Daniella trekked through the woods, her fingers grazing the leafy damp bushes. It had been a while ever since she had a speck of ocean water covering even her whole body. She did truly miss the freedom of swimming, but, she had something, someone, she is willing to stay for.

A deer found its way galloping towards her, making her look at it in concern. It halted its steps in front of her and bowed its head. She smiled and returned the action. It seems that the deer found her interesting and very respectful.

She held out her hand and stroked it's head, in between the antlers. "It's nice to see another face." she whispered out. The deer made a noise of agreement, seeing as she was a new face he or she was willing to see everyday. Unlike those pale faces, who massacred most of his friends.

It wasn't long before they separated ways, Daniella vowing to herself to seek the deer, her new friend, who turned out to be a male. She got to the clearing and witnessed something that made her heart drop into the depths of the ocean.

Jacob was hugging an unknown female, spinning her around in glee, like they haven't seen each other in years. It must have been Isabella Swan, the girl Jacob was ranting on about. She nibbled her bottom lip as her blue-purplish hues glazed over.

She brought a hand to her chest, where her heart resided. "Is this what jealousy feels like?" she muttered to herself and hid behind a tree. She slid down onto her bottom, sitting down in confusion.

She had never felt jealousy before, and now that Jacob was happy, maybe even more happier with another female, besides from her and Leah, she felt completely useless. She didn't know whether she'd play a part in his life anymore.

She leaned her head onto the bark of the tree. She bit in her cheek as a tear slid down her cheek. Negative feelings were so new to her. "Why does it feel so right, but also feel so bad?" she whispered into the forest.

It felt right that she was jealous, but also bad because it was a bad feeling that leads to bad things. She quickly wiped away the tear and stood up. She didn't want to see the public display of affections he reserved for Bella. It made her heart ache.

She retreated back into the forest and weaved through the trees once again. She found another clearing, a patch of green, mossy grass in the middle of sunlight. It was magical. She smiled before sitting down exactly on the center and looked around.

It was darker when you looked off into the forest, but the light never seemed to be shut out. She caressed the grass beneath her. It was moist and soft, better then the emotion she experienced just moments ago.

He had feelings for Bella, someone who he had known for years, longer than her. She accepted that fact. She came out of nowhere and infiltrated their lives in a weird way. With a tail and nude.

She laughed slightly and sighed. A tear rolled down her cheek, then another, until it was infinite. She came out into the world to find her purpose. To find love. But she found something else.

The one she loves, loving another. A small huff was heard beside her, making her flinch. She slowly looked to the source of sound. She gasped lightly and started to smile, despite the tears that rolled constantly.

It was the deer she met a minutes ago. She bowed her head in greetings. The deer lowered its head as its front legs folded. He sat down beside her and plopped his head onto her lap. She giggled slightly, sadness now gone.

"It's just you and me against the world." she murmured, running her fingers lightly onto his mahogany coat. He made a small sound, before he closed his eyes, falling into slumber.

She sighed and smile softly before falling onto her back, the grass flattening under her delicate weight. She gazed up at the revealed cloudy sky with a solemn look.

"Come little children~" she started softly, her voice carrying out into the wild. "I'll take thee away~" she sang, her blue-purplish hues glinting in the light. "Into the land of enchantment~"

"Come little children . . ."

Doves flew above her before disappearing into the clouds. Squirrels padded through the trees, the wood being chipped by the woodpecker she grew to listen to everytime.

"The time's come to play . . ."

Jacob and Bella laughed back in the garage behind the house, talking about anything, Jacob completely forgetting about her for a single moment.

"Here in my garden of shadows . . ."

Daniella's eyes fluttered shut, exhaustion taking over her whole body, as the deer curled up beside her, a sign of protection. With her singing, the animals around her were lulled to sleep.

Peace surrounded the sleeping creaturesβ€”Daniella being the main cause. Crickets sounded around, making a soft humm for better slumber.

It was so different to not be around a male like Jacob, her best friend, she slept, knowing in the back of her head that he'd never look at her anything other than a sister or a friend.

Life wasn't lived to be fair and surely, her life would become worse when he doesn't return the love she harbors for him back.
