((This is basically just the second movie, except there's a really big plot twist in the end. Also this was probably the longest fanfiction or any kind of story in general that I've ever written.

Summary: Me and Kevin get on the wrong flight and end up in New York

Words: 3.1k words

Me and Kevin and my whole family were trying to keep up with the family who were rushing to get to their flight to Florida. But I stopped when Kevin also stopped, noticing that he was trying to put new batteries in his walkboy. "Kevin? What are you doing?" I waited impatiently while occasionally glancing up ahead of us, "Just give me a second, Modesta." He stuffed the walkboy back into his bag and started running. I followed behind him while sighing in relief at the sight of Dad up ahead of us. Kevin accidentally bumped into the person taking tickets. "I'm so sorry." Kevin stopped while I also helped pick up the scattered plane tickets. "Me and my sister's family are on this plane." Kevin motioned towards me, just as I handed her a large pile of plane tickets. "Do you have your tickets?" She asked, "Well-" I looked down at the pile of plane tickets on the floor. "We have to close the gate." A man peeked out, "These two said their family is on this plane." She motioned towards me and Kevin. "Okay, make sure they locate their family." He ushered us inside. Once we stepped onto the plane, I saw Dad sitting up a couple seats. "There's my Dad right there." Kevin stated, "Good, now find an empty seat." The flight attendant said before leaving the plane. I took an empty seat right behind Kevin. I felt more relaxed knowing that I managed to get on the right plane, and hopefully not have the same thing that happened last year happen again. Although I wasn't really looking forward to spending Christmas in a tropical climate where there are no Christmas trees.

The plane landed and I followed Kevin off of the plane. Both of us stopped and watched everyone but our family exit the plane. "Where did those guys go?" Kevin asked, I shrugged. We sat in some seats located in the waiting room, a large city sitting behind us. "This doesn't look like Florida." Kevin turned around and looked at the large busy city in the distance, "We're gonna have to ask someone." I looked down at him. He nodded, so we went off to a desk where an attendant was on the phone. "Excuse me." She put the phone aside, "Can I help you?" She looked at both me and Kevin, "What city is that?" I pointed out the large glass windows. "New York." She responded. I slowly looked towards Kevin while he did the same, "We did it again." We both whispered to each other at the same time. "Do you need any help?" She asked us, "We'll be fine." Kevin answered before I could. Then we left the airport and took a taxi to get into town. I didn't trust someone like me and someone like Kevin being in this city alone. "What should we do?" I looked down at him, "I wonder what toy stores this place has." Kevin walked off. I sighed in annoyance and followed behind him, watching as he stepped into a small corner store.

After some exploring, Kevin stopped at the sight of the large plaza hotel. "What are you thinking?" I slowly followed behind as he walked into the fancy crowded hotel. "I got an idea." Kevin said. I rolled my eyes, wondering what he could possibly be up to this time. He made a message on the payphone located inside the hotel, then used his walkboy as a voice changer. "Smart." I whispered to him as we walked to the register table, "I know." Kevin laughed quietly. We both stood at the register desk, "Excuse me, I'm here to make a reservation." Kevin spoke up. The lady behind the desk looked at him with a confused look, "Reservation for our Dad, Peter McCallister." I added with a hopeful smile. "Okay, card?" She asked while Kevin reached into his pocket and pulled out our Dad's credit card. My eyes widened, knowing how expensive this hotel was. She scanned the card and returned it to Kevin. "May I take your bags?" An attendant asked as we passed by, so Kevin handed him his bag and we were led up to our room. "Everything good, temperature feels alright?" He asked us, "Yep." I tapped my foot against the floor impatiently, "Know how to work the TV?" He asked again, "I'm a kid, TV's my life." Kevin responded, causing me to laugh a little bit. Sometime that night while me and Kevin were watching a movie on the TV, both of us heard the sound of the hotel room door opening. He looked at me really quickly and motioned towards the bathroom, I nodded and turned off the TV before following him into the bathroom. Then he turned on the shower, used his walkboy and the inflatable clown our aunt gave him. The bathroom door creaked open, so Kevin started moving the inflatable while I turned on his walkboy. I heard the sound of Uncle Frank in the shower singing about cats, which almost made me die of laughter at the recording. "Hey, get out of here you nosy little pervert or I'll slap you silly!" The recording said. The attendant screamed before running out the room. Both me and Kevin high-fived before bursting out into laughter. Me and Kevin went downstairs the next morning to meet with the limo out in front. "Morning Mr and Miss. McCallister." He approached both of us, "I wanted to tell your Dad that I was simply checking the room." He said, "Well, our Dad seemed pretty pissed." I responded. He took his attention to me, "Oh, is he here today?" He smiled at me, "No, he left for work." I answered and watched as his smile turned into a frown. "I was hoping to speak with him." He said, "Would you want to see someone again after they saw you naked?" Kevin spoke up, "Uhm, no-" Both me and Kevin walked off towards the entrance. My jaw dropped at the white limo waiting outside in front of us, "For us?" I asked as someone opened the limo door while someone else handed us a hot and fresh box of cheese pizza; both me and Kevin's favorite kind of pizza. We climbed into the limo and immediately started eating pizza while the TV played The Grinch.

Kevin reached for the phone to talk to the driver, "Know any good toy stores?" He asked, "Oh, yeah." The driver responded. A couple minutes later he stopped in front of a large toy store called 'Duncan's Toy Chest.' Me and Kevin climbed out the limo looking completely shocked from the large toy store. Only Kevin picked something out since I was a little too old to be shopping for toys. The cashier seemed really nice, and Kevin even gave a large tip once he mentioned that all the money earned would be sent to a kid's hospital. It was nice knowing someone Kevin's age was so generous. The cashier even gave him two durte does for his generosity. While leaving the toy store, me and Kevin were standing outside looking at a map of New York, trying to figure out where to go next. But I was distracted by the sound of two familiar voices behind us. "Ok, where to next?" One voice said, "Well, you promised me you'd take me to the Central Park Zoo." Another voice said. I shrugged it off and decided to help Kevin look through the map. That was until I heard one of them say, "Look who it is." And, "Let's get them." Before the sound of footsteps were heard. I slowly turned around before Kevin did, and was shocked about who it was; Harry and Marv, the people who tried robbing our house last Christmas. "Hello again." Harry said before Kevin also turned around. Suddenly, Kevin started screaming, which shocked Harry and Marv, giving us enough time to run away. I darted across the road behind him, a few cars honking at us as we made it across the sidewalk. Even then I could still hear them chasing after us. I got aggravated when Kevin stopped at some small shop selling pearl necklaces, because I knew they would catch us if we didn't hurry up. Once he had bought them, we kept running until he once again stopped, but broke the necklace, spilling the pearls all over the sidewalk. Soon they came running at us a moment later, but tried over the pearls, "Yes!" Me and Kevin high-fived before running back to the hotel.

But we were stopped by the same attendant from earlier. "What's wrong? Stolen credit card?" He laughed. My face turned white, but Kevin grabbed my arm, "Stop them!" He shouted as he ran after us. "You go and escape, I got this." He nodded, "But what about them?" I cocked my head behind us, "Remember last year?" He asked. "Yeah, you're right. Be safe." I darted the other direction while he ran to the elevator. I pushed the exit doors open, but instead of running into the alleyway and successfully getting away, I landed right in the arms of Harry and Marv. "Shit." I mumbled, "Where's your little brother?" Harry grasped my shoulders tightly, "Why do you need to know?" I snarled at him, "Because that little squirt needs to pay for what he did last year." Marv spoke up. Except Marv looked much different than he did last year; his hair was more curly, he was wearing a different outfit, and his eyes somehow looked more of a bright blue. I could most definitely admit that he looked even more handsome than before. "But you deserved it." I spoke up after a long hard stare at Marv. "Shut up!" Harry actually fucking slapped me. My plane ticket for Miami fell out of my pocket, soon being picked up by Marv. "Oh, looks like someone was supposed to be in Miami. Too sad." Marv laughed and tore up the ticket right before my eyes. Soon the exit doors opened and out came Kevin. "There you are." Harry grabbed Kevin and yanked him with him, while Marv grabbed me. They forced out of the alleyway while Marv was very stupidly explaining their entire plan out in the open, thinking none of us would tell anyone. "Marv, can you shut up?" Harry stopped, "What? Their kids, they aren't going to talk to anyone." Marv shrugged, "I'm actually 19." I mumbled under my breath. While standing behind people waiting in line to cross the street, I saw a devious look on Kevin's face. He motioned towards me, then towards Harry and Marv. A couple seconds later, Kevin pinched my thigh. I broke my hands free from Marv, punching him right in the face, sending him backwards, before also punching Harry as well. Then we both made a run for it to the park, getting away successfully before they could figure out where we went.

After having a small talk with a nice lady we met in the park, we went walking to who knows where in the dark. Kevin sighed and stopped in front of a large building. "You okay?" I stopped and stared down at him, "I miss them." He responded, "Hey, it's okay. I do as well." I smiled and rubbed his shoulder. "You know what." Kevin spoke up, "What is it?" I asked, "You can mess with Christmas, but you can't mess with kids on Christmas." He said before grabbing my hand and running somewhere. Soon he stopped in front of our uncle's house, then he turned to me. "I'm gonna set up some traps, okay?" He motioned towards the old house, "Okay." I slowly nodded as I was unsure of where this was going. "I want you to go to Duncan's Toy Chest and stop Harry and Marv, then lead them here. Oh and, take this." He handed me a camera. "I gotcha." I winked before running off. As I predicted, Harry and Marv were stuffing money into duffel bags. A brilliant idea came to my mind. I grabbed a metal bucket, then placed a wooden board on top of it. Then I scanned over where I saw a brick lying next to the window. I smiled and grabbed it before knocking on the window. They both looked up shocked. "Hehe." I picked up the camera and took their picture. "She just took our picture!" I heard Harry say to Marv, "How did my hair look?" I chuckled at Marv's response. I picked up the brick and threw it at the window, shattering it, causing the alarm to go off. The robbers stuffed as much money as possible into the bags, then tried running out the now broken window. Harry stepped on the trap, realizing what was about to happen, he tried to stop Marv. "Marv, wait!" Harry shouted, "I'm coming Harry!" He jumped onto the other end of the wooden board. I watched as Harry was launched into the air, landing smack on top of someone's car. "Harry, that was incredible!" Marv rushed over to Harry, "I twisted my ankle on that board there." Marv was about to help Harry up. "Smile." I said. I tried my hardest not to burst out laughing when Marv actually smiled for the picture. Then ran towards where the house was just as Marv helped Harry up. Once getting there, I climbed through the tube and onto the roof where Kevin was waiting. "Hey losers, up here!" Kevin shouted at the confused looking robbers below us. "I'm gonna kill that kid-" Marv tried walking towards the front door, but was stopped by Harry. "No, don't." He looked at Marv, "But this isn't his house, he doesn't have any goodies to get us with." Marv complained, "May I do the thinking?" Harry said to Marv. "Modesta." Harry shouted up at me, "Yes?" I giggled lightly, "Nothing would thrill me more than to shoot you." He responded. "But I'll make a deal with you." Harry continued, "if you throw down your camera, we won't hurt you or your brother. Got it?" He asked, I just nodded. My eyes scanned towards the pile of bricks sitting behind me. I grabbed a brick and aimed straight for Marv's head, knocking him onto the ground. Me and Kevin burst out laughing at the shocked reaction from both of them. "You wanna throw bricks? Go ahead, throw another one!" Harry shouted at me. I reached for another brick and threw it at Marv once again. Marv laid sprawled out in pain on the dirty sidewalk. But for some reason, I started to feel bad for doing this, knowing that I had a crush on him ever since I first saw him last Christmas.

"If that's all you can do, you're gonna lose!" Harry snapped me out of my thoughts. I once again grabbed a brick, hesitated for a second, then threw a brick that hit Marv in the head again. "You got anymore bricks?" Harry shouted, I didn't respond. He looked down at Marv, "Get up Marv, she doesn't have any more bricks." He said to him, just then I grabbed another brick. Marv started speaking nonsense while pointing at me, causing Harry to turn around at the last second, as the brick hit Marv once again. I giggled lightly before running back into the house with Kevin.

Sometime later as I was walking around the old house, I spotted a rope hanging into a hole on the floor being held by a bag of flour. "Modesta!" A voice called out as I walked past, causing me to stop in my tracks. I peeked down the hole to see Marv, who looked like he'd already been caught in a few of Kevin's traps. "What do you want?" I crossed my arms, "Please, this is serious." He complained. I rolled my eyes before responding, "What could be so serious?" I asked him, "I know you probably won't listen to me after everything I've done to you this year and last year. But could you listen to me just this one time?" Marv begged. A feeling started building up in my stomach at his words. "Oh, I- yeah, sure." A coat of blush covered my face as I stuttered out my words. "I'm in love with you, I have been since I first saw you last year. I'm saying this if me and Harry end up in prison again." Marv spoke. His words dung deep into my heart, and burrowed into the very back of my mind. And at that moment I knew something had to be done... even if it meant betraying my brother over my own feelings. "That won't happen." I responded, "What? How do you know?" A confused look washed over his face at my words. "Cause there's a flour bag holding this rope, climb up it and I'll help you." I kneeled down, "Y-Your gonna help? But Kevin is your brother, you wouldn't betray him-" Marv responded, "For you I would." I looked down at him with a large smile. He smiled back and started climbing up the rope as I held onto it. Marv climbed out the hole on the floor, "Thank you." He looked down at me with a bright smile. Even though he was covered in paint, his face still looked just as handsome. "Marv, watch out!" Harry appeared in the same room as us, "No, wait Harry!" Marv stood protectively in front of me. "What? Why are you protecting her?" Harry asked, "She's on our side now, she told me herself." I peeked out from behind Marv and smiled at him. "Did you?" Harry asked me, I just nodded. "Then if you have the only evidence of us robbing the bank, then we can get the hell outta here." Harry answered. I pulled out the tape of Marv explaining their plan Kevin had recorded as well. "I stole his bag while we were leaving the roof. Let's go before he finds out." I threw his bag over my shoulder.

All of us snuck around the huge hole on the floor using wooden planks. At this time I never realized that Kevin was at the top of the stairs watching the whole time. We stepped outside as Marv grabbed the duffel bag of money off of the curb. "You know what this means? We're rich!" Marv cheered, "Not so loud you idiot." Harry shouted at him. That same night we did exactly what their plan was; moving to a foreign country with all the money we've earned. I knew it was all worth it at the end, knowing I would be spending the rest of my life with Marv. Even if it meant leaving behind my family.
