Whoever did such a war crime, placing two and a half hours of Physical education on a Friday afternoon without food is a genuine threat to humanity. That guy or girl needs to be hunted down by international security agencies.
They pose a threat to my mental well-being. AND TO YUKI'S.
"Yuki, are you sure that you will participate in Physical education today? Since our classes always have them together." I said after Amikura and Hasebe walked to a table to claim for us. They were quite a bit faster than my sister, so I didn't mind and waited for this adorable sibling of mine.
Yuki looked up to my face whilst choosing a rather medium-expensive meal set.
"N-Not sure. This will be the first time I am going to participate after two years..."
"Don't worry about it. If you start to feel weird then catch some breath. The teachers won't force you to participate. And besides, if you need help---"
"---Then I can ask you. I know that Onii-chan. Can you help me carry these meals? One is for you. Don't worry about the payment. I paid for you since you paid for Ichinose on the other day."
"Ah..." I then took one of her orders, which belonged to me apparently, and helped her carry these to our table. Hasebe was eating already whilst Amikura was waiting patiently for us to arrive.
The food that Yuki ordered for me, was quite simple. Some Nigiri sushi and some Kakinoha sushi. With a glass of lemonade with it. Yuki's order wasn't that different either.
Sushi with fried shrimp.
"Itadakimasu," The three of them said simultaneously
Well, Hasebe doing that was kinda ironic but I don't mind. It didn't take long for a conversation to start.
Amikura was the one who did it, asking Hasebe a question:
"Hasebe-san, what is your class like? In terms of people?"
I wonder why she didn't ask me that question, but I assume that girls have a thing for asking each other basic questions and making a long conversation out of it.
My little sister continued eating her food like a toddler and I was just listening.
"To be honest... I don't know most of them. I probably forgot almost everybody's name. Of course, except for Suou, Hirata and Kushida-san. But the others are quite a mystery to me. Of course, there was Miyacchi, another guy like Suou-kun. However, the rest of the boys in our class are either brutal, narcissistic, or simple perverts."
"(If she'd know...)" Yuki chuckled and stared into my face. I don't think I am a pervert.
Nah. That's delusional for me to say.
"You think so? I guess, to have a real opinion on the whole class, you need first, to watch them or to hold a conversation with them. Then I guess you could make a good opinion based on that." Yuki said, in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Ah, when it comes to watching, Suou-kun is creepy," Hasebe said with a giggle.
"Pardon?"
"Well, Suou-kun you seem quite interested in every single girl of our class, am I right? You are even staring at the guys sometimes!"
'Oppsie whoopsie. I got caught~' that's what my sister would say. But I am Kiyotaka. Not Yuki.
"Eh~ My brother is bi-sexual?!"
"No I am not bi-sexual. But what do you want me to do most of the time during boring lessons, Hasebe?"
"Maybe not glare at Horikita-san? Except you are in love with her~" Now Hasebe started an avalanche.
It's over for me. Amikura started smirking. Yuki's eyes widened before beginning to smile.
"That's a weird assumption. She would rather end herself than having to date me."
"Eh~ You think so Suou~kun?" Amikura slowly closed a little distance. Leaning on my right arm.
"Dehehe~ Onii~chan...Bold of you to assume she wouldn't date you~"
Now this is terror. I thought that Yuki already is brain-damaged. But apparently, she found two new friends who were as bad as her.
"Don't think that~ Suou~kun. You would love Horikita-san's thighs to sit on you~" Amikura is worse than Yuki. Well, as of now.
That is an undeniable fact. Whoever decided that I needed to have lunch with three crazy girls is worse than any dictator in the world. I am getting mentally abused here.
"She wants you, Nii-Nii~" As adorable as my little sister is, this was quite insane. In public as well.

Physical Education. For most, it's the best thing in school. But for me, and most other loners, it's hell. In games like dodgeball, you will get chosen to join their team the last every single time.
I didn't hate it. It's just crazy annoying. As good as you want to be, if you are not popular, the chance that you will get put in a good team, or even if you get put in a team and don't get excluded from the game entirely, is low.
Yuki would get mad if she saw this. Her older brother is unpopular and completely excluded from the rest of the class. But thankfully, we don't have Physical Education with the girls as well.
If we did so, this would be embarrassing as hell. Not only for me but also for Yuki.
"So boys, I thought of doing a bit of fitness today! We will play games in the other part of the lesson. For this one and a half hour, we are going to do some sprinting, jumping, racing, and stamina running. The girls will be there as well, just for your information. Please get your sports jacket, since outside it's unfortunately, quite cold."
Our teacher said, and well. This completely shattered my hopes of not getting humiliated once again. However, one thing which is quite nice is, that it's athletic. This means there is no team, no winner or loser, and most importantly: it's only competition.
That could be one of the few times for me to shine. However. This is not an option for me. I won't do this much just to make Yuki smile.
After all, she will realize that I didn't do it for myself, but only for her due to my lack of motivation.
"Dang... Only the times when I am trash in sports, we are doing it together with the girls..." Ike said. And well, some of the guys could relate. However, on the other hand, Sudou was excited.
Even though he is superior to almost everyone in sports, he was never this excited.
I was standing next to him and Hirata, who was behaving normally, unlike everyone else.
"Why so excited Sudou?"
"Look Ayanokouji, you finally get to show off! Dude, I can finally see what your body is capable of!" He said since he already addressed me about my well-built body.
"That's what you are excited for?"
"Well, we are friends. And this can be finally the time when you can also shine. Judging by the P.E. lessons from the last time this week, you were barely average. Sometimes even performing below average. I am sure you will do something this time, and don't forget. We are competing with Class-B members as well." He told me.
But should I try and show off?
Anyway, we went to our locker rooms and got our jackets on. I also changed my long sweatpants to short ones. Gloves weren't necessary, but since they are windproof and we are going to do sprinting and stamina racing, they will help my hands from freezing.
"Guys, wanna do some bets? We are going to the 60-meter sprint stripe, so it's only logical to do some bets out of fun, whoever is going to win right?" Shibata, a guy from Class B, proposed a fun way to compete with each other, giving us a higher rush of adrenaline later.
Just as expected, everyone agreed, except the loners who just kept quiet and went along with the flow.
This is also an opportunity to gain popularity huh? But is it necessary to be popular?

As we were now outside and patiently waiting for the teacher to arrive, we noticed the girls were also quite excited. Probably making some bets as well.
Horikita, who stood next to me, then began whispering, but not that quiet.
"(What do you think of Class-B?)" She said, asking me about my thoughts on them. However, just like Amikura and Yuki said earlier.
I can't judge them. After all the only ones I talked with were my sister, Amikura, and Ichinose. That's it.
"(Huh? They are quite nice. Why asking?)"
"(Just wanted to know your opinion on them, thanks.)"
Strangely, she then distanced herself. What was that about?
Sudou, my 'competitor' stood next to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"(Good luck on the ice queen my guy. Now, you should do something and shoot above the mark.)"
"(Having you as my opponent isn't helping at all, Sudou.)"
"(How about I let you win in the 60 meter dash?)"
"(I would rather like to loose and keep up fairly, somewhat.)"
He laughed a little, before going back to some other guys as the teacher arrived. Sensei was in a good mood I guess. The teacher for the girls, sadly Hoshinomiya, seemed to be in a quite good mood as well.
What is it that everyone is in a good mood today, except me?
"So everyone. I think we should do a benchmark, for the guys, I propose a benchmark of below 9.5 seconds for the boys and 10 seconds for the girls which need to be beaten for a good grade. We are going to do three runners in three parallel lanes, 60 meter sprints should be known to all of you, how they work. So have fun. We also need one to do a countdown with this whistle."
He then paused a little.
"The third whistle is longer which signals the start of the sprint and that's when the clock is running."
Whoever partners up is probably not decided and we are free to choose, whoever our opponent shall be.
And I can already feel the problem rising here.
Yuki gave me a thumbs up, and then Shibata and Sudou, the main competitors of our year, walked up to me.
I assume that this will be a hard task. Beating them is no joke for anybody. They both are fast and mobile.
"Ayanokouji, wanna join us two? We need a third runner, thus I thought of you." Sudou said.
Sudou and Shibata are almost similar in terms of athletic ability. And well, there is quite a chance that these two will gap you in such races with ease.
"Sure." I accepted his invitation regardless. So now, I need to make my name some honor.
We were the first trio to line up or more likely to decide to run against, the girl who wasn't able to participate, Maya Satou, who began to give us the first signal, which meant we needed to get into position.
The second one told us to get ready for launch.
And then it came
3... 2... 1...
"WHISTLE"
Shibata and Sudou had perfect launches. Mine was a bit delayed, of like 0.3s.
But that advantage in the launch was gone quickly, as momentum was building up, I slowly caught up to them. The wind brushing through my hair made it a little worse in terms of aerodynamics.
It slowed us down, for sure. Yet we were still incredibly fast for 15-year-olds.
"Dude my bet!"
"What the?!"
"That's what I call a wolf in sheep's clothing!"
The most ridiculous lines were spoking among many boys and girls, as the reaction of me passing the other two runners in the last millisecond.
"8.3 seconds for Shibata Sou. 8.28 seconds for Sudou Ken. and 8.22 seconds for Suou Kiyotaka. Great performance!"
The other two runners were a bit drained in terms of stamina since they were running at full throttle for the first second.
Regardless, power to weight beats them. Sudou weighs more than me and is taller, however probably a little bit weaker in his feet. Shibata probably weighs a bit less than me, however, is as tall.
Height, weight, and width are important with headwinds.
"Fucking hell...I was inhaling a whole refrigerator!" Sudou said, slowly walking back to the start. Shibata was also not in the best mood after finishing third, whilst he was the favorite.
"Dude you caught up even though you were sleeping on the starting line..."
"Without headwind, you two would have obliterated me for sure."
"I was running at all my strength..." He was inhaling and exhaling deeply. Whilst I was breathing normally.
I began jogging back to the start to keep my muscles ready for a second run. The wind then stopped after my run and everyone else had better conditions. Except for the cold.
I beat the benchmark by almost one and a half seconds, which is insane, even though Sudou and Shibata were close to me. Even if they were beaten. They are still brutally quick for my age.
The average guy our age with average height and weight runs the 60 meters between the mid 8 seconds or the low 9 seconds. On the other hand, we were far above average in sprinting. That's for sure.
And we did these numbers with the wind slowing us down at top speed.
"You didn't hold back on this one huh?" Horikita said, approaching me.
"I never was holding back in the first place. Just luck that there was wind from the other direction or I would have lost."
"Just surprising how athletic you are. Your appearance made it look like you had absolutely zero chance against these two. Besides, why was there a girl from Class B cheering for you?" She questioned the girl, she had brown hair and wasn't the tallest. Turned out, it was my sister which she meant.
Should I tell her? No there is no reason to do so.
"Don't know. Who are you running against? I assume the best of the best?" I made that assumption based on her looks. She was nowhere close to being unfit.
In an all-around package, she was by far the most athletic girl in our class next to Onodera, which is a member of the swimming club.
I am just curious about the physical ability of one other girl. It's Kujou Alisa. Apparently, according to Hasebe and Amikura, back at lunchbreak, she was a Russian girl, who spoke both languages fluently.
Means, that whenever I talk in Russian, she will understand me with ease, however, Kujou still doesn't know of that fact. She seems to be just like Horikita but without a superiority complex.
I never saw Kujou talking with anybody in our class. She was just here to study. I never even heard her voice once. Plus I was never in a radius of 5 meters next to her.
But I think that things will surely change over time. Kushida was desperately trying to befriend Horikita, which means not even Kujou would be excluded from that matter.
"I am running against Kujou and Onodera-san. Aren't you also a bit curious about her?"
"Not that much, but still. I don't need to hide my interest in her and other students from our class. Horikita, good luck, you three are next. Also, don't lose."
"Thanks for the advice." She frowned and got to her position.

[A/N]
So, it's...Tuesday? I seriously don't know when to release this, however... Just like everyone wanted, Alya is also introduced :3
Not really, but she will get introduced more precisely later on. However, before I do that, let me hear your thoughts on this chapter.
Anything you would want me to do next chapter? I noticed that absolutely nobody did a P.E. lesson chapter in any fanfic... Weird to read this right?
We are still at the slice-of-life part, and well.
What do you think of the teasing trio Haruka-Amikura-Yuki??
I mean, this is gonna follow this dude until death.
PLUS, what do you think, is this length of a chapter fine for everyone? Around 6000 words in this one.
I mean, I could make them longer and shorter, but that will affect updates and writing...
Besides, how is everyone doing with school? Or work? Or whatever you are doing as a leisure activity?
Also, about the book cover, I will update it in the following days or so.
Have a nice day <3
