Henrik Mikaelson was a hiding lost soul on the other side. He didn't really know what else to do besides hide from everyone and wander. There wasn't much for him to do besides look over his siblings who were still alive, hide, watch, and explore.
Watching his siblings took a lot out of him, being that whenever they went through their hardships he wished he was there to help them. Hiding was exhausting but he knew he had to hide. Hide from his family's enemies who they had killed over the years, and also from his dead family members when they were dead like Esther, Mikael, Finn, Kol. Watching the world as it progressed and advanced was interesting but boring. Exploring for him was something he loved doing though.
Henrik or he now liked to be called Henry. He guesses exploring was how he got him where he was today.
He was exploring the outside parts of New Orleans where his family resided. He always liked New Orleans. It was so lively no matter what and he too wanted to stay close to where his family was. While they were dealing with their problems. Oh how much he wished he could help them with their problems. But knew he couldn't being he was dead. Looking down at the ground Henry sighed kicking at the dirt but soon stopped.
That was when he heard running.a cry and shouts. Looking up and around he then saw it. It was a beautiful young woman. Who seemed younger than him. Henry never knew why but he started aging a while ago while he was on the other side and stopped aging when he hit his thirties. It drove him crazy not knowing why but he shrugged it off knowing it would frustrate him more. And he didn't need the frustration.
But he watched as she was running dodging tree branches while crying through the wooded area. Henry knew he couldn't do anything to help her but couldn't help running after the young woman. He suddenly stopped when she hid behind a tree. That was when Henry really looked at the woman. She was curvy and had light brown skin that had freckles littered all over, with long dark brown almost ebony curly hair that went to her lower back, and dark brown eyes that were hidden behind black rimmed glasses.
Right now she was looking around the tree seeing if the coast was clear. Seeing that it was she turned her back to the tree and let out breathe and gasping. Henry watched as she then bent down placing her hands on her knees to try and catch her breathe. When she stood up and pushed her glasses on the bridge of her nose. She soon stopped and was wide eyed. Henry looked over his shoulder seeing what she was looking at but saw nothing. Which caused him to frown with a sigh. Wishing he could speak to her. But he was struck surprised when she spoke.
"You're from the other side aren't you?" She asked quietly while regulating her breath. She herself was surprised that she was seeing him. She would have been scared that he was with her family but soon felt that he wasn't really there with her magic. And his clothing was a dead give away that he was, you know, dead. With them being bloody all over and claw marks on him as well as the style of the clothes. She would say he was from an older era.
"Hmmm wait are you speaking to me? Bloody hell you can see me?" Henry exclaimed with excitement pointing to himself. He was overly excited that he could be seen by someone that was alive. It made him smile widely that reached his unique blue eyes and displayed his fang like teeth.
"Yeah I can see you. Though I have no clue why. Maybe cause I'm close to my death," she joked with a quiet giggle. But a sigh soon left her as she looked around the tree to see if anyone was there. She was scared Henry could tell she was. And he wanted to help her.
"Hold on a second. What is happening, why are you running and who from," Henry asked, his smile dropping into a frown. Who could possibly be running after her and who was making her so scared.
"M - my family. I'm a w - witch and they just found out I'm a werewolf too. After I inherited my mother's magic on top of having my own m - magic along with my werewolf side. I - I don't know what to do. I just -," she stuttered over her words as she talked to Henry. She didn't know what it was but she felt somehow connected to the ghost in front of her in some way. But she was soon cut off by Henry.
"Shush!" Henry exclaimed as he lifted a hand gesturing for her to be quiet. He had seen something coming their way from the tree behind her. Yes, he was listening to what she was saying and understood what was going on. But Henry had a protective feeling wash over him over her. He had no clue why but Henry knew he would protect her and get her out of there.
"Come with me! I can help you get out of here. I think I know someone who can help you," Henry gestured for her to follow him. She was hesitant but sighed looking around knowing she had no luck out here by herself. So she decided to follow the ghost. The two walked quietly away from her hiding spot moving branches dodging tree trunks and sticks. The two were very quiet. Trying to put as much distance from them and her family. It had been some time and it was closing into the morning. When they came upon a cabin sort of home in the middle of the woods. She was hesitant to go near the cabin but was encouraged to go by Henry. Rubbing her hands on her jeans nervously she soon walked through the trees. She was hesitant once again to go close to the door but looked over to see Henry still there with her.
"How do you know this person anyways aren't you... you know dead," she whispered out as she pushed her glasses up so they wouldn't fall off her face making her blind. She was very scared at the moment. But she felt somewhat safe with him there.
"Yeah well I have a lot of time on my hands being... dead and all. I was exploring when I came across her cabin. I don't spend much time here but I know she's a witch. And I thought why not see if she'll help you," Henry sighed with a small smile. He soon gestured with his head to go to the door, "come on, at least see if she'll help you. No harm in asking."
"I guess you're right," she giggled. Which led Henry to chuckle and smile at her. Walking to the door she shakingly knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. As she waited she looked at the ghost man and sent him a shy smile. Henry sent her a wide smile back as he crossed his huge arms waiting. But she soon turned her warm face to the door hearing footsteps on the other side of the door. The door was soon opened revealing a woman. Who was with long brunete hair and hazel eyes. She looked at the young woman in front of her with glasses in confusion and suprise expression with a lift of her brow and asked.
"Who the hell are you and how did you find this cabin?"
"Well you see that's a funny story," she giggled as she fiddled with her fingers. Henry watched with narrow eyes and listened to the two females in front of him. Henry hoped he was right about the woman and hoped she would help the woman he had some sort of connection with.
"I'm not good with humor. So get to the point," the woman sighed and crossed her arms and had narrow eyes looking at the young woman in front of her. She could feel the power surrounding the woman with glasses being she was a witch herself.
"O - okay... well you see um I know you're a witch. So I - I'm going to cut the bull shit and get right to it. I really have nothing else to lose so yeah. I - I was running from my family last night cause they found out I am a werewolf who still has her magic along with my mother's. M - making me a somewhat a p - powerful hybrid and they wanted to kill me. B - but this man from the other side, for some reason I can see him, and h - he showed me here. I - I w - was wanting to k - know if you'll h - help me. I - I understand if you don't want to though," she stuttered over her words toward the older woman. Hugging herself as she looked at her pleadingly.
"Hmmm. I know what you are, I can feel it. Come in," the woman sighed loudly with a roll of her eyes as she walked into the cabin leaving the door open. The girl sighed softly before walking into the cabin hesitantly. Looking behind her she looked to see if the ghost man was still there. Which she found him following her with a smile.
"Thank you I'm Anna Grimm by the way," Anna introduced herself to the woman as she closed the door. Anna followed after the woman as she looked around the cabin curiously. But kept her arms around herself not wanting to touch anything of the woman's.
"No problem. The name's Jenna Wright," Jenna sighed as she walked further into the cabin. Jenna had looked over her shoulder to see Anna following her still. Another sigh left Jenna see the girl curling in on herself making her seem smaller. Jenna could feel how powerful the young woman could be and was hesitant to help her. But something about Anna made Jenna remember when she was her age. She remembered being that age in the same shoes wishing she had someone there for her. It was then and there she knew she would help Anna, which led Jenna to mumble out 'fuck' as she ran her hands through her hair. But she continued on her way into the kitchen. The three were soon met by a man with dark hair and blue eyes.
"Who is this Jenna," he asked with narrow eyes as he put his cup he was drinking from down.
"Anna, this is Eric Dean, my boyfriend. Eric this is Anna Grimm she was led to the cabin looking for help," Jenna sighed out going to the cabinet to grab a cup. She soon looked through the fridge to get something to drink. Jenna then gestured for Anna to sit. Which Anna was still hesitant to do but did so.
"Grimm? I've heard about the Grimm's the last I heard Eva was the last living descendent. I didn't know she had a child," Eric questioned as he looked at Anna curiously. Anna sighed hearing this. Yes, her mother was Eva Grimm and from what Anna knew her mother never told anyone about her. She never told anyone because of Anna's biological father being what her mother told her in secret... a werewolf.
"I um my mother was Eva Grimm she kept me a s - secret from everyone," Anna gulped as she looked Eric over nervously. Anna was still scared. The only thing for some reason keeping her calm was the ghost man that was next to her.
"Let me guess your mom kept your werewolf side a secret from you step family. And you recently activated your werewolf curse not that long ago and you were found shifted during the recent full moon and big surprise you kept your magic with you after," Jenna guessed as she sat next to Eric.
"Yeah. I don't know how my mom did it but she caused me to keep my magic along with taking hers as well. I just don't know how," Anna sighed as she looked down at her shirt sleeves and started to fiddle with them. She didn't know how she was a werewolf and still had her magic. Being you can't have it both ways it was unnatural and unbalanced.
"Well I'm not surprised Grimm's were a powerful line of witches and warlocks. I wouldn't be surprised if she transferred her powers to you. But how did you break your curse? If you don't mind me asking," Eric said, trying to put all the pieces together. Jenna's eyes widened at his question and slapped him on the arm for the question. Causing Eric to grunt at her hit gave her a shrug. He wanted to know the woman they would be helping. Eric already knew by the look on Jenna's stern face that she had made her decision on helping the woman.
"Well he's a bit of an intrusive asshole. You don't have to answer him if you don't want to Anna," Henry was heard from next to Anna for the first time since they entered the room. Hearing the 'ghost man' next to her caused Anna to cover her mouth so her laugh wasn't loud. But soon answered.
"No it's okay. There was a car accident not that long ago, and um I was the driver m - my mom was in the car she didn't make it neither did the drunk driver," Anna answered with a sniffle as she took her glasses off to wipe the tears from her eyes. But soon took a deep breath and put her glasses on. She wanted to be strong like her mom was. So with a determined look she looked at Jenna and Eric and nodded. It was at that moment both Eric and Jenna both looked at each other and nodded. They knew then they were truly going to help this woman.
"Sorry to hear that Anna," Jenna reached over and patted Anna's hand to comfort the young woman with a rare smile. Anna looked at Jenna and sent her a smile of their own. And that was what the three did, talked and got to know each other. With Henry saying comments here and there causing Anna to have to control her giggling fits. Eric and Jenna both saw this but didn't say anything. Until after the three ate and the sun began to set. Jenna wanted to bring up the subject of the man on the other side that Anna spoke about earlier.
"So tell me Anna. When you came to the cabin earlier you said you were led here by a man from the other side. Is the man who led you still here," Jenna asked Anna with a lift of her brow. Anna soon sat up straight and looked to the ghost man who still hadn't left her side. Questioning him if he wanted to be known by the two. Which caused Henry to smile softly seemingly touched by her asking him. He soon shrugged and nodded with a smile.
"Yeah he is," Anna smiled at him before turning her attention to Jenna and Eric. Both were watching her closely. They were curious about this so-called man that led Anna to them.
"Who is he," Jenna asked as she leaned her head on her hand.
"Oh I don't know I just met him when I was running from my family and he led me here. Though I don't understand why I can see him still. And by the way what is your name I didn't get to ask?" Anna summarized then questioned the ghost man beside her with a smile. She was now more curious than ever over him. And the question that she was wondering most was why can she see him. She never in her life could see others from the other side so how can she now.
"Henrik Mikaelson at your service. But you can call Henry or Rik. But I like Henry more," Henry chuckled as he bowed playful to Anna. But he stood soon and watched to see if she would connect the dots on who he was. He was also nervous over how the three would react to who he was.
"He said his name was Henrik Mikaelson but he likes to be called Henry. Wait hold on second you mean like Mikaelson, Mikaelson. Like the original vampires," Anna told Jenna and Eric before gasping and turning back to Henry with wide eyes.
"Yes I'm the youngest out of my siblings," Henry chuckled with a wide smile thinking Anna was adorable. As she pushed the frame of her glasses upon her nose.
"So you're telling me you just so happened to be able to see Henrik Mikaelson who is from the original family. And who is from the other side and he led you to our cabin?" Eric coughed after drinking from his cup with wide curious eyes. Jenna was looking at Anna the same way as she continued, "and you don't know why you can see him,"
"Pretty much yeah," Anna sighed as she looked at the two before looking at Henry with narrow curious eyes. Seeing her look at him in such a way caused Henry to laugh. Anna couldn't help but smile and giggle because his laughter was contagious. But their attention was soon turned onto Jenna. Who had a small smile on her face as she patted Eric's shoulder and gestured for them to follow her.
"Well come on, let's find out why you can see him. Shall we," Jenna smirked. Smiling, Anna jumped from her seat and followed Jenna with a skip in her step. Eric chuckled as he followed Anna and Jenna into the living area. Jenna soon gestured to Anna to sit in the middle of the floor and spoke, "well I feel crazy for saying this. I bet it won't be the last time. But... Henry, if your still there and want to find out why Anna can see you I advise you to sit next to her."
Henry did just that sitting in front of her make a funny face causing Anna to giggle. Eric and Jenna watched Anna for a second. Both were skeptical on the whole matter and were a moment away from thinking she was crazy. But there was a look in her eyes that told them she was telling the truth and made them want to believe her. So they would do a spell that would reveal Henry to them until the sun rises and a spell to see how Anna and Henry are connected.
Jenna was looking through an old grimoire and showed it to Eric and the two began to chant a spell that revealed Henry. Which it did a second later. Revealing Henry in all his glory as an older man with a large stature, unique blue eyes, long dark brown curly hair, but what stood out the most was the bloody claw marks on his chest.
"Well, I'm glad to tell you Anna you're not going crazy," Jenna chuckled as she looked from Henry to Anna. Anna didn't think she was crazy. So, Anna soon looked at Jenna with a tilt of her head mumbling out, "thanks. I think."
"I have a question. I thought Henrik Mikaelson was the youngest of the Mikaelson's. A young boy when he died. And yes I know of you. I've heard rumors and tales of you. How are you a grown man? I didn't think you would age when you're on the other side after dying," Eric asked Henry, crossing his arms looking the man over.
"I don't know. I started aging a while ago but stopped when I hit my thirties. I tried looking for answers for a little while. But stopped being I needed to hide," Henry asked with a sigh looking at the three from his spot he was sitting at.
"Why? Why do you have to hide on the other side," Anna asked Henry.
"I'm a Mikaelson. You know how many supernatural beings my siblings and family have killed. It's a lot. Who knows what everyone would do if they knew I was on the other side. They would make my undead life a living hell," Henry sent Anna a sad smile. Which Anna sent him one back now, understanding why he was so excited to have someone see him. The two were looking at each other for a moment when there was a clearing of a throat catching their attention. Which it was Eric seemed to be uncomfortable with the silence.
"Why don't we see why and how you two are connected," Jenna laughed at Eric. As Anna and Henry had a faint blush over their cheeks. The three all nodded in agreement. Which causes Jenna to smile and flip through the pages of the grimoire. Grabbing a piece of chalk she soon drew a circle around Anna and Henry. And explained to the two to sit face to face and hold out their hands to one another. They did so without hesitance trusting each other quickly with a smile. Jenna noticed quickly and nodded and had a hunch what they were to one another. Showing Eric the grimoire he soon nodded at Jenna and the two began to chant. And once they were done chanting. Two bright orbs appeared from Anna's and Henry's chest and met in the middle becoming brighter. Which led all of them to gasp.
"Well that explains a lot," Jenna chuckled as she waved her hand and the orb disappeared. Eric himself chuckled as well looking at the two. As he wrapped himself around Jenna placing his head on her shoulder.
"What! What happened," Anna questioned the two with a look of fear after witnessing the orbs. As she dropped her hands and looked at Henry with wide eyes.
"I've never seen anything like that before and I'm a good thousand years old. What was that?" Henry chuckled nervously as he sent Anna a warm smile trying to calm her in any way he could.
"To put it simply, you two are soulmates... your souls are entangled together. There are no boundaries to soulmates. So Anna you can see him and hear him even though he's on the other side. Henry, my guess is that you started aging when Anna was born. While you were on the
