God Miguel saved me from them once I used my manipulation skills to make them leave but sadly my driver was shot and killed by them. So yeah, my life has been nothing but turmoil, and let's not forget the part where Miguel is trying to get back with me." Estella sarcastically chuckled rushing to pour herself another drink. Ana sighed not knowing what to say about all of this mess.
"I can't believe I'm saying this especially about a powerful drug dealer but you seemed safer with Miguel. And it seems like he stills loves you what's holding you back? Just not too long ago you were telling me how incredible he was and that you were able to envision a future with him. That doesn't just go away in the matter of a few weeks. I understand he was the one who broke things off with you but maybe he wasn't thinking straight." Ana explained nearly startling Estella by this. She knew how much Ana disapproved of their relationship even when they were engaged and now she was particularly giving every reason why she should get back with him.
"I don't know Ana. I thought the same but what if we're not meant to be? I still love him, but he clearly doesn't trust me and I can't deal with that anymore. I'm not going to get back with him solely to stay safe it sounds stupid maybe even a bit careless but...it's the truth. Not now at least I will need to see more positive change in him." Estella exhaled feeling more overwhelmed. She definitely needed to think things through when it came to Miguel but now her main focus was the meeting with Enedina that it would run smoothly without any errors.
"Estella and Ana sorry to cut the brief conversation but we need to go." Isabella made her way down the stairs looking at Estella instructing her to wrap things up with Ana.
"I'll talk to you when I can. It was nice seeing and talking to you." Estella said hugging her best friend to say goodbye.
"Estella, you're smart please consider what I said about Miguel. It would mean a lot." Ana hugged her back whispering into her ear before pulling away. Ana then waved goodbye to Isabella and went out the door leaving Estella in a confused state and Isabella lighting up her cigarette.
"ΒΏEstΓ‘s lista?" Isabella questioned opening the front door looking back at Estella.
"Claro. We shouldn't leave Enedina waiting that would be disrespectful and shows nothing but unprofessional." Estella nodded her head with a slight smile walking out the door behind Isabella. She made her way inside the back of the car staring out the window at the different buildings and architecture of Tijuana. She wondered if maybe Ana was right when it came to her advice. Did she really want to be put into danger like she had been with Walt once again? But then again that would mean practically betraying Isabella and lying to Miguel about her true feelings. She was stuck.

Once they made it to where the meeting would take place they were told to wait until somebody escorted them to her office. Estella was anxious about the meeting knowing that the one with BenjamΓn back at his party hadn't gone adequately at all and this time they were dealing with his sister. A woman who was known to be smart and knew how to organize certain things. It still didn't make any sense to Estella why Enedina would choose to betray her own brothers by going behind their backs but according to Isabella, she had her plan ready. Also, Ana's words repeated inside her head and she found herself deliberating if possibly getting back with Miguel would make things safer and better for her.
"I know you've been through a lot, but you need to pay attention and make sure you speak too and go along with everything I say. It's important we can convince her or else we don't have shit." Isabella told Estella in a hushed tone looking around the extravagant place they were in. Estella lifted an eyebrow rolling her eyes at the bossiness attitude of her friend but knew that arguing wouldn't make anything better.
"Understood. I want this just as much as you do Isabella, don't forget that." Estella glanced at Isabella who only side eyed her as a woman with a yellow dress approached the two of them. The two friends forced themselves to smile as the lady began to speak.
"Follow me, please."
The two looked at each other as they made their way to the office following the lady. Isabella strutted with her signature walk while Estella stared around at where women were getting spa treatments. She was thinking about whether or not Enedina would be likable, unlike her exhausting brothers who did nothing but bother her every time they met. Hopefully, everything would go reasonably and perhaps Estella wouldn't have to fear for her life anymore.
The lady guided them to the small office welcoming them inside. Estella saw Enedina a woman she had seen before but never interacted with sitting on her chair assumably doing business as she signed some papers. The unfamiliar woman smiled at Isabella getting up to greet her with a kiss on the cheek like the normal greets people did. Estella stood there waiting to kindly greet the woman.
"Nice to meet you, Estella. I've heard about you many times before." Enedina said greeting Estella with the same way she had done with Isabella. Estella politely grinned seeing that Enedina had short curly hair and expensive-looking clothing along with gold hoop earrings.
"Thank you. It is nice to meet you too. I've only met your brothers...and it's great to finally meet one of the sisters of the rather large family." Estella replied sitting down next to Isabella trying her best not to show the distaste she had for her brothers. Enedina chuckled sitting down as well on her white seat.
"I already know you don't like my brothers no need to lie. They can be very irrational. Now anyway how are you two?" Enedina asked glancing at Isabella and Estella waiting for an answer. Estella smirked knowing that Isabella wasn't here for small talk and would be going right on to the main point.
"I've got 200 kilos of coke I want you to help me move over the border." Isabella declared her head lifted high to show that she was serious about this proposition.
"Who sold you the coke? And why are you helping her do this? Wouldn't that be going against your lover?" Enedina sneered stunned by the girls' proposal on moving coke across the border with her assistance.
"I don't know if you've been busy or oblivious but Miguel and I are nothing anymore. Frankly, I'm allowed to do whatever suits me, and this is what we're proposing." Estella answered looking down at her red manicured nails. Enedina furrowed her eyebrows slowly nodding her head at Estella's explanation.
"Alright, but I'll repeat myself who sold you girls the coke? Cali?" Enedina inquired once again specifically staring at Isabella.
"They're not the only ones that have coke." Isabella finally answered.
"My brothers would kill both of you if they found out-"
"BenjamΓn already knows. I see they don't tell you everything. Their mistake." Isabella remarked shifting in her seat while Estella upheld her confident smirk showing that they were positive about this deal prospering into something more.
"Oh, really?"
"It's simple Enedina. We start with this load, then expand. We can move a ton a month, our way." Estella explained looking back up from her nails to Enedina who seemed to be contemplating this tempting offer.
"If FΓ©lix finds out-"
"He would be angry at me and Isabella especially at me for betraying him. I and Isabella know what we're getting ourselves into by doing this. From what I can tell you hide in BenjamΓn's shadow and that isn't fair but we understand what's it's like to be overlooked by Miguel. Trust me he's done it many times before to me and Isabella." Estella exclaimed with passion in her voice. She was well-aware that Miguel was already suspicious of her because of that bitch named Blanca but knew that if they were careful nothing would happen at all and nobody would get hurt.
"Exactly. FΓ©lix pushes your family around but what's he delivered? Seizures are up. I hear he hasn't even paid you. He was done the second he killed that DEA agent. We offer you the future. Your own supply." Isabella chimed in as the room went silent. Enedina then leaned in looking at the two girls and Estella couldn't help but think she would decline the offer as she had expected.
"Look...you've asked twice. My family's patience has ran out. I suggest the two of you to leave Tijuana now." Enedina said sternly essentially forcing them out of her office. Estella smirked standing up with Isabella.
"I thought you were the brains behind your brothers." Isabella spoke once again.
"What'd you expect? Turn my back on my family because we're all women?" Enedina was not taking this offer, but that didn't mean the two we're going to stop trying to convince her. They needed Enedina and they could see that even now the deal was a persuasive one for her.
"Why not?"

The drive back to Isabella's home was nothing but dreadful. The meeting with Enedina ran somewhat okay, but all they needed was an answer from her. Estella could see that Enedina was certainly contemplating it and would probably need to sleep on it some more.
She was thinking about Miguel and wondered what the hell her fate would be if she ended up with him. Isabella was right, Miguel was going down slowly his empire was crumbling apart, and did she really want to be apart of that huge mess? But Ana had a point, a point that seemed to overshadow Isabella's. Although Estella wasn't even certain she wanted to get back with Miguel she knew that with him she would be much safer. She loved him and even though he didn't change she missed him but then again Isabella was one of her friends.
Her mind was at war as two sides showed both pros and cons and she hated it. Her headache grew worse but she felt a little better seeing Isabella's house pull up in her view.
"Thanks for the drive, Mr. Ruiz." Estella thanked the new driver like she always did. A wave of sadness rushing over her recalling the traumatizing death of her other driver. Walt's words repeated in her head as well as others and for a second she felt like she was having a panic attack until Isabella came up to her causing Estella to regain her composure.
"ΒΏEstΓ‘s bien? Your face looks pale and you look sick. Is it because of the meeting because that-"
"Estoy bien. El negocio estΓ‘ bien. Todo es perfecto." Estella smirked brushing past Isabella despite Isabella being confused by her friend's odd behavior. Estella went inside the large home straight to her bedroom sitting against the wall shutting the door behind her. She stared at her black telephone that sat down next to her bed on the nightstand while she disputed what she needed to do inside her head.
Despite her mind telling her not to she couldn't help but dial the number of Miguel knowing he was probably awake at this time stressing over his empire like he usually does. She missed him so much and also thought about what Ana had said. It what was she needed to she told herself her heart raced as the line rang until finally, she heard the voice she had been wishing to hear. It felt nostalgic for some reason, and she struggled to open her mouth to let out the words but then she did.
"Miguel. I want to see you."
