Isagi could have it any other way but the lords decided to test him today.

His eyes darted off to the auburn haired girl sitting across from him. God he hated those teal eyes of hers, her soft seven lashes that seemed to be more prominent than her brothers'. Isagi was staring but he already knew that by the way she gave him such a disgusted look. Isagi was always unfortunate to be partnered up with an Itoshi.

The season had already ended but someway somehow, an Itoshi followed him. He hated— hate was a strong word but he practically envied Rin and Sae Itoshi. Their skills on the field matched up to no other and Isagi was put through hell training with them. So when his teacher announced that they were having a final project coming up soon, Isagi prayed to the skies above him that Bachira would be his partner.

Yet there he found himself almost shot dead with her sharp stare.

Just kill me..now!

Isagi didn't even know what the project was about, his mind was clouded of insults she was going to say to him. Probably some she had gotten from her brothers. The project was told to be due in two weeks, which gave them ample time to talk and plan what they wanted to do. Though a bit of him was slightly happy. She was top of her class, she had the smarts and the only other person she would willingly work with was Reo, second of the class rank.

His eyes darted back to her. She's not looking. The more he stared at her, the more she resembled her older brother. Maybe that's why she was unapproachable. Rin on the other hand was still rude but he had a sense of emotion while his other two siblings..just seemed like the emotion was stripped out of them.

"You're number 108."

"Huh?"

Did she just say my..class rank?!

Isagi cleared his throat while she looked up from her paper. Their desk was turned to face each other, by their teacher's request. Seiren placed her pencil down. "What's your name?" she suddenly asks while the air was sucked out of him. "We've been in school..for half the year already." he mutters.

"Isagi Yoichi." he then says, giving her a short smile. Are they all so stuck up?! Isagi thinks, leaning into his chair before glancing off into the window. "Oh." Seiren said. Just oh?! He couldn't leave his thoughts. "You're that boy Rinnie hates." she adds on, pressing her finger into her cheek, her eyes falling on the field just outside the school.

There she could immediately spot her older brother. She sighs. "Glad to know.." Isagi rolls his eyes while Seiren glances back at him. "The topic is about history in Japanese songs. We can choose a genre. Any of them..it doesn't really matter." she starts writing her name on the worksheet their teacher had gave out.

"Do you want to go over this during lunch or after school?" he asks her while she stops to look at him. "Your house is fine." Seiren then continues on to write his name. I never even said anything about houses?! Isagi pouted, glancing over to Bachira and Reo who were mouthing him a goodluck, teasing him because he was partnered up with her.

Seiren noticed his distraction, looking back at them as they quickly came to a halt and turned around. "They're on your team." she says. "Yeah..they're kinda weird." Isagi chuckles lightly, unsure what else to say. "Uhm..would you like to go over my house today or tomorrow?"

In all honesty, Isagi just remembered how dirty his room was. The thought of a girl— especially her, in his room made his mind wander. I have to put my manga away..my figures..She's going to think I'm weird..?! Isagi was once again lost in his thoughts until Seiren rolled the piece of paper and smacked the top of his head.

"Focus."

How could he? She. Itoshi Seiren. Sister of Rin and Sae. The most unsociable human being he has ever met, was going to be in his room. The same girl who threw Valentine's Day chocolate in the trash..right in front of the boy who gave it to her. Seiren was going to be in his room.

What would Rin and Sae think if they find out?!

Isagi. Really?

It was a known, a very well known fact, that the brothers were overly protective of their sister.

Isagi gulped so hard she could hear it. Seiren gave him another look. "So after school?" he chuckles nervously, scratching his cheek while she nodded. "Sure." she said before they went quiet. Seiren sighed softly. That was a lot of talking..She thought, picking up her pencil before she began doodling on the bottom edge of the paper.

Their desks were still faced to each other and his eyes caught on the small stars that she had drew. Her elbow was propped up on the desk, her cheek resting on her right palm. She's left handed. "Stop staring." Seiren mutters tiredly. "Sorry.."

Isagi couldn't understand what it was about her that made her so different from her brothers. She looked exactly like Sae but there was something that made her stand out. The more his eyes wandered on her face, he was able to catch onto the beauty mark underneath her lashes. They stood out so much that just that small dot was barely visible.

The bell rang as it was time for lunch.

Isagi noticed she was never in the lunch room nor was she outside with her brothers while they went one on one with each other. She was hiding somewhere else in the building and today his legs unconsciously followed her. Reo and Bachira had stopped him, asking him how it was working with her but he only shook it off.

"She's not too bad. Just quiet."

Before they could say anything else, Isagi rushed off in a hurry. Seiren was walking farther and farther away, almost disappearing into the sea of students walking out of their classrooms. Isagi made a complete stop once he saw her talk to Rin. The younger brother was the most protective of her despite saying he didn't care for his older sister.

His gaze slowly met Rin's while Seiren nodded her head towards Isagi's direction. Did..I do something?! Why is he looking at me like he's about to kill me?! Should I just get to lunch now?! Isagi started walking backwards once Rin started walking to him. "Where's Bachira?!" he said to himself, turning around as he frantically started searching for his friends.

But just as he was about to wave to Chigiri, his collar was pulled from behind him and he was suddenly pushed into empty classroom.

Why me?!

"What are you doing with my sister?" he recognized the voice to be Rin's of course. Isagi quickly regained his balance, staring at his teammate. "We're just doing a project together, Rin." he said, crossing his arms. Rin squinted his eyes, sharpening his gaze at the boy before the door slid open. "Rinnie." Seiren had a small pout on her lips when Isagi turned to her. Rin then stared at her with a guilty expression on his face.

"What Renny.." Rin walked over to her while her eyes darted off to the blue eyed male, back to her younger brother. "It's a project. You worse than Sae." Seiren pinched his arm, earning a glare from him. "I told you so you can tell Mom and Dad that I'm not coming home with you. Not so you can interrogate him." she said, eyeing her brother up and down before leaving.

It was silent until Isagi almost let out his laugh, leading Rin to glare at him. "I don't want your dirty germs on my sister, you lukewarm bastard." Rin then made his leave, Isagi standing alone before letting out a deep sigh. "He's so moody..just yesterday he said I was a decent enough player.." Isagi huffed out, walking out into the hallway.

He watched her figure start to walk towards the stairs. Is she going to the roof? He quietly treads behind her while students trickled in and out of the hallway. He pushed his way through them, mumbling his sorries while he tried keeping his eyes on her. The hell am I chasing her for? Before he knew it, he stood behind the door leading up to the rooftop, hesitating to push it open.

Gently he pushed and the door creaked, cursing at himself before letting himself out. The warm sun rays kissing his skin, his deep-blue eyes rolled over to the ledge where she stood behind. Seiren was looking over the school's field, watching her brothers kick the stupid ball around while their teammates cheered the other on.

She didn't understand football— never will. She didn't get what made her brothers so intrigued in it. Why they begged her to join them to play when they were young. Seiren would rather stay in her room for as long as she remembered. She liked sleeping, she liked studying. She wasn't interested in anything physical like her brothers.

She wasn't deaf to the fact that the door had opened, deciding not to turn around, she kept her gaze on the field. "Is this where you always go?" his voice suddenly appeared next to her. "Why should you care?" Seiren responded. Despite having no interest, she was for sure jealous of her brothers. They had something they were extremely good at and her? All she had was the number rank of her class.

"Just wondering.."

Perhaps in this sunlight, she didn't look like her brothers. Isagi recognized her as just Seiren. She had this mermaid look to her, her long disheveled auburn hair flowed just above her waist, her plump pink lips that she decorated with her favorite cherry lipgloss. She glanced at him. "Do you always stare at people?" she huffed.

"I try not to..it's a bad habit. Sorry."

Okay. Wow. She's pretty.

There was no lie there. The Itoshi's were known for their sharp looks but at this moment, Isagi thought this was the softest she's ever appeared. She swept her hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ear while her bangs fell forward. Seiren kept her gaze on him. He suddenly felt embarrassed, the tip of his ears turning red.

"Stop staring Isagi."

She brushed past him, for a second his fingers grazed her hand, getting a whiff of her signature cherry scent. For some reason he didn't want her to leave, he wanted her to stay a bit longer by his side but before he knew it, she was already back inside. Isagi felt his heart pound.

"Oh I am so so cooked."
