Y/N WAS CHEERFULLY BITING AKAZA'S SHOULDERS as she clung on to his back, Akaza sweatdropped as Y/n continued chewing on the shoulder, he let out a small chuckle, feeling it tickle a bit. "Akwazwa," she said as Akaza raised a brow. "Yes?" he asked as he gently and softly grabbed Y/n by her waist and dragged her into his arm as Y/n stopped biting his shoulder.

"There was thwis one twime where Pwapwa lwiterally hwugged me twill I cwan't breathe. Like, I swomtimews wonder if hwe wants to kill mwe," Y/n huffed as Akaza stared at her with dotted eyes. Though he couldn't really understand her clearly, he still listened to the small child anyways. "And thwen I hwave this one best fwiend, his nwame is Kuno, and hwe's so cute!" she jumped up and cheered. "Bwut I onlwy swee him as a fwiend, he's like a bworther to me," Y/n continued.

"And he usualwy goes CWAN YOU BELIEVE THAT COCKROACHEWS CAN FLY? I THWINK I'M GWONNA FWAINT!" Y/n blabbered as Akaza smiled softly. "You should be able to protect him then, you're braver, aren't you?" Akaza said.

"Kuno may be brave, but you're braver!" Akaza exclaimed as Y/n pulled her fist down and smiled brightly as sparkles appeared around her. "I'm bwaver! Yway!" she exclaimed. "Twake that twitle, you scwaredy Kuno," she punched the air as if it was Kuno. Akaza tied her braided hair with a proud smile, but he snapped when he remembered something.

"It's nearly the fireworks showcase time, let's go," Akaza urged as he grabbed the bag and grabbed Y/n before he carried her and then jumped on to the roof of the cottage, he made his way towards the middle of the cottage's roof and he sat down, Y/n plopped down next to him before she leaned back. "WOAH-" she said in surprise, about to fall down but Akaza held her back tightly and pushed her gently so that she could sit up straight.

Akaza then wrapped a blanket around him and Y/n as Y/n scooted close to Akaza, leaning on to his arm and holding his hand, entwining it tightly. Just then, colorful sparks of beauty bursted into the air as Y/n admired it brightly. Akaza smiled softly at Y/n as he ruffled her hair with his free hand before turning to the fireworks, the fireworks bursted in their hues as Y/n gasped in wonder.

"Pinky," Y/n called suddenly with a squeeze on his hand. Akaza raised a brow and he turned to her. "I jwust want to sway," Y/n said. "I love you."

Akaza's heart completely melted with warmth and endearment as he broke into a small smile, tears were actually gathering in his eyes and he quickly wiped them away. "I love you too, Y/n," he grinned as the both of them continued to watch the bursting fireworks.

As thirty minutes pass by, the fireworks ended with a huge one that said, 'Happy New Year!' it read as Y/n gasped. "Woah! So cool!" she beamed at the huge sparks. "Sparkly, isn't it?" Akaza asked. "Vewy!" Y/n continued as she repeatedly kicked her feet in the air happily. Akaza's palms were on her tiny back, making sure she won't fall to her demise.

"Hey, Y/n," he said.

"Yesh?" she asked.

"I'll protect you. Alright?" Akaza smiled warmly.

"Okay!" Y/n gave a thumbs up as she beamed up at him. "I'll also cuddle you, spoil you, be your best friend, and hug you, and squish you, and keep you warm," Akaza ranted before picking the girl up and hugging her tightly as Y/n choked.

"Ah sorry did I do it too hard?" Akaza asked softly before loosening his grip, making Y/n breathe. "And you're twying to kwill me," Y/n grimaced. "No, no, never," Akaza swore. "Okway," Y/n smiled at him before giggling as Akaza's fingers skilfully tickled her.

The both of them cuddled into each other's arms as Y/n laid there comfortably. "Tell me about your adventures," Akaza said curiously. "Okway so, one twime, me and my friend Kuno, we were running around the gwarden," Y/n said.

"Then, me and Kuno found out a small chwest that had a lock inside it, and I was like WOah! LooK at this Kuno WHAOIHHWEFOH and Kuno was like WOAH what is that? WAIT Y/N-CHAN DWONT OPEN IT, IT MAY BE POINOUSE AAKAASJSKJ I'LL PROTECT YOU, UNWESS THERE IS A COCKWACH, THEN I'M OUT. I was like hOw DoES A cHest even be PoisonED?" Y/n said as she explained and Akaza grimaced.

"I SNWEEZED, AND MY HWANDS SLIPPED ON THE LOCK, AND SOMEHWO THE NUMBERWS WERE RIGHT AND I SCREAMED AAAAOAIJSOJWOIHDWODIWF??? WHAT HAPPENED? and then Kuno was like AAKAAHSKKHEFOH THE SIGHT IS BLINDING ME, I CWANT SEE!" Y/n said with random hand gestures. "And we both looked inside to see a mirror, and I was like oH my goODness Kuno, you're so Uglwy that you blwinded yourswelf, I was clearly joking, but he took it too far PfTFFTTTT mE? i'M literally the hWottesT package in Twon other thwan you, he said, I rolled my eyes before stuffing my hwands and grabbed out to see cwoins!" Y/n exclaimed brightly.

"Bwut me and Kuno just gave it to the tweacher and we trwied to find the owner of the chest but no bodwy was found, so they uswed the money to fix the facilities in scwhool, the end," Y/n beamed. "Oh yweah, I forgwot that I gwot a note from the chwest that read DO NOT TOUCH. THIS BELONGS TO AKARITARI KARI, i dwo not understwand it so I just twook the letter with me," Y/n shrugged as Akaza laughed loudly. "It means that it the chest is owned by Akaritari Kari," Akaza explain as Y/n's mouth formed an O.
